Sri Villa Polwatta

This is more like a dorm inside a family house. It's really quiet and has a big garden, definitely not a party hostel or a place to meet people. The family is super sweet. If you want to have a quiet stay without the surfer-/partycrowd: great.

It was a great stay. If you need anything, you can just ask the hosts, who are super nice and helpful. The garden offers peace and nature, but there are also a lot of flies. To find the hostel, you have to walk around the house to the right. I also met some cool people there.

Very lovely hostel run by a wonderful family. They made us feel very welcome and always kept the place clean. The beds are super comfy and have their own reading lights and curtains for privacy. Beds are also set into the wall rather than having a creaky metal or wooden frame which was great for good sleep. The walk to the beach/ main area was easy and only took 10-15 minutes. Ended up extending our stay from 2 nights to 5. Would definitely recommend.

The owner are very sweet and would do anything to make us happy. They are very generous and adorable. Loved the stay

we booked this place with little to no idea of what we were in for and were so pleasently surprised by this stunning family run hostel. the owners are so wonderfully accommodating and the rooms are lovely. if you book the dorm you have a bunk that feels like a personal little room with power points a light and curtains for privacy. the hostel owners have 4 of the sweetest and cleanest dogs who love a cuddle. cannot recommend Sri villa more highly.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und gemütlich. Das personal war immer sehr freundlich. Sie haben sehr süss Hunde und Katzen. Der einzige Nachteil war, die Toilette war nicht immer so sauber und das Toilettenpapier hat oft gefehlt. Und das Licht im Damenbadezimmer war defekt.
