Check Inn HK

The standard private room is a complete rip-off: tiny to the point you can’t even open a medium suitcase, mold on the ceiling from no ventilation and after a shower the room becomes a sauna, a toilet that clogged after one use, and a door that didn’t even close at check-in. The male receptionist with glasses ignored it until I escalated to Annie the next day and then it was fixed. The sheets were dirty too: a short hair and even snot. Even with HK’s high prices, this place is unacceptable.

Careful when choosing this place, apart from any lack of privacy with the cheap bunk beds, the lack of an own light, my bed came with bed bugs.

One of the worst hostels. The facilities are okay but the rooms are tiny and insanely loud especially if someone opens the door to the dormitory. The beds are comfy but make you wake up whenever the person on the top moves the slightest bit. The staff also entered the room in the middle of the night 5 times and turned on the light and loudly explained to new guests which bed belongs to them. Generally I did not sleep more than 2h per night due to this. Also I saw a cockroach in the hallway

horrible stay, the staff didn't want to refund my staying while the others guests were coming late complety drunk and vomiting in the showers. It's dirty and noisy

It was the worst experience I ever had in my entire life. Atmosphere was horrible, the rooms looked like a prison it smells like garbage. I arrived around 9pm. I left the hostel in the first moment in the morning to a hotel. I lost 3 nights of money cause they wouldn’t refund, but that’s fine. Don’t recommend at all. DO NOT GO

They scammed my credit card after I checked out, they charged $150 (USD) for some stupid a$$ charge when I tried to reach them they never responded! The moment i left they scammed, i left the country on that day so. Nor the hostel world support work it $ucks

I honestly was a bit hesitant to book because of some reviews but honestly, one of the most chill hostels I stayed in HK, especially for that price. The rooms are indeed small, but that is also just what you get in HK. Had a great stay!

I booked a private room, and I’m a female solo traveler. I felt safe, great location and friendly staff, however I had to leave a night early due to cockroaches in my room.

Lack of cleaning the rooms and bathrooms on a daily basis. Some of the customers are very noisy ( after 2 AM ) and the staff don't say anything. However, staff are friendly.

No atmosphere / socialising. Good location, rooms really small so no space for backpacks / luggage

Solid facilities and was good for a one night stay

Great location with lovely staff. Very close to tram stops and close to the AirPort Express train. Felt very safe here as a solo female traveller. Free drinking water, free wifi and the bathroom in the room was nice. Only complaint would have to be no curtains on the bunks, however I was able to hang up my towel to cover my head to waist.

10/10 place to stay, staff kept it super clean! would definitely come back :)

I don't know why this structure has such an high score. The price is really too expensive for this type of hostel. The rooms where very small and all the bed piled up next to each others, there was no space to even walk. It's like they put five bed in a single bed room. The bathroom was very small and not so clean.In the common bathroom someone was peeing with the door open... . The only good thing is the position and the other travelers which were friendly. But the cleaning is terrible.

Not much going on here in terms of atmosphere, activities, staff, etc. Great location! Private room was the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in but it worked. Only a couple could share it though, would be awkward for 2 friends!

Es war so "la-la". Die Zimmer waren zum Teil Hochbetten, mit 3 Etagen, das fand ich etwas ungewohnt. Dann gab es auch keine Vorhänge und es war so laut, da dass Hostel direkt an der Hauptstraße liegt. Für den Preis "ok", aber echt nicht herausragend!

This is a good option if you’re only in Hong Kong for a night or two. The rooms are really cramped and tiny, so difficult for opening your backpack or suitcase. The shower and bathrooms are better than other hostel, but still really tiny. The staff were fairly ok.

Hood for Hong Kong

The good location on HK Island is the main selling point here. The hostel itself is pretty big and stretches over many floors. Rooms are small but that’s HK. The people staying here are a bit weird tho. The age average seems to be around 40, many locals are staying as well. Not really a backpacker vibe. We had issues with a guest in my room who was loud and aggressive in the middle of the night. On a good note, we were able to change rooms at 3:30 in the morning, thanks to 24/7 reception!

I do not recommend this place to a female solo traveller. I did not feel safe at all. There is only one bathroom. The beds are cheap with no light or shelf or privacy curtain. Generally felt so uncomfortable. Yes it is cheap and you can tell.
