Hotel Aglon

+ The hotel location is very good The rooms are spacious.

- • Every morning the housekeeping staff knocked loudly and even opened my door while I was sleeping, despite having the “Do Not Disturb” sign on. When I complained to the receptionist, she reacted rudely and gave unreasonable excuses, saying they only have two cleaners and must clean the rooms, although I never requested room cleaning. I was on vacation and wanted to rest. • Not enough staff at the beach; even a simple order took one hour or more. • Ice is charged. • At the beach, they only provide one towel. If it gets dirty or you need another, they refuse. • The bathroom had a very bad smell at night. • The staff are unprofessional and lack proper hospitality experience. • At checkout, I paid for my extra charges but they did not provide me with a receipt to verify.

+ In general staff was very friendly and polite. Room is spacious and great view, private beach is also a big plus.

- Everything started from the time when we booked a hotel through booking , where is was saying that this hotel has a FreeAirport shuttle (see screenshot), so we have started to chat with staff on booking in order to book it, they have asked for our flight details and told us that they have booked it. And then just 1 day before our arrival we have decided to write them again just to confirm that everything is okay with our transfer. AND THEN suddenly their response is that it will cost 120 EURO and asking us "should we book it" ? We were shocked, since they have confirmed it a month ago and the most important thing is that THEY HAVE NEVER mentioned that it will cost something which is the one of the most important aspects. Then after this situation happened , I've called the booking support which was not very helpful and then after booking staff called the hotel they have changed the Airport Shuttle from Free to paid. So it really sucks and feels like you've been scammed. All of the proofs are on screenshots. Guys on the reception not always wants to change your beach towels, they are asking you wether you are finished with the beach today (we were usually going to our room in the afternoon to have some rest and around 4-5pm going back to the beach), if you are telling that you are not finished yet with the beach today they are not willing to change it , even if they are wet and there is place in the room to dry them , so you have to argue and ask a couple of times to do that, again , for 1450 EURO hotel this is not okay. Also it says on booking that they have a Bathrobes in the rooms, however they do not. Breakfast which was included in the price in general was okay, however the food seems not to be very fresh, sometimes it was stinky , and smells like a soap , and there is not napkins on breakfast AT ALL.

+ Struttura moderna e in ottima posizione. Staff cordiale e sempre disponibile. Le camere sono nuove e le suite hanno una vista spettacolare del lungomare. La spa gode di una vista sul lungomare dove è possibile rilassarsi e godersi la vista. Consiglio di cenare al ristorante che ha un rapporto qualità prezzo eccezionale.

- Ho prenotato la suite migliore della struttura con jacuzzi panoramica sul lungomare. Purtroppo all’interno c’era una cicala che ha reso la stanza invivibile e non è stato possibile rimuoverla in quanto era nascosta dietro il letto. La struttura mi ha cambiato stanza senza i comfort della suite da me prenotata e alla mia richiesta di rimborso della differenza di prezzo non sono riusciti a rimborsarmi.

+ Väga ilus ja suur tuba. Hea hommikusöök, mis valmistati sinu soovitud menüü järgi.

- Rõdu oli väga väike, n-ö aiavaade oli maja küljel olev asfalt. Kuna check-out oli kell 6.30 hommikul, palusin hommikusööki karbiga kaasa. Lubati. Hommikul seda polnud. Kuna olime sõpradega erinevates hotellides samas piirkonnas, siis käisime õhtuti üksteisel külas. Antud hotelli sõpradega sisenedes ei tahetud meid tuppa lasta. Ütlesime, et läheme ca tunniks. 10 min pärast tuli administraator toa uksele koputama ja taas selgitas, et me ei tohi seal juttu ajada ( olime vaikselt).

+ Very spacious triple room: New high-end modern furniture. Large beds. Big bathroom and shower. Super clean. Lots of storage space. Nice big TV. Safe in the room. Great location: Nice views of the sea from the hotel and spa- directly on the lungomare. Free access to sun beds on the beach. Nice spa- 1 hr free access to sauna, jacuzzi and steam room

- Free parking: You can't park right infront of the hotel entrance as it's a pedestrian area; we had to go around the back and call the hotel for instructions. They sent the valet parking while we waited at the corner market shop. It was fine but inconvenient and stressful as we were being pestered by the cars behind and had alot of luggage to offload without help. Entrance: it's smelly- smells of drains/ stagnant water. However, the smell disappears when you enter the building. They hose it down sometimes but leave the hose lying on the floor. There was a puddle which I stepped into on my way out for dinner. At check-in, it was re-iterated multiple times that the checkout is at 11 am and we signed a print out of the rules, which felt odd and unwelcoming. Room: No bathrobes provided. Bath towels were really small. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Beach: the private beach area wasn't well kept with lots of cigarette buds and beer bottle caps scattered in the sand next to the sunbeds. There was a QR code available to scan for the beach drinks service. I put in an order, but it never came. There were no hotel staff in sight, so we had to go back to the hotel across the street to put in the order and get our drinks ourselves. Most beaches in Albania offer a smooth food and drinks service, so it's not what you expect. Breakfast buffet: The breakfast outdoor patio area had water leaking onto it from upstairs. Finished items weren't replenished. We went down to breakfast 30 min before the service ended on the 1st day, they were out of bread, eggs, water and other items. They were happy to provide them when we asked. You can only order 1 coffee per person at the bar. We were told unapologetically that you need to pay for the 2nd espresso. Spa: it was nice and had a great view, but the water in the jacuzzi wasn't hot and smelled a bit stagnant. We opted to use the sauna and steam room instead.

+ The hotel room itself was great, the restaurant was very nice and the breakfast was large. We had a positive experience and the room was huge with plenty of space for 3 of us. The massages were great and they made an accommodation to stay late for us.

- The most disappointing part is that we picked this hotel with the spa being our focal point of the stay. And when we went to use it after a chilly boat ride, nothing worked. Nothing was turned on, the hot tub was a chilly 26 degrees and when we went to tell management, they then started to turn on the sauna, but we had to wait 30 mins before it was warm and we were so cold because the heat wasn’t on in the spa. And we planned to jump right in the hot tub and it was broken. It was very hard to find a place with a jacuzzi and sauna to begin with and if this had been satisfactory, I would sing the praises of this hotel. But for the price we paid, definitely was not worth it. Super disappointing.

+ Excellent breakfast, like made at home. Super clean hotel, super view of the seaside and very helpful staff. I exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended if you can afford the price.

- I had to stay at a room, that you access through some inner stairs, and it is not comfortable when you are with babies and baby wheel chair.

- Recepcjonista próbował nas oszukać podczas opłacania rezerwacji. Chciał policzyć dwukrotność ceny. W Spa przydałby się zimny prysznic obok sauny.

+ Posizione e staff ottimo 😀

+ Locatie, netheid en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt zeer gevarieerd en zeer mooie kamers die dagelijks zeer goed worden verzorgd door de kamermeisjes.

+ Upgrade auf Zimmer mit Balkon, sehr groß und komfortabel, absolut sauber, selbst die Anziehsachen wurden fein säuberlich zusammen gelegt .Gern wieder

+ Sehr freundliches Personal Gutes Frühstück und Restaurant für Abendessen. Gute Lage mit Privatstrand Zu beachten (keine negative Rezession): Parkplatz vorhanden, jedoch nicht eigenständig zugänglich. Auto an der Ecke (beim Market) parken und melde. Hotel parkt anschliessend selbst.
