Kiez Hostel Berlin

Loud snorer in my dorm made four nights of sleep impossible, and staff ignored repeated complaints — three guests even left early. The atmosphere was cold, unsocial and cliquish, far from the inclusive vibe advertised, with even the manager showing little courtesy. If you want rest and a friendly environment, choose another hostel.

Front desk worker banged with his closed first on the rail of the bed to wake me up and tell me to checkout. I made an error on the reeboking dates by 1 day and this is how they demand me to leave after spending 3 days there. I asked to speak to the owner for the level of disrespect on waking me up. He refused to let me speak to the owner and instead, got one of the cleaning employees to physically intimidate me and I immediately called the police and filed a report and will now press charge

They didn't clean up the bed before I moved in. So I had to spend an hour waiting when I arrived in the middle of the night. Room was really musty smelling, too.

Quite pricey for the quality you get. Curtains are letting in a lot of light and very loud automatic closing doors. Woke me up even with using earplugs. Showers also very basic.

Reception was not available for most of the day and check in was very late. Our beds were not made when we arrived; however, after we made them and left, someone remade our bed and moved our stuff around. The price did not equate to what we received. Staff was inattentive and facilities and rooms were not worth the price.

Das Personal war freundlich und die Zimmergenossen waren ebenfalls nett. Allerdings hat es mir nicht gefallen, dass die Wände von oben bis unten vollgekritzelt waren. Auch wenn es Berlin ist und alles dort voll mit Graffiti ist finde ich sollte man nicht auch noch die Wände im Hostel vollkritzeln. Die Leite die das veranlasst haben versuchen wahrscheinlich cool und kreativ zu sein. Letzendlich fühlt man sich mit diesem ganzen Gekritzel aber einfach nicht wohl. Es ist einfach too much…

When I did online reservation confirmation email says 21.60 payment lef after prepayment 3.60 euro( taxes). But, they charged 24.60 euro at the hostel. In Total, I purchased 28.20 euro. However, the websites says 24.00 for all. This misinforming might be the website fault, but anyway I was not very much informed at the hostel as well.

Nice, cozy, has a lot of personality. I camped out here for a couple of days while I visited Berghain, it’s perfect for that.

Lage des Hostels ist richtig gut, Bahn ist etwa 3 min entfernt. Ausstattung ist sehr gut und die Bäder sind ordentlich. Matratze ist sehr gemütlich, leider war die Decke nicht lang genug. Der Check-in war ein bisschen kompliziert, da niemand die Tür um 17 Uhr aufgemacht hat. Durch die Eingangstür kam ich nur, da ein Nachbar die Tür aufgemacht hat und die Eingangstür wurde von einem Mädchen aufgemacht, die auch auf das Check-in gewartet hat. Sonst sehr toll!

One of the best hostel stay ever! thanks Kiez Team for organizing everything so thoughtfully for your guests. the location is in a quiet place. The bunk beds are of good quality without any creaking sounds (unlike any other hostel). the common areas have pretty much everything one would look for, and all very well maintained and clean. The staffs and the owners are very kind and soft spoken. There's a public recreational area around the corner, the hostel offers various sports equipments too

Ich habe im Kiez- Hostel angenehm im 5- Betten-Männerzimmer. Für das soziale Milieu/Umfeld in Berlin wichtig: Nicht jeder mag Mixed- Räume. Es gibt Wahlmöglichkeit: Frauen-, Männer und gemischter Schlafraum. Die Kommunikation vorab war freundlich und einfach. Ich konnte Bettwäsche und ein Bett unten bestellen: Ich bin 50G- behindert. Das Bett war bereits bezogen. Danke hierfür! Tip: Schemel für die Kleidung im Schlafraum wär angenehm, die Duschräume m/w getrennt schafft mehr Privatg...

Das Hostel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist sehr gemütlich, die Leute sind super freundlich und die Betten sehr bequem. Alles ist sauber und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. In der Umgebung gibt es viele tolle Bars, es ist aber trotzdem sehr ruhig im Hostel. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

J'avais réservé la chambre Bicycle, pour mes deux ados et moi et j'en suis très satisfaite ! La chambre est très bien organisée. Des sanitaires neufs et multiples sont à proximité et très propres. La literie n'est peut-être pas parfaite, mais les larges oreillers, les couettes confortables et les nombreux coussins apportent une réelle impression de confort. Il est possible d'ajuster la chaleur de la chambre selon ses besoins. La cuisine partagée est très bien organisée et entretenue...

Amazing bathroom had a massive getting ready vanity, so we could get ready to go out at 1 am without disturbing anyone in the room. Staff was super nice and welcoming.

Awesome hostel! Super clean and cozy with common space to hang out and a kitchenette. Not overly social/party vibes but easy to chat and make friends. It was so nice to come back from being out in Berlin to a cozy quiet space (and super comfy beds!). It is close to a few clubs, bars, cafes, and shops as well as a short walk to a station (quick ride to city center). Friendly and super helpful and accommodating staff as well. Cannot recommend enough and hope to stay again!!!

Really cute hostel which felt a bit like home! Everything was pretty clean. There are well equipped bathrooms with hot showers and a kitchen free for use. The staff is very welcoming. A hidden gem in the midst of Berlin! Strong recommend :)
