La Sienna

This was the worst stay I have EVER had. We got kicked out for wearing shoes inside, we got abused over the phone, and in person. The lady banged on our door very late in the night demanding us to pay more money. My partner was falsely accused for leaving sanitary items in the rubbish bin in the bathroom, with no evidence.The lady watches everything you do on the camera. After we got kicked out, she send us more abusive messaged via text. She was extremely disrespectful. Never stay here.

We stayed for two nights and were told to leave prior to the third at 11 pm. She compensated us 1/2 the price of one night and tried to haggle. She accused us of stealing her window shade and entered our locked room while we were away without due cause. She was paranoid and angry that we brought a carpet that we purchased to our room and we hung an American flag from the ceiling (which we did not know was a code violation). Terrible stay. Not a "bed and breakfast." Cash only for unclear reasons.

everything was bad, the neighborhood, the welcome and the vibe in the guesthouse. I felt childish. you have to take your shoes off downstairs, don't talk too loudly in the rooms, etc. If you want to have a good stay in New York, don't go there. we are too far from the center, there are too many homeless people and the neighborhood is not safe. There are people who got kicked out of the hostel because they didn't take their shoes off, I've never seen that. Put $30 more if you want to have good va...

No working shower on our floor, (just needed plumbers tape and a new head) she said would be fixed in the morning. Still was broken when we checked out 3 days later. Had to wait 25 minutes on the stoop after traveling all day to be let in the building because she took her dog on a walk. Our room was so hot at night I woke up at 1am sweating, and we had asked for the fan remote before we went to bed, there were ac units in the closet she could have set up for us. Wouldn’t recommend...

Overall, my stay went well and Yvette was very lovely to me, especially when I had forgotten my cell phone in the Uber, she was very quick to help me take matters into her own hands with their service so I could get it back. Unfortunately, cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.Throughout my stay, my room was never cleaned except on the day I arrived.My room reeked of burning; it was horrible to sleep with that smell and to smell it every time I went back in the room.

Camera spaziosa e pulita, letto confortevole. Pulizia della camera buona. Bagni in condivisione non sempre molto puliti (capelli nel lavandino, capelli nella doccia). La propietaria chiede di pulire (con spugnetta e alcool) dopo l'ultilizzo del bagno, ma evidentemente o questa é l'unica pulizia fatta al bagno oppure alcuni ospiti non lo puliscono. Zona comoda per sportarsi (5 min a piedi dalla linea A espressa). Locali per la colazione buoni a 5 minuti.

Nous avons fortement apprécié l'emplacement de la Sienna et la gentillesse de Rosa. Elle accepte volontiers que l'on laisse les valises plus tôt et qu'on les reprenne plus tard le jour du départ ce qui est très appréciable. Cependant point très négatif pour nous, la propreté de la salle de bain, il était précisé, nettoyage plusieurs fois par jours. Nous sommes resté 5jours et AUCUN nettoyage n'a été fait (déjà très sale à l'arrivée). WC et cuisine OK car à la responsabilit�...

Cleaning was not good. Near subway station, very handy. The room had stove, microwave, coffee, oil, plates, cups, etc. What was good specially when you want save some money having a breakfast or dinner in, for example.

Awesome traditional Harlem row home with small rooms. The host is excellent, kind, and funny! Great value and easy access to the city. Highly recommend!

Forgot to tell host about my huge bike, but she was very accommodating. Gave great food and transit recs for the area and was overall super welcoming.

Thanks to Yvette, who’s a wonderful host, we discovered many of Harlem’s gems. We love everything here… never gonna stay in Brooklyn ever again ahah

I had a great experience. The property was located close to public transportation, A, C,, 2,3 Subways and Metro North. Easy access to shopping. Well maintained block. I recommend placement of a night light near the access pad. Numbers are hard to see at night. I look forward to my next stay.

Such a lovely homebase for exploring Manhattan! Close to numerous subway lines and great restaurants. Very clean, very quiet. Would happily stay here again next time I'm in NYC.

I’m very happy with my stay at La Sienna. I was warmly welcomed by Ivette, who was attentive throughout my entire stay. She helped me with recommendations for places to eat and visit, and she was always available whenever I needed anything. The place is very cozy and located in Harlem. The neighborhood feels safe and is just a few blocks from the subway, which makes it easy to get around the city quickly. There are supermarkets two blocks away, including Trader Joe’s, as well as food shop...

absolut no regrets to spend some time in harlem at la sienna. neighborhood is safe and cute and convenient, bed really comfy, everything is so clean and neat. we had coffee and tea every day in the kitchen for free, which is a great bonus.

The place is very clean and quiet, which helps a lot to relax from the city buzz. The host Yvette is really nice and welcoming, helping out with recommendations and all other topics If needed. The shower on the first floor is spacious and fits tall people and the kitchen does have a big fridge with compartments for all the rooms and theres enough cutlery and plates to prepare some food if needed (you can not cook though). Coffee and tea included.

Great find easy access to the city…even walkable through Central Park. Harlem location has all you need shops food rest takeaways. Pleasant area. Would 100% return

I very much enjoyed my stay at La Sienna. Nothing was too much trouble for Yvette. I would definitely stay here again if I were ever to find myself in New York.

Excelente lugar para quedarse, muy central Yvette fue muy amable, estuvo pendiente de cualquier cosa, se siente como quedarse en casa, un sitio tranquilo para descansar de un largo dia en New york de caminatas o diferentes actividades, a 5 min caminando de la estacion del metro, con muchas tiendas y avenidas principales cerca, comercio y demas, en definitiva es un super recomendado.
