The Riad Hostel Tangier

Extremely disorganised, The bed in the room that I booked was not cleaned at all, I was downgraded to another room and the lights in my new room were not working. There is no response to messages sent. Only terrace and location is nice, but the hostel facilities and management is terrible.

The time spent here was tainted by the lack of hand soap in the bathrooms. When I told staff the first time the guy seems to be responsive. When the issue wasn’t solved by the next day I asked another staff member was it a Bring Your Own Hand Soap situation (I thought it was funny) he looked at me dead a** and said ‘yes’. There was another guess nearby who didn’t see to mind. I went to another hostel with hand soap for the rest of my time in Tangier.

My room was infested with bed bugs. I woke up at noon and left the hostel

if you like getting bed bug bites, wet sheets, dirty sheets, overall mustyness, a bedroom where anyone from the street can just walk in, unorganized reservations, and still 2€ for towels, this place is for you! Yet staff was nice, rooftop was pretty, and good price. Your choice. Bring flip flops.

THIS PLACE HAS BEDBUGS! Sleeping on the madrasses was like sleeping in a hole. No ventilation in the rooms, very damp and noisy in the rooms. Wouldn't recommend anybody sleeping here.

Cockroaches in the room!!!

Staff is really nice but sadly there’s a bedbugs infestation. I couldn’t stay the night and had to go somewhere else. I didn’t get refunded for the night.

Very bad hostel, I would not recommend at all, bad attitude, price not suitable for the place and really bad breakfast

Worst hostel experience of my life. The dorms and bathrooms were disgusting and humid. The bathroom was placed inside the dormes and had no ventilation so all humidity from people showering ended up in the dorm, which had no fan or ventilation either. The bathroom had a door without any kind of sound isolation so the whole dorm woke up early to someone sh***ing loudly. There were no doors between the common area and the dorms so it was quiet only between 2 and 6 am. We left after one poor night.

Honestly. Stay away. The rooms are dirty, the doors don’t lock, there is only a few small cabinets to lock away bags and people come in your room randomly in the middle of the night. We stayed 1 night before moving to another hostel. Everyone looks miserable here, which isn’t surprising considering the state of the place.

Loved it! Best atmosphere ever. The services were very good, the breakfast super! Is located in the Medina so the position is good. The staff was very polite, always available and smiling xx

One of the best hostels I stayed at in Morocco. I ended up extending for 8 nights instead of 2 like I had planned initially 😃. Super pleased with it from pretty much all perspectives. Security , cleanness to the very friendly and helpful stuff. Zac and Ismael sharp and always willing to have a nice chat or help with whatever was needed. I was very impressed . I will definitely recommend it for short or even longer stay., Cheers guys! Hopefully see you at some point in time again. 🫶🤘�...

I really enjoyed my time in the hostel! The hostel took the concerns and feedback of some visitors serious and made some changes in its staff. The atmosphere was really good and the staff very helpful.

Nice hostel, good location, good breakfast - only problem was they made me pay the prepayment - that I had already done via Hostelworld - again. So in the end, it wasn’t that cheap.

Nice stay in tangier

Diese Dachterrasse ist unmatched. So so entspannt da oben! Alles andere war auch sehr zufriedenstellend. Der Hostelangestellte war Sehr cool drauf und nett.

Top Hostel, alle super freundlich. Mit sehr schöner Dachterasse!

Très bel auberge! La chambre possède les équipements nécessaires. Il manque un peu de place pour ranger ses affaires. Le petit déjeuner typique est très bon!

I would not recommend this hostel. For one it states it has parking. It really does not, and staff was unhelpful finding it. The bathroom was moldy, the mattresses should've been replaced years ago, the rooms don't lock.

The actual building and atmosphere from the other travellers was nice but I was extremely unimpressed by the inappropriate and unprofessional treatment and interactions from the main Host/ worker. I think his name was Khalid. He was always getting high, drunk in evenings, pressuring guests to get drunk with him, yelling at the female workers and his energy made me and many others feel uncomfortable. He was flirting with alot of the female guests- with me from the very beginning- and very rude

The hostel was great and the travellers there as well. Khalid who works there was an amazing and entertaining company as well.

I had an amazing stay at The Riad Hostel in Tangier! The place is beautiful, clean, and full of Moroccan charm. But what truly made my experience special was the hospitality. A big thank you to Khalid, Hamid, and Nour for welcoming me with such kindness and warmth — you made me feel at home. If you’re planning a trip to Tangier, I highly recommend staying here! Jalil

L’architecture de ce Riad est juste magnifique . La configuration des dortoirs et douches sont au top mais malheureusement trop d’humidité comme dans toute la médina. Atmosphère irrespirable pour les asthmatiques par exemple .. J’ai dormi dans le Bhou du second étage : c’était parfait .
