Very safe hostel with everything you need. Pro: Friendly staff Clean compared to other hostels in Morocco 24h reception and a security guard in front of the door, lockable rooms and free lockers in the dorm Breakfast buffet was nice, 80 dirhams No bedbugs! 👍🏼 Con: We wrote to them about an airport pickup and they replied and asked us to send our flight number to confirm it. Then they never replied back and no one came to pick us up. Also when we arrived during the night there was no clean bed in the dorm for one of us and also there was no fresh blanket to be found anywhere so I spent the night in used sheets. The dorms could be better equipped: no curtains, no reading light or nightshelve The bathroom is directly en-suite with the dorm so it’s quite loud

Rubbish service, lots of hidden fees and deposits - the house rules literally say that there is probably bed bugs and that it’s not their fault basically. The staff were rude and unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend this! Staff had no idea what they are doing and didn’t explain anything.

We were there in June 2025, the location was really scetchy. We felt not safe on the way back home. But it was central. After having read about Bed Bugs, we first checked the bedframes and matresses, and found evidence for recent plagues. When we contacted the staff he was really unfriendly, and tried to gaslight us. Since we signed their “bedbug” policy we could only choose another room , instead of cancel the booking. So … i would not return.

Hostel is pretty and near the center of the medina. It has a swimming pool, rooftop (but it’s very dusty) and rooms are okay, bathroom had a weird smell. Only thing we really disliked was the way the personnel treated us. They were quite rude to us. Also they have rules for when you come from the dessert regarding bed bugs, the idea is good but how they handled this was very rude.

the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. They messed up my booking and tried to stick me in a gross unused room, I asked for my money back to go elsewhere and they said no. they found me a new spot hours later. They seemed annoyed when giving guests their deposit back - took me 30+ minutes to check out and get my key deposit back. The shower flooded the entire room. They mention they have had bed bug issues. The luggage storage is not secure. The streets outside are scary at night. Very Overpriced

I checked in and then immediately booked another hotel and left as soon as I saw the private room I had booked. The first bad sign was that they have stray cats roaming the hotel. The second bad sign was that upon check in they informed me that they have had bed bug issues in the past due to travelers arriving from the desert. When I first checked in the front desk gave me a key to a room that had construction going on in the bathroom. I walked in on two workers fixing the mirror. They then corrected this and brought me to another room. Upon arriving in my new room I noticed that the floor clearly had not been cleaned and was very dusty. The bathroom had several long hairs on the ground as well as other debris. I inspected the beds for bed bugs and although I did not find any bed bugs I did find a mouse dropping. This is probably why they have stray cats roaming around, to catch the mice. I told the front desk that I would like a refund as I do not feel comfortable staying in a room that has not been cleaned and that I am allergic to the roaming cats. The manager picked up the mouse poop and shoved it in my face and berated me and was incredibly unprofessional. I had been in the hotel for all of 2 hours and they refused a refund. I have stayed in many hotels and never felt compelled to leave a negative review or ask for a refund. One last point to mention is that the rooms are extremely noisy as the doors have 2 inches of space between the floor. I assume this is also how mice get in the rooms. The beds are also very uncomfortable. My recommendation is to stay away.

There is nowhere to hang out after midnight as everything is closed. Walls are paper thin and one member of my group came home with bed bug bites. STAY AWAY.

Stayed here for one night. The riad in itself is stunningly beautiful and nice drinks on rooftop bar but I would never stay here again. BIG NEGATIVE - massive bedbug infestation in room 101. Woke up with six in my bed. Horrible, I've never seen such big bedbugs, left me itching for days. We paid 60 euros for a double room which is the most we spend ever in Morrocco on accomodation. It's just such a shame because the place is beautiful but you couldn't pay me that much to stay in that room again. Having now read reviews it seems like something the hotel has experienced before. Our friends stayed in a room on second floor which was supposed to be double but actually two bunk beds put together - they didn't have the problem.

I would strongly recommend here if you want to see the bedbugs and see them with your eyes. I experienced a bedbug for the first time in my life. I used the room 205, and I awoke because I thought something was crawling around my face. I saw more than six bed bugs in my eyes and grabbed five. I informed the hostel staff, and the hostel man staff told me to change bed sheets or use another bed in the same room. What? I did not think this was a good solution, I moved the room and used it. And it would be nice to change the name of the hotel from the equity point hotel to the Bed Bug point hotel. I did not receive any apologize from the hotel. I have four glorious wounds in this hostel and I am going to head to the hospital.

Bed Bugs in room 105!! I stayed at Equity Point Marrakech from Dec.22-24th, 2016. Although the setting and atmosphere are wonderful, I unfortunately contracted bedbugs while staying in room 105. The staff seemed to take the news very casually when I informed them and the manager would not offer me a refund or credit for future stay. Only suggesting I switch rooms on the day of my scheduled departure was not helpful! Bedbugs are not a casual matter! I have been itchy and uncomfortable for many days afterwards (plus the gross factor of the experience). Sadly I cannot recommend Equity Point Marrakech for this reason and will find somewhere else to stay on future visits.

Fantastically beautiful hammam and hostel in the heart of Marrakech Medina. Lacks some features in the room (closets do not lock, plugs a little away from beds) but is clean and nice. Breakfast is okay, staff is friendly. It is VERY HARD to find, maybe ask them for a special map. People that go to the desert often come back with bed bugs. The hostel asks you after coming back from desert to inform them, so that they can help you clean. But some people go to the desert and they don't inform anybody. And yes, bed bugs is a general desert problem and it is not the fault of the hostel. Be prepared, buy diatomaceous earth powder.

Whilst staying at Hotel Equity Point Marrakech my friends and I experienced the worst night of our lives. The hostel is absolutely crawling with bed bugs and we were forced to move. We wanted a refund and the owner refused, shouting at us and telling us it was an 'Africa problem'. Please do not stay here. It needs to be shut down.
