It is clearly new. The staff is very kind and generous, but I'm pretty sure they used AI photos of what it will look like when it is complete, not what it looks like while they're still constructing. It is clean, and there were lots of clubs nearby but not much else to do.

From the moment I walked through the door, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for – something that's surprisingly rare even in the best hostels.The staff here are exceptional.
