+ Très bon accueil,Structure bien placée facile d'accès en plein centre de la Medina. Très pratique pour se restaurer et se balader. Dommage pour le manque d', hygiène .
- Structure très sale. Manque d'hygiène flagrante au niveau de la cuisine et la chambre. Le parterre est sale . Manque d'équipements pour la douche. Le robinet n'est pas du tout pratique.

- Il Girafe Hostel di Essaouira è quanto di peggio ci si possa aspettare da una struttura ricettiva, ed è una vergogna assoluta che sia ancora presente su Booking. All’arrivo ci siamo trovati di fronte a una realtà totalmente diversa da quella descritta online: Il “bagno privato” era semplicemente un tubo con un manico, senza alcuna vera doccia o possibilità di lavarsi in modo dignitoso. Il “terrazzo vista mare” era inagibile e affacciato su una discarica a cielo aperto. L’ambiente era sporco e fatiscente, con biancheria intima stesa ovunque, penzolante dalle ringhiere, in un clima di abbandono totale. Durante la colazione, ci siamo ritrovati in una scena surreale e imbarazzante: persone che dormivano letteralmente nella sala colazione, svegliate dalla cameriera per farci spazio. Uno spettacolo indecente, da terzo mondo. Il colpo di grazia è arrivato con il servizio di trasferimento aeroporto: nessuno si è presentato, nonostante le nostre ripetute richieste. Zero risposte, zero assistenza. Siamo stati completamente ignorati, costretti a noleggiare un’auto in extremis con spese impreviste e grande stress. La situazione era talmente disastrosa che siamo scappati via la mattina dopo, prenotando subito un altro hotel (sempre tramite Booking) a nostre spese. Tutto ciò ha significato disagio, delusione e danni economici, rovinando completamente l’inizio della nostra vacanza. Booking dovrebbe rimuovere immediatamente questo ostello dalla piattaforma: chi ospita deve garantire almeno il minimo di igiene, sicurezza e onestà. Il Girafe Hostel non offre nulla di tutto questo. Solo disservizi, degrado e umiliazione. Evitatelo a ogni costo. È un insulto per chi viaggia con fiducia.

- Tout surtout les sanitaires et le petit déjeuner qui est tout simplement une arnaque. A fuir !!!!Lieu très bruyant, personnel ne parlant qu'anglais. Sanitaires plus que moyens. Douches dans les toilettes glissantes. Sanitaires sans miroir et très petit sans endroit où mettre ses affaires. Petit déjeuner à fuir pas de fruits, pas de beurre, pas de chocolat chaud, pas de lait. En fait petit déjeuner qui n'en est pas un. Nous avons payé pour au final ne rien consommer. De plus, le lieu où l'on mange est très petit, nous sommes les uns sur les autres. Je ne recommande vraiment pas ce lieu.

- This is an utterly dirty and uncomfortable place! The pictures are not resembling the reality of the rooms, bathrooms, common area, everything. I moved out after the first night, the owner contacted me, but i did not get a refund. Unless you like it dark, dirty, noisy, don’t go there.

- I felt humiliated, unsafe as my belongings had been moved while I wasn’t in the hostel to put somebody else in my bed, I needed to go look for another place in the middle of the night as my booking was cancelled.

- The hostel claims they provide a laundry service. You can wash your clothes but then you can hang it on a rusty drying rack. This resulted in clothes with Stains. I had to pay the laundry service myself. Still the stains won t come out. Their advice : buy a special product to get it out my self. Local host told me that I would get a reduction of 15%. They say nothing About the cost for laundry service and the value of my clothes that are possibly for the trash. My stay has been completed ; they cancel the booking and give me 12 euro’s 🤗. What a rip off. The owner and host then both ignore me when I contact them About this. First time Marocco and third bad experience with stayings. Generally poor country and they drive tourists away. Maybe it is because I am a female solo traveller. 💯 there is also fungus on the walls.

We stayed in the private room and had a great experience! The staff was wonderful, breakfast was good, and the location is great!! Anouar and Assane were so kind and helpful the whole time. Thank you!! We hope to come back :)
Een oke verblijf gehad hier, niet bijzonder. In de mixed dorm geslapen, erg klein en weinig frisse lucht. Ook het tapijt was erg stoffig en gebruikt, niet fijn als je zo dicht op de grond ligt met je matras. De medina was erg mooi en de locatie van het hostel was zeer goed! Paar leuke mensen ontmoet hier, maar zou er niet nog een keer verblijven.
We slept in the mixed dorm, very small and little fresh air. Also the carpet was very dusty and used, not nice when you are lying so close to the ground with your mattress. The medina was very nice and the location of the hostel was very good!
We stayed one night here. The location of the hostel was very nice, in the center of the medina. Sadly the rooms and especially the bathrooms weren´t really clean. It smelled a lot like mold and everything was wet. The rooftop was small but very pretty and the employees were super friendly. For breakfast you can choose between two meals, which will be made fresh.

Hostel bien situé dans la médina! Personnel agréable et au besoin aide avec plaisir. Cependant ambiance particulière dans cet hostel. On y est en sécurité. Difficile à avoir des interactions avec les autres clients, car pas de réel espace convivial. Roof top petit mais agréable et pièce salon petite et très sombre. Disposition des douches, dortoir spécial

A pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel is in a great location, and the overall conditions are more than acceptable. If you’re traveling to places like this, you need to be open-minded and adaptable, since you’ll be sharing a room with other people; there is some privacy, but it’s not like staying in a hotel. The showers are spacious and have hot water. I met some interesting travelers, which is one of the reasons I choose to stay in hostels.
Es war wirklich sehr schön hier zu übernachten. Man lernt sehr schnell Leute kennen und alle sind super herzlich. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
It was really very nice to stay here. you get to know people very quickly and everyone is super warm. i would definitely come back!

Das Zimmer war schön hat aber leider extrem nach Schimmel gestunken und alles war in Sekunden klamm nass. Das Bad ist ein WC mit einem Duschgriff.
The room was nice but the leader smelled extremely like Schimmel and everything was wet in seconds.

Lovely and helpful staff. Roms are good. The common area downstairs and on the rooftop are good spots for hanging out and connecting with other guests. Breakfast was included. Fast WiFi on all floors.
It just got renovated, located in the city centre. The staff was kind and helpful. We saw surfboards, so you probably can rent them.
