- 1 solo baño para todo el hostel Los cuartos estan construidos con paredes de cartón Ventilacion cero Todos voluntarios trabajando como esclavos por un salario miserable

- Muito sujo, cozinha com utensílios velhos e quebrados, toalhas manchadas, lençóis furados, bed bugs.
- Durante mi estancia en el Hotel Oasis del 3 al 5 de noviembre, en la noche del 4 de noviembre fue abierto el locker donde estaban mis pertenencias, robado mi pasaporte (con valor de 130 dólares) y dinero en efectivo (60,000.00 colónes y 15 dólares) con un perjuicio total de 262 dólares. En su momento el personal del Hostel me apoyó llamando a la policía para hacer mi reporte. Solicité al personal que me diera información de lo grabado por las cámara de seguridad y hasta el momento no me han dado respuesta y por parte del dueño, él siempre estuvo ausente. Por lo que uno podría llegar a pensar que tal vez fue alguien del personal y lo están encubriendo o las cámaras que tienen son solo de adorno, ya que se encuentran en buenos ángulos para haber grabado al ladrón.
+ Ci hanno accolto una ragazza e un ragazzo che erano lí come volontari, molto carini e accoglienti. Peccato non poter dire lo stesso per la dipendente né tantomeno per il proprietario.
- Consiglio spassionato: EVITATE, anche se questo significa dover pagare un po' di piú! Premesso che alloggio sempre in ostelli e non ho mai avuto problemi di questo genere. Arrivate in stanza, notiamo sporcizia ovunque: cuscino letteralmente nero, lenzuola con macchie di sangue, toccando la biancheria del letto avevo la sensazione di avere la mano unta. Dopo poco iniziamo a vedere cucarachas grandissime che giravano nella stanza. A quel punto abbiamo deciso di avvisare la ragazza della reception di tutto ciò e andare via. Le abbiamo chiesto di poter parlare con il proprietario per poter chiedere il rimborso della notte poiché la responsabilità era della struttura e non doveva essere dell'ospite. Con aria di sfida e arroganza ci ha risposto che non c'era fretta e che non era possibile parlare con il proprietario. Dopo due ore e dopo aver insistito piú volte, con la nostra pazienza al limite, la ragazza decide di chiamare al telefono il proprietario, il quale con ancora piú arroganza e strafottenza ci risponde che non era un suo problema e che non poteva restituirci i soldi perchè noi stavamo decidendo di andare via (inutili i tentativi per fargli capire che il nostro andar via era dovuto a delle loro mancanze e alle condizioni pessime in cui lasciano la struttura!). Per fortuna al check-in avevamo pagato una sola quota, poiché non avevano il resto (chiaramente, non era possibile pagare con la carta!). L'apice é arrivato quando il proprietario ci ha minacciate di ritirare l'altra quota direttamente dalla carta utilizzata al momento della prenotazione se avessimo scritto una cattiva recensione (peccato non poter allegare il video che testimonia, ma potete vedere alcune foto della camera). Fine della storia, ci ritroviamo alle 23.30 in strada, senza un posto dove dormire e senza rimborso. A mio avviso strutture del genere non dovrebbero neanche comparire su booking.

- The list is long. No musquitos nets. A lots of bigs in the room. We have to fight an investation of eggs and small worm in the room. Sheet on the bed all ripped. Bed not comfy at all. Pillow event worse. Showers not clean. Sometimes it s hard to have toilet paper. They offer coffee but not sugar/cream. No sure but might have matress flea..

Este Hostel está recién comprado por su actual dueño, él delega a todos sus voluntarios practicament el 80% de la administración, una de ellas Argentina fue bastante grosera con nosotros...cobran por la llave extraviada 10 dòlares...retienen los documentos de identidad para dar la llave, cosa que es ilegal...El cuarto donde nos quedamos que son varias camas tenian camas hasta el techo como si la gente fuera mono para subir hasta allà. en mi opinión demasiadas camas en una habitacion tan ...
This Hostel is newly bought by its current owner, he delegates to all his volunteers practically 80% of the administration, one of them Argentina was quite rude to nosotros...they charge for the lost key 10 dollars...they withhold identity documents to give the key, which is illegal...The room where we stayed which are several beds had beds up to the ceiling as if people were here to climb up there. in my opinion too many beds in such a small room

Epic stay with an amazing location it’s right on the beach and in town. There’s a nice common area and the kitchen is in great condition and has everything you need (which really helps considering eating out in puerto viejo is so dang expensive!) it’s a chill vibe and great place to meet other travelers.
+ Sehr freundliches Personal und Besitzer (neu seit ein paar Wochen), sind bemüht alles sauber zu halten Gut ausgestattet Küche Doppelzimmer war super, es gab genügend Regale für das Gepäck, ein Moskitonetz, eine bequeme Matratze und saubere Bettlaken. Eine Dusche mit Warmwasser (selten in so warme Regionen)
Very friendly staff and Owner (new for a few weeks), are trying to keep everything clean Well equipped Kitchen Double room was great, there were enough Regale für das Gepäck, a Moskitonetz, a decent Mattress and clean Bedlinen.
Ich habe die Tage im Hostel sehr genossen. Die Lage ist perfekt: direkt am Strand und nicht mitten in Puerto Viejo. Dadurch hört man nachts keine Musik und kann in Ruhe schlafen.Morgens kann man rings herum Brüllaffen sehen und hören und wenn man in den Bäumen sucht, sieht man auch mal ein Faultier.Die Außenküche ist sehr cool und hat alles, was man braucht.Alle waren wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ein wirklich angenehmer Vibe dort.
I really enjoyed the days in the hostel. The location is perfect: right on the beach and not in the middle of Puerto Viejo. So you don't hear music at night and can sleep in peace. In the mornings you can see and hear rings around Brüllaffen and if you look in the trees, you can also see mal ein Faultier. The outdoor kitchen is very cool and has everything you need. Everyone was really very nice and helpful. A really pleasant vibe there.

- Nachts im Bett hat es feucht und moderig gerochen! Im Zimmer gab es nirgends Platz um etwas abzulegen, kein einziges Regal, nichts. Die Rucksäcke musste man unter das Bett in den Staub schieben! Sie erwarten, dass man Barfuß läuft, das ist so ekelhaft! Der Schwamm in der Küche sieht aus, als wäre er seit einem Monat in Gebrauch. Als die Mitarbeiter Dinge auf der Wäscheleine umhängen mussten, haben sie mein frisches Handtuch unter ein dreckiges gehangen, meins war danach braun!! So eklig!
The kitchen was well equipped, there was Sugar, Milk,... and a brand new Pan! At night the bed smelled damp and mild! In the room there was nowhere to put anything down, not a single shelf, nothing. The Rucksakes had to be shoved under the bed in the Dust! They expect you to run Barefoot, it's so disgusting! The Schwamm in the kitchen looks like it's been in use for a month. When the employees had to hang things on the Laundry Line, they hung my fresh Hands under a dreck, my wares were very dark...
+ Die Lage ist gut, da der Strand und das Stadtzentrum in unmittelbarer Nähe sind. Die Mitarbeiter bemühen sich sehr die Anlage sauber zu halten.
- Ein Hostel mit vielen sehr jungen Leuten, die viel Zeit im Aufenthaltsbereich verbringen. Nachts ist es etwas unruhig, da immer wieder Leute betrunken nach Hause kommen und das Hostel ziemlich hellhörig ist. Das Doppelzimmer ist relativ eng und es fehlen ein paar Möglichkeiten Dinge zu verstauen. Eine warme Dusche und zwei Toiletten für so viele Betten sind etwas zu wenig und es kommt zu Wartezeiten. Insgesamt haben wir für diesen Preis auf unserer Reise durch Costa Rica deutlich bessere Unterkünfte gefunden.
The location is good, as the beach and the city center are in the immediate vicinity. The staff makes a great effort to keep the facility clean. A hostel with a lot of very young people who spend a lot of time in the living area. At night it is a bit uncomfortable, as people always come home drunk and the hostel is pretty hellish. The double room is relatively cramped and there are few options to store things. One warm shower and two toilets for so many beds are a bit too few and there are waiti...
+ Neuer und netter Inhaber, der bemüht ist Feedback einzuholen und die Unterkunft sanieren möchte, nettes Personal, haben sich Mühe gegeben im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten alles sauber zu halten
- Lappen und Schwamm wurden trotz fragen, nicht gewechselt, allgemein ist es nötig die Unterkunft zu sanieren, was bald geschehen wird, Stühle sollten dringend ersetzt werden, das Dorm ist für 9 Personen zu klein

Very friendly staff who let me extend my stay for a night last-minute and gave me a tent which was very kind! Great location literally metres from the beach, good kitchen facilities and very reasonable price, especially considering the location.
+ Le fait qu’il sois bord de plage est vraiment chouette. Le lit étais confortable. Le backpack en lui même étais silencieux les gens étais respectueux.
- Le bruit, fort proche de la route impossible de dormir (moto, voiture, quad, bruit des gens cris). Le parking n’est pas vraiment un parking il n’y a pas de place prévue, il faut vraiment un pilote pour manœuvrer. Pas assez de douche une seule douche d’eau chaude et une d’eau froide. (Douche commune) une seule toilette également pour tout le monde.
The fact that you were on the beach is really cool. The bed was comfortable. The backpack itself was quiet the people were respectful. The noise, very close to the road impossible to sleep (motorcycle, car, quad, noise of people screaming). The parking is not really a parking lot there is no space planned, you really need a pilot to manoeuvre. Not enough shower a single hot and cold shower. (Common shower) a single toilet equally for everyone.

+ Ambiente suoer descontraido, funcionários atenciosos , praia na porta , cozinha bem equipada , ótima localização, alguns mosquitos porem nada fora do normal, atmosfera ideal pra curtir o caribe
- Fiquei em um quarto com muitas mulheres, algumas de calcinha e isso tirava mimha concentração, muito difícil para um homem , mas faz parte do negócio
Suoer relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, beach na porta, well-equipped kitchen, great location, some mosquitoes will do nothing out of the ordinary, ideal atmosphere for curtir o caribe I stayed in a room with many women, some in underwear and that made me concentrate, very difficult for a man, but it's part of the business

+ Impresionante la ubicación, junto a la playa y a dos cuadras del centro. Increíble la cantidad de animales que se ven en el mismo patio del Hostel! Muy relajante, tranquilo y muy buen ambiente! El staff del Hostel son lo mejor que hay! Cande, Marti, Guada y Jazmin son divinas!

really nice vibe her and chill staff. the property have alot of potential with the new owners. good value and nice outdoor area plus kitchen. I only think this hostel needs to replace the keys with code locker and maybe some social activites like barbeque nights because outdoor area was really chill and felt like the amount of people staying at the hostel would be a good group.

i loved it here, definitely my favorite hostel! i booked 2 nights and ended up staying for 6. it has new owners, and they’re working hard to better everything on the property. super social, and an amazing location. one night a mom & baby sloth climbed through the common area. plus a second baby sloth lives right outside of the hostel on the beach! the volunteers were so kind & fun, definitely stay here! there are personal fans, lights in each bed, & mosquito nets. i’ll 100% be coming back :)
