Gute Lage und freundliches Personal, aber typisches Partyhostel und entsprechend laut. Unser Fenster ließ sich leider nicht komplett schließen, so dass noch der Lärm von der Straße hinzukam. Zusätzlich war das angebrachte Fliegengitter komplett kaputt, was es Mücken und anderen Tieren erleichtert ins Zimmer zu gelangen. Außerdem hatten wir Bettwanzen im Zimmer und können jetzt erstmal unser Gepäck komplett durchsuchen ob wir welche mitschleppen

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Maze Hostel in Sydney and would strongly advise anyone to stay far away from this place. First of all – bed bugs. Not just once, but repeatedly. There were bed bugs in our room, and we later found out that people who stayed in the same room before us had the exact same issue. Clearly nothing is being properly cleaned or treated. It feels like they are just ignoring the problem and letting new guests suffer. On top of that, there are cockroaches everywhere. In the hallways, common areas, near the rooms, and even in the TV room. It’s disgusting and makes the whole place feel unhygienic and unsafe. The smell in this hostel is horrible. The hallways stink, the common areas stink, and especially the TV room smells like sweat, old food, and dirty carpets. It’s extremely unpleasant and constant. Ventilation is basically non-existent. It’s always hot, stuffy, and the air feels dirty. There is no proper air conditioning, and the fans barely work. Sleeping is almost impossible because of the heat and bad air quality. When we complained about the bed bugs, there was no real solution offered. No refund at all, even though this is a serious hygiene issue. Even worse, my friend wasn’t even allowed to move to another room despite having booked one. They simply didn’t care. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted annoyed and brushed us off like it was our problem. Overall, this hostel is dirty, poorly managed, uncomfortable, and clearly doesn’t care about guests’ health or comfort. Bed bugs, cockroaches, bad smells, heat, and rude staff – one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Wir hatten Bettwanzen. - unprofessioneller Housekeeper der sie nicht bemerkt hat - stressige nacht in der wir 0,0 unterstützt wurden - zu wenig geld für das Waschen und Trocknen unserer Sachen bekommen - zu wenig Waschmaschinen und Trockner für 8 Leute - es wurden keine anderen Lösungen geboten - manager den wir dann 3 tage später sprechen konnten war unfreundlich, hat keinen Fehler eingesehen, wir haben weder einen Refund oder ähnliches bekommen Mochte das hostel eigentlich gerne aber naja

The rooms are small and smelly. We found bed bugs. The building is very old, and not well maintained. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff was really not friendly, be careful for your check out they charge me one more night for check out late + they didn’t give me back the key deposit as they say as a fine. So 60$ in total, non sense. Hygiene terrible With my roommate we had some bed bugs issues. They didn’t change the pillow case neither the blanket after 3 different people changement, just the sheet new… Not social hostel.

Es war die mit Abstand schlechteste, ekelerregenste, schmutzigste und stinkenste Unterkunft, in der ich je war - keinen Cent wert! Zimmer haben einen ungeputzten Teppichboden, auf welchem zahlreiche Kaugummis, Dreck und Haare von Vorbewohnern/-innen kleben/liegen. Man bekommt nur ein Tuch, um sich vor der Bettdecke, welche vermutlich zuletzt bei der Produktiom geschwaschen würde, schützen zu können - einfach nur ekelhaft. Mich und meinen Freund juckt es seitdem am ganzen Körper - vermutlich wohnen auch Bettwanzen dort. Ich habe drei Stunden geschlafen, da ich von Jucken und Gestank aufgewacht bin. Ach ja, Zimmer stinken nach Urin und modern. Hab in der Nacht noch eine andere Unterkunft gebucht und wollte mein Geld für die zweite Nacht, die wir dort eigentlich noch gebucht hätten, zurück haben. Geben keinen Cent zurück. Einfach nur Hände weg - mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen. Ist vermutlich komfortabler unter der Brücke zu schlafen.

Simple but clean, no bed bugs. We were satisfied with everything the Maze has to offer. For the price you shouldn't expect more but it's worth it. Some staff members were not very friendly that's why four stars out of five
