- Right after booking (less than 2 min had past) I called the hostel telling them how I had made a mistake with the booking date and was wondering whether they could change the date of it to a day when they had a free bed. I did not ask them to return the money, but just to kindly move my booking. I was trying to be friendly and apologetic about my mistake and encountered a very rude person on the phone telling me it was not their problem and that I had to book again and pay the full fee if I wanted to stay at their (overpriced) hostel. I understand the terms of cancellation and have often booked hostels/hotels on this platform. If you make a mistake (and immediately contact the property) the owners are usually kind and either waive the fee (even if it is not their usual policy), reduce the price, change the date for you or kindly explain how it is not in their power to do so. Never have I encountered such rude staff.
The worst hostel I have ever visited — and I’ve visited a lot! When I arrived in the middle of the day, the person who was supposed to be at reception was absent. I had to wait for 20 minutes and then left, only to come back later at 9 pm because I couldn’t wait all day. When I finally met her, she started yelling and screaming at me just because I arrived at 9 pm (as I said, she wasn’t there earlier). She also refused to accept card payment, so I had to go change cash. On top of that, ...
Mitarbeiter sprach kaum Englisch, ich musste vor Ort fast doppelt so viel bezahlen als online angegeben, als sie meine Wäsche gewaschen haben war danach die Hälfte eingefärbt, das Schlafzimmer hatte keine Türen, das eine Bad konnte man nicht abschließen, beim anderen Bad hat ständig das Schloss geklemmt wenn man wieder aufsperren wollte, in der Küche kaum Platz und kaum Kochgeschirr, Bäder nicht besonders sauber
Son unos estafadores!! No vayáis allí! Fuimos a este hostel porque tenia buena pinta y reservamos a través de Hostelworld. Al llegar nos dijeron que había un error y el precio era el doble del que ponía en Hostelworld. Era de noche y nos dijeron que teníamos que pagar lo que decían ellos o dormíamos en la calle. Tampoco nos devolvieron lo que pagamos por la reserva. Hablamos con otros huéspedes y les había pasado lo mismo. Peor hostel al que he ido nunca.
I am going to leave all my emotions away and give you the facts and you can decide what you want to do. I made a booking for €15 when I arrived there. The manager said I have to pay €35. I showed the Booking on the hostel.com they said that hostel.com made an error and that I have to pay 35. I told him that I don’t have the money and that I cannot find another place and I am feeling really sick and to please help mehe refused so I ended up on the street last night. I did not pay 35 .
They charged double the listed price, claiming there was a mistake in the app. The hostel was far from clean, especially the kitchen, which lacked even a microwave or a proper dining space. There was no common area, no atmosphere, and nowhere to sit while waiting for check-in. The dorm room had no door, the main entrance didn’t lock, and even the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. Overall, the place felt disorganized, uncomfortable. Definitely not worth it.

+ The staff were very friendly and approachable. Additionally, the location was amazing, being in the centre of the old town. The bathrooms were clean, with two towels provided.
- Unfortunately the bed I was in had bed bugs, with my entire body being bitten (see picture of one of my arms alone, with plenty more bites on my legs, feet, chest, belly and neck). I only realised after my stay that they were bed bug bites as they were itching like crazy and were all in patterns of 5+ bites. I now have bites all over my body that I’ll have to try to cover up for now whilst getting on with my everyday life.

Really weird vibe. Good if you’re only there for a night and need a cheap place to stay but that’s about it. Good location in old town but yeah super weird.

Great stay overall - very helpful staff and beautifully decorated place with a nice atmosphere. A few improvements: add a floor wiper in the bathrooms, more hooks for clothes/towels, and a holder for the shower head. A bonfire area and a small quiet prayer/meditation corner would also be a nice touch. Slightly pricey, but overall a lovely stay.
Ramo was a wonderful host, and the property is right in the heart of the Old Town. It was comfortable, convenient, and absolutely worth the money. Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay here ! The best location, step right out into the old town streets. The owner is super lovely, and you’ll feel very well looked after.
+ Incredible hostel! The staff Sandra and Dauchan are super kind and helpful for things to do and open to talking about Kotor and Montenegro so that I could learn from their experience. The beds are super comfy and bathrooms are very comfortable as well with toilet/ sink and shower together. I’ve stayed in some Airbnbs less comfortable than this hostel. Common spaces are inviting and the location couldn’t be better! I would like to come back and this hostel raised my standards of what a great hostel can be!

+ Absolutely amazing hostel in the heart of the Kotor old town. The staff were so kind and informative about everything Kotor. She drew on a Kotor map and told me everything I should do. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfy. The water was hot and the pressure was great. Location is awesome. Please don’t skip this place!

+ I really appreciated how welcoming and helpful the staff were throughout my stay. They gave great local recommendations and were always happy to help. The hostel also had a friendly, social atmosphere, making it easy to meet other travellers, and everything was clean and well-maintained.

+ completely everything - service (lockers and towels), atmosphere, comfort, stable wifi, provided kitchen, very very nice personal, good organisation plus i always forget how beautiful the view from some of the rooms/bathrooms are! rooms are super comfortable because of the curtains and lamps and electrical outlets at every bed.
