Apple Hostels of Philadelphia

The AC in the room didn't work. There's no bar, there's not even any kind of free coffee in the morning. On Friday night, someone from the hostel brought a pack of beers to «celebrate» the beginning of the weekend. Not much organized for the tourists. Vibe is non-existent. It's overall very expensive for what it is.

Not the best hostel. You can just spend your night and leave!

Hostel is divided into two sections, east and west. The east side is just a bunch of corridors, floors, doors and codes, more like a labyrinth and very boring. West is a bit cooler however staff is too loud and if you’re in the room behind the reception will hear every word they say. In general ok as the only hostel in Philly.

They should promote integration more

Eu tinha uma reserva de 11/07 até 14/07. No dia 12 sai pra tomar café e quando voltei minhas coisas não estavam mais no quarto. Quando retiraram minhas coisas do quarto perderam um brinco que tinha um valor sentimental pra mim e ainda me deixaram extremamente estressado em um dia super importante, pois eu estava na cidade pra ver a Beyonce. Ick!! The dorm rooms were very basic, which is completely fine, but they were very MOIST and had a musty/mold smell. The matresses were damp and you woke up wet and smelling of mold. It was very uncomfortable in the rooms. Otherwise the bathrooms were clean, had nice showers and the lobby area was nice and always had people hanging out. But I cannot get over the rooms and would not recommend to stay there because of that in itself.

With this being the only hostel in Philly I thought it would have a good vibe to the place but it really is not a young hostel. What the hostel's description does not say is that it is divided into two buildings, East and West. The West building is where you will have more fun and be able to meet people, whereas the East building (which is where I was put) is really dry and boring so if you're lucky you will have a better time. Location is good with loads of bars and restaurants on your doorstep

Os colchões são fracos, afundam muito. É silencioso. Têm que fazer a própria cama. Cozinha deixa cheiro na entrada do hostel

Perfect location, clean environment, huge kitchen, and it was very social. The only thing is I wish the beds had curtains but I made due with hanging up a sheet

Nice staff that is friendly. Great location . Had free Beer last night .My complaints are probably personal : 1) no elevators and thus it can be quite challenging to carry bags up to the 4th floor! 2) Had an inconsiderate roommate ( 4 bed room ) that kept his phone loud till after 12 MN and later turned on the lights after 1 pm to make his bed . Otherwise, I have stayed here every year for the past 5 years when I visit Philadelphia.

Apple Hostels Philly hits the basics well: prime Old City location, very clean spaces, and friendly, helpful staff. Great budget pick if you want to stay central and comfortable.

I liked that they had a walking tour event the night I stayed there, they also had a free beer event afterwards. It was a great way to meet other travelers in the hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful, I felt safe in the hostel and the room required a code and key card. The hostel does require guests to make their bed and return the bedsheets after their stay. The hostel is not far from the subway or from shops/restaurants.

In Zimmer 4 hochzukommen mit zwei Taschen ist schon ne kleine sportliche Herausforderung aber ansonsten ein feines Hostel. Vor allem die Zimmer schön geräumig Abends ein free Beer - was will man mehr?

This was one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at in the US. Everything is comfortable and well thought out. I was there on a Sunday night during a blizzard and they were giving out free drinks in the lobby. Make sure to put your sheet cover on your bed or they'll leave you a note. The location in the Old City is perfect since it has major attractions, but does not feel that touristy. Is an all around pleasant neighborhood.

Not a very social hostel but it was clean and felt safe.

Decent Hostel. Is a 5 star experience for most people. Per my personal preference I would’ve a much more warm response from the volunteers. It felt like there was a missing feeling of being part of the hostel. The location of the hostel is 100/100. Best place to visit all the major attractions of Philly. Another thing that was missing was a water fountain in hostel B.

I love staying here it’s right in the center of restaurants and interesting places to go to. Hostel was clean staff was wonderful and I loved my stay there.

Great facility and great value. secure, close to plenty of museums and restaurants, friendly walkable area, and a block from a train station. Exactly what youd be looking for in a hostel experience travelling to a new city.

Stayed at the Apple Philadelphia hostel 6 nights. Loved my time. Very clean hostel with lots of amenities. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about Philly. Shout out to Sebastian & Fernanda who were a great assest. Also thanks to all the other hard working staff. Especially Stephanie who is always friendly and loved her walking ghost night tour run by the hostel on Monday & Friday nights. Big kitchen, everything. Rooms & showers clean. Water hot but pressure not great. Close to sights.

My 2nd stay at this hostel. Great location, caring staff, nice facility! Staff is friendly and helpful. Wawa, coffee, great food nearby.

Eu realmente gostei de tudo no hostel. O ambiente era acolhedor e descontraído, perfeito para descansar e conhecer pessoas novas. As instalações eram muito limpas e bem cuidadas, o que deixava tudo mais agradável. À noite, sempre havia bebidas gratuitas, o que tornava os momentos de socialização ainda melhores, e a sinuca disponível era super divertida e um ótimo passatempo. I would definitely stay at Apple Hostels in Philadelphia again. Clean rooms, decorated nicely, activities in which to participate.
