Hated it. This is a place for a particular crowd. And get ready for bedtime at 10pm, as everything closes like clockwork, the kitchen and all the common areas and all the lights switch off. I felt very awkward here and for the remainder of my stay, I kept to myself. On my first day here and I got into a big dispute with one of the staff who wanted to show her dominance by telling me what I can and cannot do, She had no customer service skills whatsoever, and from then on it set the mood.

Really good hostel, really easy to meet people, a bit expensive and sad they don’t offer free breakfast but loved my stay there 🤩

The staff could be friendlier. At check out the receptionist yelled at me telling me i need to learn Portuguese… when the hostel is literally called multicultural. Staff advised me to not walk the area of the hostel after dark. It’s close to the beach and it’s pretty clean. They do a WhatsApp group to organize activities but due to the receptionist i will stay in another hostel when i return.

Tiene un ambiente muy agradable, está en una zona segura pero personalmente me gustó mas alojarme en Pelourinho. Los servicios del hostel están bien, aunque preferiría que la cocina fuese 24 horas y solo cerrara mientras se hace la limpieza. Por lo demás, está bien y siempre hay planes disponibles. Es un buen lugar para conectar con viajeros!!!

I really enjoyed my time at nomads it has everything you need it’s so close to the beach and a quick Uber to all the cultural sites of Salvador. The strict 10pm quiet time was perfect if you wanted to go to bed or go out to a bar or an event. I made a few good friends here and it’s such a great place to stay in Salvador. There are loads of things to do in the hostel with all the common areas like the tv room and the sports hall. I did loads of fun activities.

Pros: It's a nice hostel, I liked that it has several areas to relax, there's a very calm atmosphere. About the staff, they were wonderful people in general. Excellent cleanliness. You can meet people, social atmosphere. bCons: The place feels very outdated and old. They overpriced me because it was Carnival time and when I used the spaces it felt like I was assaulted because of the amount of money I paid compared to what I received.

We were sleeping next to the common area. For ventilation there were holes in the wall, but therefore no isolation from the noise. It was quiet at 10PM though. On one day there was no water for several hours. The study area is very nice though!

Great location situated in Barra and only a few minutes walk from the beach. Because we don’t speak Portuguese we didn’t get a tour of the place when we first checked in so had to figure out a lot on our own. Only 1 shower and 1 toilet for the entire floor (but I heard there’s plans to expand with a second bathroom). Very well equipped kitchen, yoga, kick boxing, capoeira classes. And a really cute dog!!

Average Hostel. In the description this is said that’s the Hostel is 5 minutes away from the sea, but it’s more like 15 minutes away. Cockroaches are everywhere in the hostel, particularly in the d’Howard which is really disturbing. However the staff is pretty nice, and you can work in quiet areas if needed.

Very happy wtih my stay in Nomads! Carolina at the reception was really nice and had the best recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfy and they have the cutest dog

such a great vibe at this hostel! there's a fitness space with activities (I did a free boxing class which I loved) and every night there's a plan to go out. equally if you don't want to, there's a nice social space and cheap bar to just chat with other guests, and an upstairs social space for later evenings. free coffee in the morning, a co working space and lots of people around cleaning and tidying. I really recommend staying here in Salvador

Nomads MultiCultural is a vibrant hostel centrally located in Barra with easy access to beaches and historic sites. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent and attentative to the needs of the guests. A special shout out to Lucas and Haffa. I would definitely stay here again.

Las instalaciones son muy acogedora, el personal amable y lo excelente es que esta a 500 metros de la playa.

I had a beautiful stay in Salvador, and this hostel made it truly special. The home-like atmosphere, social vibe, and incredibly kind staff (every single one of them!) made all the difference. The place is spacious, very clean, and has great facilities. Perfect for meeting people, relaxing, and exploring the city with their recommendations. Highly recommend 💛

Very spacious hostel, several areas to hang out and chill. Very social. Every evening people get together for drinks during happy hour. But also good if you want to sleep because they are very strict about the quiet hours as well.

Such a good hostel! The staff are so much fun and it’s a perfect place to meet friends! Theres always cool activities going on and the location is great. Will definitely be back.

Nice beds. There is a light and a shelf by each bed. Clean and Well equipped hostel. However there was a weird vibe with lots of people in the kitchen and common room blasting loud music and yelling. It was hard to talk to another person in the kitchen, because they were so noisy. There are also a lot of old people staying in the hostel.

One of my favourite ever hostels, genuinely zero complaints. It has such a friendly welcome vibe and I met so many great people there. I'm sure I'll return.

O hostel é ótimo, uma atmosfera sensacional, bem localizado, as pessoas são incríveis. Quando voltar a Salvador, ficarei lá com certeza. Tive um problema de alicação e me derem um downgrade, por erro deles, mas me extornaram 10%.

Excelente lugar, el servicio de atención es muy bueno, las habitaciones con aire acondicionado, camas, sábanas y cobijas limpias, seguridad y ubicación muy cerca de de Porto do Barra. Ambiente con los huéspedes, sin duda lo recomiendo y volvería a hospedarme.

Best hostel ever. Really. This hostel is something truly special. Beyond the great vibe and wild, social atmosphere, it genuinely feels like a home. The team goes above and beyond to make guests feel safe, cared for, and relaxed. As a backpacker, that peace of mind is priceless. I was able to fully enjoy my time in Salvador thanks to them. Amazing staff, strong community spirit, unforgettable experience. Highly recommend.

Nice location, friendly staff and a great social atmosphere. My room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom area was kept clean too. There is a nice social area to meet people and a very cheap bar.

I stayed at Nomads during Carnival and it was honestly the best hostel I’ve ever experienced. The vibe is young, social, and truly community driven. perfect if you want to meet people and enjoy great energy and parties. The volunteer staff is amazing, and the manager genuinely cares about your experience. The location is excellent, close to the best beaches. During Carnival, they guide you through everything and go out together, no better place to stay.

O Nomads é aquele lugar que fica guardado no coração da gente. Vim aqui pela primeira vez em 2022 e voltei em 2026, e a sensação foi a mesma: como se estivesse em casa. Vinícius, O Moqueca e toda a equipe são sempre muito gente boa e acolhedores. Espero não demorar a voltar. Pra quem está procurando um hostel em Salvador, nem precisa continuar buscando porque já vou adiantar seu lado — pode confiar, é esse aqui.
