   The place was all crowded and it was definitely more expensive than it was worth. My towel got stolen and no one was made responsible. My friend got assigned the same bed as someone else and it was all a mess. Plus the room smelt a little weird.

   The only time we ever left our bags was with the receptionist to go and get cash. One of our laptops is missing… shit beds too and just a generally dodgy vibe. AVOID!

   If you like bed bugs and random homeless people coming into your room, then this is the place for you. They don’t have any kind of lock on rooms, so anyone can enter effortlessly, and on top of that, there are no lockers, there are but for a charge, which just adds more cost to the already worst experience. There’s no heating in the washrooms, as well as there’s no proper working shower (for the room to which I was assigned). The maintenance of the property is on thin ice.

   This is a very basic hostel, where you pay for what you get, which isn’t much. There are no security measures so anyone off the street can walk into the hostel and rooms. The shared toilets have no locks and all the amenities are shared. I don’t recommend this place but I didn’t have a terrible experience, it was very meh, I won’t be going back.

   WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! the receptionist is horrible!! He was very rude to me and my friends and even tried to steal 40 euros from us by claiming we didnt pay! not true we paid !!! And in the morning , the luggage room was kept closed and the receptionist guy was no where to be found!!! Our bus was soon and we needed to get our bags and deposit back. This happened to multiple people. We had no choice but to call THE POLICE!! And during the night , A RANDOM PERSON CAME INTO OUR ROOM WHILE HALF OF US WHERE ASLEEP. Creep. Overall horrible and I recommend you avoid this hostel AT ALL COST!!

   Story of a theft happened in Hostel Fontána: Two of my friends stayed in this hostel in the middle of July, 2024. They stayed in a room with other 6 or 8 people. 2000 euros got stolen from one of them. I'm not kidding - it was literally 2000 euros. He and my other friend reported the incident to one of the staff at the reception, but guy, who was currently at the reception, was unhelpful with them. I witnessed him yelling at my friends, keeping saying that he was busy and he had to work instead of helping them search for his money and check the cameras of the hostel. He treated my friends as if they were a piece of junk, not as if they were his customers who paid for staying in his hostel for four days. My friends and I reported the theft to the local police and they were super helpful with us. We went back to the hostel to investigate the case further. The same receptionist had changed his attitude all of a sudden he had become sort of cooperative with us. Unfortunately, the money had not been found. It crossed my mind to book a bunk bed at this hostel before visiting Prague. I'm glad I did not and booked a room in Hostel Dakura instead. Careful with this hostel folks!

    The biggest problem is the people who live in this Hostel for a long term . They act as the doorm is their private room.  I was in the dormitory in number 09. An old German man lives there, bed 1.  During the cold night he didn't let us close a bit the windows and there is 4 beds next to the window.  We were frozen that night and that old man still wants to fight with us after he creates a draft by not closing the main door of the dormitory.  Managment  of this Hostel let them to do what they want they dont  care about guest who are real tourists there.

    This hotel has only one good thing, friendly staff. I think you shouldn't call this an hotel, you should call it a shared apartment. Firstly the hotel is inside an apartment and it's door is open all day long (it's only locked at night). The rooms HAVE NO KEYS NOR CARDS AND ARE ALWAYS UNLOCKED which means ANYONE can enter them and steal your stuff. They offer lockers but they are very small and probably won't be big enough to fit your bags so don't expect to have them in a safe place. This means

    I have been to almost 18 countries, and this is the worst hostel I have seen and experienced, I lost my 2100 Euros, There is no security day or night, anyone can enter. The lockers are not even safe, it can be opened with a screw driver. The hostel staff was involved in this theft. I logged police complaint as well for this, The police was telling me the same that this hostel has a very bad reputation in the area. Please guys be careful before booking any hostel. I also request you to report.

    We stayed here for two nights with my friend. the only good things were that the host was really kind and our room and bedsheets were kinda clean. First of all, we were charged double (normal price) because we changed the dates for our stay. 1) So the price was double and not worth it at all. If you’re a woman you shouldn’t stay at this hostel, it’s a matter of hygiene and safety. We didn’t want luxuries of course. 2) There are only 4 showers where there’s no room to leave your stuff, also let’s say you want to throw your pad, you have to use the ONLY ONE bathroom that you can throw your pad inside the trash. 3) Even if the cleaner comes and cleans at 8 am, during the day both of the two bathrooms are dirty and smell like pee. Also the most normal toilet is build in a stair and it’s extra uncomfortable, not user friendly at all. 4) There’s no private key for the rooms so anyone can get inside the room even if they’re not staying in there. 5) No curtains in the bunk beds. (the rooms are of course mixed) 6) You have to pay for everything, even for the key for the main building in case you want to use it after 00:00 am. 7) We were about to lose the bus because we were waiting for the host to come and leave him the key and give us the money for the key we rented back. He never showed at 8am so we left. The location is good but you have to use transportation in order to go to the centre. I’m suggesting to lower the price, lock the main door and giving a key for free to anyone without charging and try to maintain the place clean during the whole day. I’ve stayed in many hostels for lower price and the basics were at least there.

    Oh boy... This place is the absolute bare basics. You get a bed and that's it. The rooms have no lock and the main entrance is unlocked during the day, so theoretically anyone walking by can just come into your room and take your stuff. The entire place is smelly and dirty, the rooms, beds, even the guests... Beds are noisy and uncomfortable. Windows have no curtains and there's a bar directly below the hostel, so have fun trying to sleep at night. Bathrooms smell like piss and half the time hot water doesn't work. You'll be lucky if there's soap. The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars is because it's cheap and is in a good location. But for future travelers: If you have ANY dignity, go elsewhere. Only go here if the alternative is sleeping on the street and you can't afford anything better.
