Saigon Style Hostel & Cafe

I booked a female dorm and was put in a mixed dorm without any information about it. I only realized when a man walked into the room. When I told the staff they just said “sorry, we don’t have a female dorm for you”. When I told him I’m not sharing with men, he said I could be refunded for the stay and find somewhere else to stay. Also, the bathroom on my floor wasn’t working. Neither was the one in the reception area.

The staff is really nice and the room was clean, which are the two best points of the place. Otherwise I would definitely advice not to book a private room there because it’s been as noisy as sleeping directly in the street, where there’s an everyday market and a lot of traffic. Windows are not real windows so you can’t close them ! Very very noisy room, you can also hear the bathroom on the other side of the corridor because the ceiling isn’t isolated as well…

The room was on the 5th floor and no elevators in the building. The place is new but everything feels poorly built, the beds are thin metal frames with gaps with the wall so it feels precarious. I had a flight in the evening so I asked if I could take a shower before taking a grab to the airport and the guy straight up said no which had me so confused because there were bathrooms outside the rooms, in the hallway on each floor, this is the only place in all of Vietnam that said no.

Unfortunately it wasn’t clean, I encountered a cockroach in the bathroom and the blanket had no covers.

Beds are comfy, big lockers provided, shampoo provided, close to the walking street. Room is cramped and dark, tiny for 6 people. Bathroom not cleaned often enough, bin not emptied often enough. There was a lady living in the female dorm, which might make some guests uncomfortable. The hostel is close to a food market where there's SO MANY rats, you can even see the rats chilling 20 meters from the common area (but I didn't see any inside the hostel). No atmosphere, no social. Staff were kind.

We booked a private room, and there was a lot of ants, spider webs and holes in the room. The green exit light in the hallway lit up our room at night and you could hear your neighbors and the street outside all to well. The staff was kind and helpful, but the rest I would not recommend.

Sooo loud. I have never had problems with sleeping through noise but i had it at this hostel.

It’s a great hostel, with great staff. The beds are really big, curtains on all sides, the AC works, it’s clean…They give you towel and toothbrush. Whatever you need they will try to offer it to you. And the coffee is really good.

Place was really clean and in a great central location, staff are super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely chill hostel

Fantastic staff, very close to popular sights around ho chi min. Opposite a bus station witch made both onward travel and planing day trips very easy

Good, clean, secure feeling hostel. It has everything you need and even a little extra with complimentary towels, shampoo, etc. Not the most social but ppl were nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend for backpackers staying in Saigon! :)

I stayed for 3.5 weeks and am back again for a few days. The staff are amazing and always have me feel like I’m at home. It’s a nice quiet hostel with great coffee, hot showers, and soft bedding. The only thing to complain about is the other people you’ll be sharing the bathrooms with! People break things, but the staff is always fixing things as soon as they can. I love this place!

Incredible hospitality, Victor in the reception is great. Located in the center of Vietnam. I had to get something shipped from Hoi An and they helped ship it here.

Perfect place to stay for those wanting a more lowkey and chill hostel. Great location, staff were amazing and so generous and helpful, and the room was spacious. Beds had a personal lamp and shelf which were handy. Loved the common space.

I came to this hostel because I wanted somewhere quiet in Ho Chi Minh. I got exactly that. If you want somewhere flash with all the amenities, go somewhere else, but if you're looking for a chill space in an otherwise hectic city, this place is for you.

Great place for the price, clean and in a good central location. Just very loud all day from early morning due to the market next door. Staff were wonderful.

Great hostel! Super friendly staff always welcoming and providing recommendations. Bed was clean, locker was functional fitting my backpack. Good location - literally next door from my bus from Cambodia Would definitely stay again!

Just stayed here for the convenient location. Staff were exceptionally lovely. Ensuite bathroom was clean enough, shared bathroom could definitely be better. Otherwise beds were great. Little to no atmosphere, up to you to make friends. Very chill vibe here. No complaints.
