Tucano House Summer Hostel

its a fine hostel, but toooo expensive. for that price it needs to be much cleaner . the beds need to be mucher better.

I was asked to change room during the stay, and staff had packed up all my belongings before I was even told I would need to change rooms. For the change of rooms they said I’d need to take everything into reception and wait for my new room to be available in the afternoon. This is despite making only one booking for the stay. Other than this the hostel is nice, social and the staff were friendly.

Great atmosphere, is a party hostel and they give discounts onto club events most days. AC was a good temperature at night, but isn’t turned on until 10:30pm. They do a family dinner every night which is good, very easy to make friends if you are solo travelling!! Good location to the town too.

Tucano is a great hostel with good vibes, friendly staff, and delicious communal dinners. I booked a private room and overall I really enjoyed my stay but there were a few problems. The first was that the internet isn't reliable, especially at night. The second is that the blinds in my room didn't actually cover the window, only about half of it. It's not a huge deal but the given that the rooms were relatively expensive, I'd expect better. Regardless, I'd stay here again!

Social atmosphere but felt very cliquey. Not enough bathrooms available for the number of people staying. Fairly far from the beach but easy enough to get a bus there. Staff were inappropriate and unprofessional at times, would avoid if you're a solo female traveller.

Stayed in 3 hostels in Floripa and this was our favourite. Impossible to avoid meeting great people and making great friends. Staff were super welcoming - shout out to Zeca! Thanks for making our stay so great.

Property was nice and the staff was lovely. They gave me directions to a nice Italian restaurant nearby for dinner that was well priced. Facilities were clean. There isn’t a charger next to every bed. Nice pool area and two kitchens. I did have an early morning flight and it was quite difficult to figure out how to unlock the gates but felt very secure! I only stayed for one night but hostel seemed social as well. Nice place to stay on Argentina side of the falls.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. dinners were a lot of fun. I want to give this place more stars but it lacked so many basic essentials. I had a 4 bed room and it's way too tiny. also 3 bathrooms for the entire hostel is not enough and should not even be allowed. the grass is infested with sand flies and mosquitoes. I didn't like that I went on a yoga/meditation session but was only told the cost was $35R only when it was time to check out.

My 2nd time there. Definitely one of the best -- if not the best -- hostel in Lagoa and in all Florianópolis. Always a great time there. Will surely return later in 2026 or next year. Valeu, galera!

Super fun hostel with a lovely welcoming environment, met so many amazing people here and will really really miss it!!!

Loved this hostel! Stayed here the last couple of days before they closed for the season. Highly recommend the dinners they do in the evening, the chefs are amazing. They organized something to do each evening as well. I stayed in the female dorm, no outlets near some of the beds but besides that great. Hostel was very clean and you can do laundry nearby at gringos. Staff was helpful if you had any questions.

Great hostel and very social! Dinner is really good and staff is super nice. The room have no curtains which is a big minus, there is aldo nowher to really but your stuff so the room get super messy and bags all over the floor. But for the vibes and social atmosphere it is amazing.

Staff was super nice! I had made a mistake in the booking and they were super accomodating and did everything to find a Solution and help us out. Common dinners were nice. Some spiderwebs here and there but otherwise very clean at all times.

Such a lovely hostel. Everyone is so friendly and it’s great hostel to meet other people. They have family dinners every night for about 40reals, and every single meal was delicious. Highly recommend!

Nice and social hostel, definitely need hooks and hangers in the bathroom for towels and such though.

my favorite hostel so far. the staff was extremly friendly and I felt like part of the family since the beginning. I loved the social vibe and the amazing family dinners. Would always come back🫶
