Few communal spaces means there is nowhere to hang out and meet people, and lots of people end up sitting in the corridors. I paid for a private room, but there was nothing private about it since with the door closed I could still hear people 10m down the corridor and they could hear me... no privacy. the room was hot and stuffy, no flat surface to unpack other than the small nightstand. showers never had hot water. I don't expect luxury but this hostel is missing basic things!
Bar au centre de l'hôtel, énormément de bruit le soir. Odeur horrible dams les chambres. Manque d'eau chaude pour les douches.
Bar in the center of the hotel, very noisy at night, horrible smell damages the rooms, lack of hot water for showers.
Nuestra experiencia en el hostal ha sido bastante desagradable. No hemos descansado bien por el ruido, los pitidos del tráfico son continuos desde por la mañana. Además el hostal alberga muchas actividades externas a los huéspedes, como fiestas en el rooftop y en las salas anexas a la recepción. No hay nada de insonorización. Por otra parte, nos robaron varias cosas y nos hemos sentido desatendidos.También la habitación 1 da a la oficina de tours y el chico entra y sale constantemente.
Our experience in the hostel has been quite unpleasant. we have not rested well because of the noise, the traffic beeping is continuous since the morning. in addition the hostel hosts many outdoor activities for guests, such as parties on the rooftop and in the rooms adjacent to the reception. there is nothing soundproofing. on the other hand, we were robbed of several things and we felt neglected. also room 1 leads to the tour office and the guy comes in and out constantly.
They played loud music all night so I couldn’t sleep one second. After claiming a refund I was told that was possible but it never arrived. Do not recommend at all

The people staying the hostel were weird, the private room was dirty and you did not feel comfortable. Most importantly: the location La Victoria is VERY DANGEROUS!!

Staff was SUPER nice, but that's it. Besides a 7 street lane, so super loud.Opening or closing the window gives you the choice of a loud room or a hot one! Those high ceilings look good? Yes but thay means every noise in your dorm resonates more! Kitchen hasn't been deep cleaned in years probably. Location isn't good either, the museum close by aren't the interesting ones. Their laundry service managed to lose some of my stuff, and give me something that belongs to someone else. Don't go here.
No outlets were working so everyone was changing their phones in the hallways, rooms suuuper loud, car hunking right by your bed all night, impossible to get any sleep and no AC either. Also a really shady area, would not recommend

The breakfast was amazing, and it’s included with the booking. I also really liked the location—it's a 1 km walk to the bus station and about 2.2 km to Plaza Mayor and the cathedral. *Lima might seem chaotic at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Inside the hostel it’s super chill, and you end up meeting people who have the same plan to go to Cusco and Paracas. Ahh this Hostel have good price for hostels in Cusco and Paracas
Es un lugar acogedor! El personal del desayuno encantador Andrés y su equipo. Hay actividades en el hostel en el bar Pisco Sour sesión y Caminata con una guía espectacular Beka. Quedé fascinado por la atmósfera del lugar, se siente la hospitalidad al huésped. A veces, está lleno y se entiende la calidad-precio que incluye desayuno.
Super hostel. Je recommande vraiment pour le prix il y a petit dej super bon, les espaces sont spacieux et propres.
I really recommend it for the price, there is a super good breakfast, the spaces are spacious and clean.
Very affordable hostel, big with lots of room and a cozy rooftop. They offer different tours an activities. For the price this makes for a great stay. However, the beds shake and aren’t that comfy, and the showers were very dirty! Lots of wet tissue paper and dirt

Great hostel ! Stayed for 3 nights and wish we could’ve stayed a few more. The free breakfast was great! We really enjoyed the area, lots of nice parks, street food and local people. It’s quite a busy street and can be loud but that’s not an issue for us. The rooftop is really nice and chilled and overall just has a really good vibe. Also the staff are all really kind and put a lot of love into the place.
Loved it! This place has lots of areas to relax and is very pretty. I was only here one night but from what I saw this is a very chill hostel, and it worked for me perfectly since my bus station was very close to the hostel. If you’re looking to explore the downtown area of Lima instead of miraflores, this place is for you.
Excelente palacete reformado en el centro de Lima. 2 pasos del.parque de la Exposicion y el Museo de Arte de Lima. Precios razonables con desayuno incluido. Habitaciones individuales amplísimas..Cuantiosas duchas y retretes. Limpio, seguro y un equipo super simpático y eficaz.
Excellent renovated palace in the center of Lima. 2 steps from the Exhibition Park and the Lima Museum of Art. Reasonable prices with breakfast included. Very spacious single rooms..Lots of showers and toilets. Clean, safe and a super friendly and efficient team.
Place to put your head, that’s about it
really nice building with history, good breakfast, free tours, friendly atmosphere, and gorgeous rooftop. staff was very helpful. close to what there is to do in that part of town.

Not the best location it’s very noisy, there is only a small fan in the bedrooms so people leave the balcony doors open where you can hear the traffic from the busy road late into the night and very early in the morning. There were a lot of families and couples staying there and it didn’t feel the best place to meet people as a solo traveller.

I think if you're the first time in Lima it's better to stay somewhere in Miraflores. since this hostel is quite far from many things to do. But I liked this part of Lima, breakfast was not bad,the hostel offers differnt activities what is nice.
Although it can be a little noisy at times it was a really enjoyable place to be, we will come back.
Das 1900 Backpackers Hostel war mein erstes Erlebnis in Peru und es war wirklich toll. Ich wurde super freundlich empfangen und konnte, obwohl ich aufgrund der Zeit natürlich nicht einchecken konnte, nach einem sehr langen Flug direkt duschen und meine Sachen lagern um Lima zu besuchen. Jeremy hat mir einen tollen Pisco Sour beigebracht und Beka war eine tolle Unterstützung vor Ort. Vielen Dank für den guten Start in Peru
1900 Backpackers Hostel was my first experience in Peru and it was really great. i was super friendly and although i couldn't check in due to the time of course i was able to shower directly after a very long flight and visit my luggage storage around lima. jeremy taught me a great pisco sour and beka was a great support on the spot. thank you very much for the good start in peru

This hostel is located in a beautiful older building with high ceilings and comfy common areas with lots of charm. The staff is very kind and the hostel is so, so clean. I also appreciated the free breakfast and offered activities. I didn’t love the locations as it’s about a 30-35 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas and I was catcalled a lot while exploring the city center, but everything else was good.
