This hostel was completely unprofessional. The room is covered in mold and grime. The bathroom was horrendous with random used products. Products provided (soap, towel, etc.) were all literally ripped in half. The bedding was ripped, stank and had multiple stains. Furniture was broken and all the light fixtures had hats on them to cover broken or burnt out bulbs. No heating and the room was insanely cold. We have stayed several hostels and paid significantly less and never been so disappointed.
The gentleman was nice and checked us in politely and showed us good spots around Rome on a map. There are lots of reviews here saying people didn't get emails about arrival time and we were the same. Even so we got to check in which was great. But the place was very unclean, shower was broken and cold. Their was mould everywhere in the bathroom and dirt caked at the bottom of the bathtub. On our last night all the power and electricity turned off so we didn't even have a fan, lights or way to c...
I’d skip this. It was so stuffy and bare
Advertised breakfast was not provided. No air conditioning, room was next to common bathroom and insanely hot and humid. First thing we saw when we opened the drawer with exactly one set of cutlery for all rooms in it, was a roach crawling. Avoid, even at low rates!
L'esperienza nella struttura è stata molto deludente. Le foto viste sul sito non rispecchiano la situazione attuale dell'alloggio. La cosa peggiore è stata il bagno! Lavandino con il rubinetto divelto dalla base e tenuto nell'alloggio con il silicone; bisognava tenerlo con due mani per aprirlo ed evitare di staccarlo del tutto. The experience in the structure was very disappointing. The photo seen on the site does not reflect the current situation of the accommodation. The worst thing was the bathroom! I wash with the tap detached from the base and held in the accommodation with silicone; it had to be held with two hands to open it and avoid unplugging it completely. The soffione della doccia, besides not being able to secure it well in the appropriate hook and regulate it, was not even standing still.
La ubicación está muy bien! Necesita mejorar en la limpieza URGENTE! En la ducha había una bola de pelos gigante asquerosa. Dejar una barra de jabón casi acabada en una jabonera llena de polvo y agua acumulada es demasiado. Cabe aclarar que el baño no lo compartía, deberían haberlo limpiado antes ya que pague más por no compartir con desconocidos. Un día entraron a la habitación, colgaron las toallas en otro lado, doblaron una manta pero no fue limpieza. Raro. El wifi no funciona.
The location is very good! needs to improve in cleaning URGENTLY! in the shower there was a gross giant hairball. leaving a bar of almost finished soap in a soapbox full of dust and accumulated water is too much. it should be clarified that the bathroom is not shared, they should have cleaned it before I paid more for not sharing with strangers. one day they came into the room, hung the towels on another side, folded a blanket but it was not cleaning. weird. the wifi doesn't work.
Wenn man wirklich nur über Nacht im Zimmer ist, ist es vollkommen ausreichend. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend sauber. Allerdings sind die Badezimmer nicht mehr so modern und könnten gerne renoviert werden. Der Gemeinschaftsflur wirkt eher wie in einer Lagerhalle. Eine richtige Küche wäre nice
If you are really only staying in the room for the night, it is perfectly sufficient. The room is clean enough. However, the bathrooms are not so modern anymore and could be renovated. The communal floor looks more like a warehouse. A proper kitchen would be nice
Das Personal war nett, allerdings war die Einrichtung zu mangelhaft. Es gab keinen funktionsfähigen Kühlschrank, keinen Föhn, kein vernünftiges Geschirr und Besteck!, keine Mikrowelle, keinen Wasserkocher und der Toaster hat bei Benutzung gestunken. Die Küche konnte also nicht benutzt werden. Unser Fliegengitter war auch kaputt. Dafür 50€ pro Person sind echt eine Frechheit.
The staff was nice, but the furnishings were too poor. there was no functional fridge, no Föhn, no decent dishes and cutlery!, no microwave, no kettle and the toaster stank when used. the kitchen could not be used either. our fliegengitter was also broken. for 50€ per person are echt eine Frechheit.
From the time of check in we didn’t feel completely comfortable as young female travellers. The host was friendly and gave recommendations. However he assured us our luggage would be cared for after our early arrival. When we came back to our room, our bags were left unattended in the unlocked apartment. Be aware this is more of a shared appartement situation than a proper hostel. The bathroom was full of black mold and it was seemingly dirty everywhere else.
I want to give this place a 5 star review so bad just because the staff and his pet turtle Tito were so cute and lovely, but unfortunately there were a few things that let down our stay. WI-FI connection was terrible and only worked near the window of our room, as I was still working this made it hard for me to get work done on my laptop. Foi uma ótima estadia em Roma! Muito próxima da Basílica de São João de Latrão e Coliseu. Perto da estação de metro Manzoni (270m), para ir ao centro histórico e Vaticano. David e Valentina foram muito atenciosos e dispostos a nos ajudar. O quarto que reservamos era privado com banheiro compartilhado, o banheiro era na porta ao lado e estava sempre limpo. It was a great stay in Rome! Very close to the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and the Colosseum. Close to the metro station Manzoni (270m), to go to the historic center and the Vatican. David and Valentina were very attentive and willing to help us. The room we booked was private with shared bathroom, or the bathroom was next door and was always clean. Thank you David, a warm hug! Ostello semplice ma molto curato. Pulito, tranquillo e in un’ottima posizione. Il personale è davvero gentile e disponibile,è molto importante contattare la struttura ( meglio telefonicamente ) per prendere accordi riguardo al check in . Ottima esperienza, lo consiglio!
Simple but very neat hostel. Clean, quiet and in a great location. The staff is really kind and helpful, it is very important to contact the property (preferably by phone) to make arrangements regarding check in. Great experience, I recommend it!
Amazing! The host was super kind and helped me with everything! He made me feel super welcome in Rome and in the guest house! Highly recommend, also if you are traveling alone, I felt super safe! Thank you for everything, even though my stay was only short, I enjoyed it to the maximum! :)
Although there were a few odd parts about my stay here, overall it was good. The location is incredible, and you really can't beat it for the price. My initial interactions with the staff were great, however later that day I had an odd interaction with one of the staff who was just being far too intrusive.

I’m blessed that we had a chance to stop at Residenza Lateran’s while on a trip to Rome. David, the check-in master, is amazing and helpful person. Very heartwarming experience. We had nothing to complain regarding general maintenance of the room.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There was a fan so the heat was no problem. Quite spacious too. It is not the most comfortable or well kept place but for the price you pay it’s exactly what you expect. Location is great too. I would recommend.

Points forts : idéalement situé, Davide était très sympathique, bon rapport qualité-prix Points faibles : la qualité du logement (peinture/éclairage/salle de bains) n’était pas au top. Néanmoins, considérant le prix et l’emplacement, totalement à recommander si vous souhaitez un endroit où dormir pour pas cher!
Strengths: Ideally located, Davide was very friendly, good value for money Points weak: the quality of the accommodation (painting/lighting/bathroom) was not at the top. Nevertheless, considering the price and location, totally to recommend if you want a place to sleep for cheap!
Nice stay for the price we paid, David was extremely nice and helpful and gave us recommendations for where to go. Room was very basic and the facilities had seen better days. But in general it was a nice room and it suited our needs, would recommend.

Quiet and the bathroom was only shared with one other room so I didn’t have to wait. The room I was in does NOT have wifi- you have to go sit in a plastic chair in the hallway to access the wifi. I had private calls and work I wanted to complete but couldn’t without a desk and wifi. The gates into the place are often left open during the day, which didn’t feel very secure. There were always pools of water on the bathroom floor which seemed to be leaking from behind the toilet.
Una excelente opción, muy bien ubicado para llegar caminando a casi cualquier parte, y también cerca de paradas de bus y la estación del metro, 100% recomendado David fue super amable!!
