Viajero Oaxaca Hostel

Horrible. Les chambres sont minuscules et non ventilés, la température explosé la nuit. les lits disposent de ventilateurs individuels qui font des bruits de camion et vibrent. L'hostel entier est très impersonnel et donne plus un aire de pompe à fric corporate que d'auberge conviviale. les sorties annoncées sur la page sont en réalités bien plus chères et moins nombreuses.

They charged me more than what the site page showed, watch out when you pay your bill

I had the worst internet in 5 months of travelling 5 different countries. No matter what network you choose, none of them work. If you are lucky, maybe you will have internet for 10 minutes but no longer than that! Oh, and that would only be in the common areas because in the room there is no reception. Another thing are the common areas, there are only two and they are quite small and not so comfortable. The dorm rooms are tiny and they are extremely hot... Only fans and no AC.

Stayed in tons of hostels over the years and this one sticks out as bad. Other travelers also mentioned that. The rooms had zero ventilation, making the room almost 85F , much warmer than the outside temperature (70F at night), one of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in and the lockers are very inconvenient. I found beg bugs on the bed and they bite me all over my stomach.Nobody helped me at the hostel. please dont go here.

I didn’t stay there and they didn’t return my money yet. I’ve booked throw the website and when i got there they told me that my room didn’t exist and that if i want the same kind of room i would have to pay more then the double of what i had already booked. They didn’t try to help to solve the problem, only said they could give me the 20% percent that the platform already had gave me booking the room that was way more expensive

very very overpriced. we have been staying in hostels for over a year and this is seriously overpriced. The staff are friendly and the bathrooms are clean HOWEVER you are paying premium prices and so the rest is very disappointing. The rooms are tiny, the private isa prison box, no window, hanging space, ventilation, literally just the bed. every additional service is charged at a premium. the sinks are in the second floor and shower in the basement so enjoy a long walk if you are a girl

Building is magnificent, decor is tasteful and artistic. Beds are comfy, staff are pleasant. It’s a new hostel and they are unaware of their teething problems. I talked to Diego at the reception. He took my comments seriously and wrote them down in a big notebook. 1) no wi-fi on top floor. Let’s start with saying the staff is nice and the hostel is pretty. BUT the rooms are terrible. It gets insanely hot and stuffy, the fans at the beds are extremely loud and the WiFi is bad. Given it’s a coworking space that is not okay. Since the WiFi is bad in the rooms everyone sits in the lobby which is directly bordering some rooms so it’s very loud all throughout the evening and night. I didn’t get a single good nights sleep and additionally the shower had only cold water.

we had so much fun only because of Reza , he is the best host and I have been in various viajero but he is the best host that I have seen !! actually the rooftop is amazing, the vibe is cool , the food is good and there are a lot of activities and you can connect with other travellers easily , thanks viajero thanks Rezalito

Excelente hostal, una gran experiencia. Definitivamente regresaría, un agradecimiento a Kaori que me dio muchas recomendaciones de que hacer en Oaxaca en un solo día.

Muy cerca del centro. Excelente vistas en la terraza, el servicio de Kaori fue excepcional al igual que la recomendación del desayuno (Avocado Toast).

Sauberes Hostel, Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend! Immer wieder denke ich mir, dass Viajero Hostels mehr Ablageflächen haben sollten.

The hostel is in a great location and I liked the events they put on. I met some great people while staying here. The rooms get pretty hot in the summer w/ no AC but each bunk has its own fan. The rooftop area was pretty with great views. The staff were nice and helpful. One of the staff members working the bar area (I believe her name was Carolina) was super rude and slammed/locked a door in my face. She also was rude when ordering food, and other members felt the same way. Very off putting...

Very pretty hostel. Easy to meet new people. The AC was a bit cold in the room but the staff was happy to adjust the temperature and give extra blankets. Unfortunately no windows in the room so you can’t really let the room air so there’s always a little smell. There’s music until 11 pm but with earplugs it’s not bothering you. I would stay here again!

El hostal es muy bueno pero lo que lo hace excelente es Dany y Reza. En el momento que llegas al rooftop se encargan de que todo el mundo sea incluido. Con juegos, conversaciones, planes etc. Super amables y divertidos. El hostal esta en una zona tranquila pero segura. Limpio y grande. Recomiendo 100%

the staff were incredibly welcoming there was a nice friendly atmosphere i did tours through the hostel and my tour guides reza and dany were both knowledgeable funny and friendly making the experience very enjoyable. the only very slight issue with the hostel was there was only one shower and toilet in the room between 8 of us and the fan was placed in a funny position so i hit my head a couple of times jn the night but neither effected me greatly. i would definitely recommend this hostel.

My stay here was very pleasant, I did the walking tour with Reza and it was great.

Would stay again. Convenient location away from the noise. Super nice staff

Sehr schönes Hostel, der Aufenthalt hat wirklich Spaß gemacht. Grüße gehen raus an meinen داداش Rezalitooooo bester Mitarbeiter, wenn ihr in trefft dann hinterlasst mal bitte ein „mein Bruder lan“ sehr sehr witziger Typ, wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

Would 100% recommend staying here if you’re in Oaxaca! It was very easy to meet other solo travelers and the dorms were super comfortable. Special thanks to Reza for bringing his amazing energy and connecting people at the rooftop, to Dani for making the best cocktails of Oaxaca, and to Danny for being a great guide during one of the tours of the hostel :)

Fun social hostel, the rooftop is awesome and it’s a 10 minute walk from downtown Oaxaca. I made lots of friends here and really enjoyed!

We arrived really early in the morning after a night bus and Dani (if I write it correct😅) helped us so good! I did something wrong with the booking and he fixed it for us and was also really nice (we were really happy with that after the long night bus haha) Overall all of the staff was amazing and the hostel was really clean, pretty and had a nice vibe. On the last day the staff also helped with fixing my backpack, so that was really sweet!

Der Aufenthalt im Viajero hat mir seeeehr gut gefallen! Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Atmosphäre ist gut, die Rooftop-Bar sehr schön und die Mitarbeitenden sehr nett! Vor allem Reza hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben und für gute Stimmung gesorgt😊

Amazing stay at V. Great activities everyday and Rezalito was an incredible host. Good cocktails and the rooftop as well. 10/10
