Hostal Barrio Vivo

Just finished my 8 day stay at Barrio Vivo whilst studying at the local Spanish school. I had an amazing time here with a relaxed and safe place to socialise and study my Spanish. I especially enjoyed the common area. I know during my stay there was a small problem with bed bugs, the staff and volunteers were extremely professional and proactive in resolving the problem. The rooms were deep cleaned with a professional company multiple times during my stay and they communicated to all guests very clearly about this and personally I never once saw any bugs. Overall I would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Merida!
