Bigmoon Hostel

I went there for New Year’s Eve, so price was a little high, but basically still fair. Really good hostel and good to connect to the other guests!

L'hostel est un peu loin du centre (20min à pieds), la chambre n'est pas très propre et les matelas sont extrêmement durs, les salles de bain n'étaient pas propres non plus. Pour le prix, ce n'est pas acceptable.

War nicht viel los nach der Full Moon Party, sonst wunderbar. Schönes Hostel. In Zimmer 4 war die Klimaanlage etwas laut, sonst aber angenehme Betten.

Overall had a great stay here during the new year period. Was very expensive but we were there in the peak season. Definitely on the less social side but had a cute little communal area. Better suited to those wanting a relaxing and comfortable stay. The staff were gorgeous, always so friendly and helped us with bike rentals, lifts, etc. I would have loved if there was a pool so maybe that’s something to consider in the future. The rooms were air conditioned well and everything was clean :)

The Hostel is a little remote, but they are partnered with a scooter rental who will come and pick you up to their store. is a little above the average price. Also for me personally the Hostel is overpriced. I had a great time with the other residents their though.

The price was a bit high for the standards here but everything else was really good. Toilets could be a bit cleaner. Staff and owners are very friendly an kind! Would definitely recommend for people who want to stay on phangan.

Loved Big Moon. It is a short walk to the town but doable and good if you can scooter. My one complaint is that the beds are HARDDDD, genuinely the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever had at a hostel. The vibes are quiet but still social and the property is clean and beautiful. Lots of bugs and mosquitos so bring spray and protection for that.

Wonderful hostel! Extremely clean! Friendly staff, nice stick blankets. Spacious outdoor area. A small kitchen area with some proper plates and cutlery would be helpful. Overall really nice. Thank you!

Aanrader als je zoekt naar een kalmere en toch sociale sfeer. Een goeie thuisbasis. Veel tijd gespendeerd door de overstromingen. Mooi sanitair blok en kamers met airco zijn een plus. Ik mis enkel gordijntjes om wat meer prive te slapen.

This was a great place to stay. I understand it is the off-season and my stay wasn't near a full moon party but I was the only person there. This was fine with me for a night or two as I needed to relax but I would inquire as to how many people are there if you want to book yourself. The staff, facilities and cleanliness were amazing. I would definitely stay again.

It’s a small, family-run hostel with a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. They are so so kind and even brought us to the pier for our ferry. We stayed in a 8-bed dorm but it was separated in the middle so it was like a 4-bed room. The only thing missing was storage lockers for bags. Would definitely stay here again!

Super schönes Hostel, von einer freundlichen Familie geführt, ruhig, natur, schöne Anlage drum herum, Zimmer mit Fenster und hell! Zum runter kommen optimal, man braucht aber schon einen Roller dafür ist es auch leiser! Es waren nicht viele leute da also wer richtig sozialisen will sollte vielleicht ein anderes Hostel wählen! Für mich war es die beste Entscheidung hier zu sein und zu verlängern:)

It was amazing, I liked how the hostel is built, the common area, its at a great place, but what made this place so great were the people! Everyone was so kind and social, exactly how I imagined a hostel❤️

I’ve had a great stay for a couple of weeks at Big Moon Hostel. The facilities are very clean and modern. The rooms are always a good temperature with the AC. The staff will help you with anything you need, whether it’s bike rentals, taxis etc, Amber is always on hand to help which makes everything so much easier. Would definitely recommend staying here, it’s a little quieter than other “party” hostels I’ve stayed in, which is exactly what I wanted, but always plenty of people around...

Extrem freundlich Rezeption und sauberes Hostel!

Perfect Hostel for people who love to Party in koh pangan but prefer a quiete place to stay! The hostel itself is very beautiful, the staff is also super friendly! One downside was that when I booked I had to book in total 5nights in a row. Nevertheless I would definitely recommend this one.

Thanks so much for this incredibly chilled time! If you want to have a more relaxed stay after some days of party or something like this, you‘re here at the right place. Staff was great! We were able to get some scooters at the reception, we got brought to the scooter rental and even for returning them, the staff drove us to the place. If you want a taxi to the pier or something, just ask the staff. Cheaper and on time, better than any taxi! Thanks a lot for this beautiful time!

Ich war in einem 8er Frauenzimmer (Nummer 2). Es hatte eine Trennwand zu den anderen 4 Betten und deshalb war es eigentlich nur ein 4er Zimmer. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Betten sehr bequem und die Decken sehr angenehm. Die Sanitäranlagen waren auch ziemlich sauber. Das Hostel liegt etwas abgelegen, dafür ist man von der schönen Natur umgeben. Zu fuss sind es bis zur Hauptstrasse ca. 10-15 Minuten und zum nahesten Strand ca. 20 Minuten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

it was a really comfortable and nice stay. Rooms and bath are clean you have a lot of space to hang around in the garden which has a tropic vibe. You can do the laundry in the hostel and also rent a scooter from there. You can walk 5-10 min to the street where you can find breakfast or dinner. Also the family owning the hostel where so cute and helpful. Definately would stay again 🙏🏼

We absolutely loved our stay at Bigmoon. The local family who owns it is so sweet and welcoming. The facilities were always kept clean and we loved the open common area. It was very quiet our entire stay and definitely not the most social hostel. My cousin and I ended up being the only two in our room for the two nights we were there. It is a bit off the beaten path but still walkable!

Das Hostel hat eine super Lage. Im Jungle aber nah genug an den beiden Hauptstraßen von denen man in 10-15 Minuten überall ist. Die Atmosphäre ist super entspannt. Man kann hier gut abschalten und findet trotzdem genügend Anschluss um die Insel gemeinsam zu entdecken oder feiern zu gehen. Die Besitzer organisieren alles was man benötigt. Von Taxifahrten über Scooter. Das Hostel ist sehr sauber und die getrennten Duschkabinen geben einem sehr viel Privatsphäre. Die Dorms sind abschließbar...

Very good Hostel! The owner family is super friendly. The onliest problem is that there are no activities, even if there is a big social space in the Hostel, the people are not really really social. But would come here again for sure

Sehr gutes Hostel nicht weit vom Pier, aber trotzdem in ruhiger Lage. Mit dem Roller ist das der perfekte Ort um überall auf die Insel hinzukommen. Wir sind dort auf sehr nette Leute getroffen. Das wsr bereits das zweite mal, das wir hier waren. Der Preis ist jedoch ein wenig hoch.
