Vang Vieng Khampaseuth Hotel

+ Central location.

- Poorly maintained utilities.

+ My room didn't have any mosquitoes or other bugs in it. So that's a major plus. The breakfast is very good. You have a menu with a wide variety to choose from. The breakfast is made fresh. It's near the train station.

- The staff is friendly, and the facilities at the hotel are very clean. However, the toilet and sink faucet in my bathroom could've been cleaned a bit better. While the toilet seat itself was clean, the rest of the toilet needed to be scrubbed a bit. The faucet looked like it was covered with either built-up calcite or toothpaste. It's hard to tell. Nevertheless, the bedroom area was very clean, including the floors. At night, it sounded like something was always swimming in the toilet. There was nothing ever in the toilet bowl, so maybe it's just the sound the toilet makes at night. I'm not sure if other guests had that issue, but that was my issue in Room 249. The wifi is not very good. Sometimes I couldn't connect to WhatsApp. It also took me almost 4 hours over 2 evenings and 1 afternoon to watch a 1.5 hour movie.

+ Das Hotel ist insgesamt gut und die Zimmer sind relativ sauber. Vor allem das Bett war sehr gut und sauber.

- Die Lage des Hotels ist zu weit außerhalb von Vang Vieng und der Weg dorthin total staubig entlang einer von Autos und LKWs total stark frequentierten Straße. Man sollte sich für den Aufenthalt zumindest ein Motorrad mieten um die Umgebung zu erkunden und in den Ort zu kommen. Denn abends bei Sonnenuntergang ist es beim Fluss im Ort am schönsten! Das Zimmer wirkte zwar sauber, aber auch abgewohnt. Die Schrankture klemmt , keine Kleiderbügel. Die Badtüre klemmt und ließ sich nicht schließen. Der Duschschlauch war komisch und schlecht zu handhaben (Zi.246). Die Zimmer nach hinten sind am ruhigsten, auch wenn überall die Türen von anderen Gästen sehr oft und sehr spät in der Nacht extrem laut zugeschlagen werden.

- Iets verder van het centrum, maar nog prima te lopen

+ I really appreciated the helpful service provided by the receptionist, who gave me great tips for Vang Vieng and helped me out with several problems. The pool is gigantic and it was so nice to take a swim at night after a long day of hiking. I will definitely stay at Khampenseuth Hotel again the next time I visit Laos.
