Sunset Surf Hostel

Ik snap de andere goede recensies niet zo, ik vond het echt een heel karig hostel. Niet eens een lampje of plankje in je bed, erg dun bijna plastic gordijn, maar wat het voor mij echt verpestte waren de sanitaire voorzieningen. Ik kon het bijna niet geloven dat dat oprecht de douches en wasbak was. Wasbak in enkelvoud, er stond 1 wasbak, zonder zeep, zonder spiegel in een natte vloer omdat de douches ernaast zijn en het water overal komt. De douches zelf hebben enkel koud water, nergens een plan...

No one respect the times of quietness after 10pm with music super loud we have to wake up early in the morning and no one from the staff stop the music or anything! Apart from that is real good!

Guy working at the hostel embarrassed me at checkin just because I hadn’t booked online (they didn’t ask when I arrived) and he told me I just ‘walked off’ when the staff member specifically told me to come back at 2pm. I was deciding whether to pay online with card or just do cash and he was pressuring me making me feel like some kind of criminal. Decent hostel, clean beds, more chill vibes. No social events like some other hostels. Needs a bigger kitchen and an extra burner stove for the amount of people using the kitchen.

Le côté rencontre etc est super (de nombreuses activités proposées) mais vous ferez l’impasse sur le confort, les douches sont froides, un peu rudimentaires. Le matériel un peu oldschool (les lockers par exemple). La vibe est plus roots.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix avec un emplacement top. Hostel très social en partie grâce à Larry qui permet de nous sentir tout de suite à l'aise et intégré. Mention spéciale aux family dinners, cuisinés avec soin 😊

Pros: - Mr kim the owner is super nice, often cooks dinner for the people in the hostel. - the atmosphere is great, big common area with bean bags and tables for socializing. - structure looks very sturdy and durable, the place I would want to be in an event a typhoon - no better price for a hostel in the cloud 9 area. if you're coming to stay for a while, consider this place. cons: - showers only have cold water - wifi isn't good, barely works in the rooms, and stil quite slow in the common...

Please have CCTV in your area. Add curtain in the window to avoid outsiders seeing what's inside the room. The staff is ok and the share kitchen and the room is just right and enough to make friends. But please tighten on security. You know what I mean.

Good value for the price you pay. They opened recently and are still working on building and improving the hostel. The only thing missing were trashcans & mirrors in the bathrooms and bedrooms. Kitchen is a big plus and beds were comfy :)

Loved the atmosphere and ambience of the place. I appreciate the lockers and facilities available. The dorm room has a lot of space for circulation and storage. Overall a good experience.

Legendary hostel, vibes were incredible, I met the most amazing people and after a couple days it felt like a family, lots of people staying for a few weeks which made it great to really get to know people

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in after travelling a number of times, very chill but you can still go party if you want, after a couple days it felt like a family.

I had zero regrets staying at this place. The vibes are chill, the staff is kind and friendly, and the place is clean, with the common area frequently maintained, as well as the bathroom. There were organized activities at the hostel, and it didn’t feel like they were forced. You can have your solo time and socialize. Shoutout to one of the volunteers, Precious—she made things possible and fun.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed at!!! Mr Lee is a legend, and so are all the lovely staff that work there. The volunteers are amazing too and make it feel like home! Perfect location and can cook there which makes it so much better! We accidentally stayed for 2 months here and already want to go back!!🥹🙏

Its an amazing place and super friendly people and stuff I did my surfing classes there and i was really happy i found them Everyone is there so so nice and lovely The food at the restaurant is yummy highly recommend Can’t wait to come back and visit again

Je recommande vivement cette auberge. Les chambres sont propres et calmes, les lits confortables, les parties communes sont idéales pour rencontrer d'autres voyageurs. Le personnel et les volontaires sont également très gentils (petite pensée pour Precious 🫶🏻). Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Had an awesome time staying at Sunset Hostel in Siargao. The staff were incredibly welcoming and genuinely thoughtful the entire time—made it feel less like a stay and more like a little community. Special shoutout to Precious for the generosity and nonstop good vibes 🙌 Would 100% recommend staying here whether you’re surfing, exploring the island, or just looking to hang out with great people. Solid experience all around.
