Hanoi Backpackers Hostel & Rooftop Bar

Wouldn’t recommend. They charged us 10% extra on arrival because we booked through hostel world (would have been 20% if we payed by card). The man at reception came into our room at 3am and woke up my friend to ask him if he had a bottle opener???? Honesty so weird and uncomfortable. I also did my laundry there and my stuff is not clean and one of my tops has been bleached. Also they are doing building work on every floor. Location is great though.

Super dirty all around. Sheets were stained, found a bed bug my last morning right before I left. Bed were also so squeaky it was almost funny. The staff were good though and the rooftop was fun and it was easy to meet people. Would just recommend staying at another hostel and coming to the bar to socialize

I usually love staying in hostels, but this hostel is really bad. I’ve been traveling Vietnam for a while and wanted to take a break and book a private room. Nothing works. I can’t control the A/C, water heater doesn’t work (had to shower with cold water everyday), and someone once walked inside my room without knocking, I could have been naked or something. Not only that but the service is not the best, I booked a Halong bay day trip and they almost overcharged me if I didn’t say anythi...

hostel is absolutely disgusting. rats, cockroaches and dirt everywhere. I had blood stained sheets. they changed it to even dirtier sheets. for the price of a single room, this is absolutely outrageous. please book something else.

Rooms were way too hot including dining room— not comfortable room set ups either (dorms)

Not a fan of this hostel, staff weren’t friendly and the beds were disgusting.

Heel vies hostel. Kamers waren al vies en overal lag eten. Vervolgens zijn tassen doorgeknaagd door muizen en hebben ze op de bedden gezeten. Toen naar een andere kamer verhuisd na het zelf 3x te moeten vragen. Personeel zei het te regelen maar ondernamen geen actie uit zichzelf. In de nieuwe kamer hoorden we de muizen ook door het plafond lopen. Geen plek om te chillen. Ontbijt was prima.

tolles Team das gute stimmung macht aber leider ist die Hygiene furchtbar. Die Tische kleben und es sind Ratten und Kackerlaken im der Küche und dem Frühstücksraum unterwegs.

I was out in another building, the room didn’t have any windows and was not clean. I left early.

This hostel cancelled my booking after checkout to not let me review, but complained to Hostelworld and now I can it was conveniently located + Hanoi’s an amazing city but, Booked a private room checked in at 2am this was the dirtiest hostel we stayed at in SE Asia The sheets were dirty with stains and melted wax? We repeatedly complained they dismissed and refused to change the bed Biting ants everywhere When complained refused to give more than 200K dong(5.7£

Not a good place to stay. Room was smelly and dirty. Showers and toilets were supper narrow (no place to hang your things and everything gets wet). Bar area was not as pretty as it looks in pictures. Breakfast was average. They are renovating so it’s always loud. Maybe in a few months when they finish with the renovations it will be a nice place to stay.

Amazing hostel and prime location, rooms are comfy and staff are so accommodating and eager to help with recommendations and ideas !! Would stay again in Hanoi

Bed bugs in multiple friends beds

Fantastic hostel, well-organized, and located right in the heart of the nightlife. Clean rooms and an exceptional rooftop. They even have billiards. It's a great place to stay and meet new people.
