I stayed in a room very much infected with bedbugs. When looking at the condition of the bed it was clear that the situation was like that for a long time ago because the bed frame had tons of dead eggs and black spots. My wife received multiple bites including her eyes and face. The general hygiene contditions of the place is not good. Floors are dirty, there is dust everywhere. Not a place which cares about the guests. I would like to ask for a refund since we were unable to sleep at all and the bedbug situation is probably going to cost us hundres of euros if this gets to our home

BED BUGS ALLERTTT! I killed at least 5 and got a bunch of bites from the bed bugs. And the WiFi doesn't reach my room.

We booked a 5-bed room for 2 nights in Florence and it was a nice experience. The price was reasonable, the late check-in available without additional pay. They provided fresh and clean linens. The room didn’t look dirty but you could see the hostel walls needed some paint. Perhaps bathroom floors would need some more sweeping. It’s a quiet place located near central market. All the amenities were nice and accommodating. No bed bugs, the rooms are heated. It’s a cheap hostel so don’t expect five star hotel. For a price, location and atmosphere I would recommend.

Bedbugs!!! I checked a few of the reviews before going in here, but none of the ones shown stated that there are bed bugs. Just after I found some in my bed and searched more thoroughly, I found out that some reviews state that... So if you are considering going now, I would not advise you to do that because I saw a few crawling on my bed during the night. I slept in room 16 at the end of the corridor. It is a shame cause the place would be otherwise nice considering the price, but it is not worth the problems with bed bugs, so please don't go!!!

Habían cosas de limpieza mejorable pero visualmente parecía pasable. Hasta que al despertar al día siguiente mi pareja tenía todo el cuerpo lleno de ronchas. Pensamos que podía haber sido alguna araña o mosquito pero en la siguiente noche encontramos chinches en la pared. Sufrió todo el viaje con el cuerpo lleno de ronchas y tomando medicación. Deberían vigilar que estas cosas no ocurran independientemente del tipo de clientela que reciban. La higiene es primordial para la salud.

On the first morning we were here, a random man snuck off the street and easily got into a bed in our room, the staff kicked him out later and nothing was stolen but the security here is pretty bad, doors are left open and unlocked and some room doors don’t lock at all. There is also not a lot of space in the storage lockers, and they are outside of the dorm rooms. The location was very good and the bathrooms varied on cleanliness. Didn’t experience any bed bugs that other reviews mention

The receptionist was kind and the hostel was located near the centre which was also very good. But everything Else was very disaspointing. The rooms and the baths were very dirty. At some times there was no warm water and the shower head was completely broken. There we're also no rooms to socialize or anything like that. But the worst part were the Bedbugs. And all of that fot a comparetively high price. So please do yourself a favour and don't book this Location.

The most basic hostel ever. Everything is outdated and could do with a refresh. No lockers in the rooms and beds very noisy and the bed linen was stained. We didn’t have any problems with bed bugs which was relieving as some prior reviews were a bit concerning. The location was great, walkable to all the main attractions. Definitely nicer hostels you could stay in but if you want something cheap and cheerful this is your place.

Can't really think of any other than the smell of cigarettes in the outdoor area just outside the kitchen but that's about it.

The last few reviews mentioned bed bugs, which is weird as there were no problems for me. Maybe the people that said that were dirty people that brought it themselves. I stayed 2 nights and would stay there again. The location was prime and the staff was nice

Two words: BED BUGS!!!! If you want to get eaten alive stay at this hostel. Reception guy kept lying to me telling me it's mosquitoes and that it's normal then when we finally discovered that it was actually bed bugs they changed our rooms only to find it's even worse in the other room. The whole hostel is infested and needs to be closed down. When I asked for a refund, the morning receptionist had the audacity to tell me 'since you know it's bed bugs why did you stay?' When they obviously lied to us all along because we're not familiar with this nasty pest. They only refunded us the remaining night that we didn't stay since we ran for our lives.

They have a bedbug infestation. Four nights at the hostel = more than 70 bedbug bites. Not recommended—unless you don’t mind being eaten alive by bedbugs.

Bed bugs that you get blamed for

Book it! Things to know. Its very central. Its a hostel so please don’t have unrealistic expectation. Its clean. I was scared about bed bug reviews but it was very very clean they clean twice a day. They have a kitchen. The bathrooms are shared so wake up early to use them or wait is common. Very chill and nice. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Although the bathroom door needs fixing up a little.

Nefasto. Si pudiera le daría 0 estrellas. Una experiencia horrible empezando por la limpieza de las habitaciones, están muy sucias y los colchones tienen insectos (chinches) que me han picado los brazos, las piernas y la cara y tengo pruebas (ahora he visto que hay reseñas de personas quejándose ya de eso). Además, en mi habitación había una gotera y caía agua, bajamos varias veces a decirlo a recepción y nunca había nadie. Los baños no tenían para secarse las manos, ni gel de baño ni gel de manos. Manivelas de las puertas rotas, consignas sin llaves, y el mocho y el cubo de la “limpieza” estaban sueltos por el pasillo con un aspecto de suciedad increíble. Y por último, tienen los colchones para las habitaciones todo apilados detrás de las consignas en medio del pasillo.

I stayed here in February and we found a bed bug crawling across the bed. My friend got bitten by one as well. When we asked for a refund because we didn’t want to stay in bed bug land anymore, the guy who showed up was very disrespectful and also insinuated that we brought the bed bug in. However, after looking through the reviews it is clear that this hostel has a bed bug problem. They only refunded us half the amount and he paid it in cash which is really sketchy. Overall would not recommend if you don’t want to have to deal with a bed bug infestation

El personal súper amable y lindo, en general mantienen limpio, sin embargo las camas tienen chinches y nos picaron, a parte de que hay demasiada gente y casi nulos espacios para dejar tus cosas bajo llave

*BED BUGS ALERT!* We stayed one night in this hostel in the end of December 2024. My husband got bitten by the bed bugs! Generally, we did not like the hostel - rooms look very ugly, scary dark corridors, very cold kitchen, no common zone. No personal light near the beds. Noisy metal lockers. Administrator speeks poorly Italian and English. Location is in the centre, but on the arabic-chinese street. Don't recommend.

HABÍA CHINCHES EN LA CAMA DE LA HABITACIÓN! Nos alojamos dos noches mi pareja y yo y en la segunda noche al tumbarnos en la cama para dormir, me empezaron a picar y conseguimos matar una en mitad de la cama. Contacté con Enzo que era el teléfono de emergencia y sin sorprenderse lo más mínimo, aviso a una persona que vino de fuera para cambiarnos de habitación. Evidentemente no pudimos volver a estar tranquilos y solo queríamos irnos y desinfectar nuestras mochilas. Tuvieron el detalle de devolverme el 50% de lo que había pagado. Pero desde luego no compensa el disgusto.

My flatmates and I were bitten by bed bugs there !! We saw the bugs in the room. I really don't recommend you to sleep there since they don't call an expert to clean the place.

The worst hostel that I've stayed in the europe. Bed bugs and untidy room, blankets. They can definitely make it better by investing some money

Avoid like the plague. Location is great but that’s it. Dirty dark unkempt run down and most of all I THINK I GOT BED BUGS!!! Now I have to wash everything and if they are still with me I have to throw my clothes out. Terrible experience.

No lo recomiendo ay chinches o algo que te pica en las camas y el dueño tiene un restaurante llamado Guelfa trattoria en la misma calle del Hostel y se molesto cuando le pedí que si podía entrar a comer yo acababa de llegar cansado y quería comer algo traía mi mochila y me vio feo me hizo esperar y después me dejo entrar de muy mala manera y eso no es todo cuando le pedí la cuenta ME QUERÍA COBRAR 18 euros de más y le tuve que reclamar. No lo recomiendo el lugar la verdad

Nice hostel, enough space but it didn't always feel clean. The bathrooms were alright but not perfectly clean, found some gross stuff in the toilets.. rooms were alright but there was some talk about bed bugs.. kitchen was alright but not fully equiped, just a microwave, no oven or gas... and no free tea or coffee which felt like a scam. Nice outdoor terrace though and very friendly people.

I wish I could add photos because I got a real good one of a couple bed bugs, accompanied with the 30 bites I’m dealing with rn!

There were bed bugs in the hostel which caused a horrible experience for me and my travel companion. We saw bugs crawling around on our bed and our suitcases, then some bites appeared on our bodies. We were travelling internationally the next day and this whole debacle made for a terrible flight. Upon returning home, I had to throw away some clothes and dry clean all the others. I am seeking financial compensation from the hostel but the owner has been unresponsive.

I've been to a lot of hostels, but I've never been to such a crummy place. It's not a cosy hostel with a good vibe, it feels more like a run-down hotel. Our bedsheets were stained, and there were streaks on the wall. Ultimately it felt really unwelcoming and not particularly safe. There were also recent reviews about bedbugs in the hostel and my girlfriend has an insect bite mark now. I would recommend to anyone reading this review to stay somewhere else, even if it's a bit more expensive.

*** BED BUGS ALERT *** Hi I booked this hostel for 8 nights but I had to leave after 7 nights because of bed bugs.

Bed bugs. The place was fine, I am just writing this review as a heads up to future travellers; I got bed bugs from here, specifically first room on the right up the first flight of stairs, top bunk next to the window. The guy working was very apologetic.

Bedbugs is filling this place. While it looked clean. It wasnt clean. I still have marks of bedbugs on my arms and legs. I paid so much for this place to have bedbugs

BED BUGS. Staff have been friendly and helpful however have been promised a refund due to bed bugs and have yet to see the money come through :(

My favourite thing was the location! It was absolutely excellent as it was right next to the central market of Firenze, very central! The staff I encountered were friendly. Unfortunately I did not feel safe at all - doors were constantly left open and unlocked by staff, 2 bathrooms for a whole floor of people which was not even close to being enough. A few people would constantly knock and try and open bathroom doors because there weren’t many available, which was uncomfortable. I also have mosquito and bed bug bites which is a huge shame. Another main issue was most definitely the wifi! The connection was very bad, even when moving throughout the hostel which made the stay incredibly frustrating. There were no lockers inside the room and a wash is 10 euros which is very expensive compared to other hostels I have stayed in. I was also charged a very large amount compared to other hostels (sadly unavailable) for a weekend stay. Overall, for the price, in my opinion I would not recommend it, unless you have truly have nowhere to go and it’s just for the night. I’m quite disappointed in my experience here unfortunately.

The staff were very nice and helpful. However the beds were not very comfortable and seemed quite dirty. My buddy and I were both covered in bed bug bites after staying here.

Terrible!!! 1. The faculties are incredibly dirty. 2. No AC so the windows stay open allowing bugs in. 3. They say they have an age limit but we were in a mixed 5 (only option left) and we had 2 men that were at LEAST 60 years old staying in our room for multiple nights. 4. No lockers for your belongings. 5. We woke up every day with more bites on us - BED BUG bites!!! The lady at front desk was nice but no help. We paid WAY too much for this place ($440 -2 people 3 nights) AVOID at ALL COSTS!
