+ Buena ubicación, cerca al puerto.
- La toalla me dejó restos por todo el cuerpo. Lo encuentre un poco sucio, y excesivo el precio vs calidad.
+ Es liegt nahe am Hafen.
- Die Betten sind eine Vollkatastrophe. In der Dusche ist überall Schimmel. Der Billardtisch ist schräg, man kann darauf nicht spielen. Die Damen an der Rezeption haben die Polizei gerufen, weil wir auf der Terrasse einen Joint geraucht haben. Extrem unfreundlich. Als die Polizei da war, hat die Rezeptionistin versucht, zu erwirken, dass wir eine Strafe bekommen. Der Polizei war das allerdings egal. Sie hat mich angeschrien und behauptet, ich dürfe die Straße, in der das Hostel liegt, nie wieder betreten. Lächerlich. Außerdem hat sie heimlich Fotos von mir gemacht, um diese der Polizei als „Beweis“ vorzulegen. Macht einen großen Bogen um diesen Laden!
+ De locatie
- Er was geen gemeenschappelijke ruimte om met andere reizigers te praten. De bar was gedurende mijn hele verblijf gesloten. De kamer is niet schoongemaakt gedurende mijn hele verblijf. Het was in een kleine donkere steeg. Zeker geen aanrader. Bedden waren erg oncomfortabel. Onhygienisch. Gordijn was geen echt gordijn, meer een dun doek. Geen plek om je spullen neer te leggen.

- Llego a hacer el check in a las 14:30 y todavia estaba la cama sin hacer, sin cortinas, sin lockers. Baños sin limpiar desde hace dias.
I’ve had better sleeping experiences on the street. The mattress was awful, there was around 3 slats in the bed so the mattress was basically on the floor. AC unit was in between a bed so when the person was asleep with there curtain across they were the only ones who benefitted. Would prefer a duvet to the fake plastic blanket. Dirty as well and no atmosphere. Worst hostel I’ve stayed in. Do not stay here.
Not sure how this hostel has such good reviews. The place didn’t feel clean, the curtain had mould on it, it was so loud at night & the windows don’t close properly so bugs can get in. You can definitely get much nicer accommodation on the island for the price.
De receptioniste was vanaf moment 1 onaardig. De kamer is niet op de zelfde plek als de receptie en communal area. We moesten ergens trap op en werden op een kamer gezet waar het raam niet dicht kon. Uiteindelijk om andere kamer gevraagd. (Die eerst niet af was en nu ineens wel kon? )Er was verder helemaal niemand in het hostel voor mn gevoel wat het een beetje grimmig maakte. Wel goede locatie en het ziet er leuk uit bij de receptie maar daar is ook alles mee gezegd. Kamers hebben niet die vibe

+ Good AC and fan, the bed was ok.
- We know that it is a hostel located in the busy part of Koh Tao, but the noise in the evening/night made it difficult to sleep. One thing is the street noise - can hardly blame that on the hostel, but the rooms are very close and private rooms are next to dorms. People were very noisy, coming home at 3-4AM yelling in the corridor and hanging out there instead of using the common area/bar downstairs. Maybe the hostel should make some posters about being quiet after 10PM near the rooms. It made it very uncomfortable to stay there. The room was not clean upon arrival - especially the bathroom: There were used razors and used soaps from previous guests and the floor was dirty. The towels were almost useless since they left pieces of fabric all over your body after use - we did ask for new ones, but they weren't any better. Fridge was absolutely disgusting and smelled so bad that we didn't use it at all. Compared to the price (at least in high season - almost 2000 bath per night) I would expect it to be at least clean. Would not recommend unless you're the hostel-type who enjoys a party scene.

Amazing hostel! The vibe is very relaxed and social. The staff Tash and Eva are so friendly. Beds are super comfy and social area has a lot to offer. Cocktails are amazing as well. Would definitely stay again when I come back.

Tiki Tribe was a great place to stay! The staff were genuinely friendly and made a real effort to get to know everyone. The atmosphere was very welcoming and made it easy to meet people. The dorms were clean and well looked after, and the beds were comfortable, which makes a big difference after a long day out. Overall, a really solid choice if you’re looking for a social, relaxed place with good vibes, great people and amazing cocktails.
Amazing hostel. Staff is really friendly and getting everyone together. Lovely dogs around and it just feels relaxed and a good vibe. Extended twice 🫶🏻🥰
Where should I begin? I’m so happy we found this hostel. We were really taken care of and felt completely at home. Thanks to Jack, Natascha, Eva, and Milo—they made our stay absolutely perfect. Laundry service, happy hour at the bar, dancing a couple of times a week, and a cozy, chill vibe. I can highly recommend it if you’re looking for a social and relaxed hostel.

Clean and cozy setting. Bedroom had fans and ac but was still a bit hot at night. Lovely led bedlamps though! Towel provided, mattresses not extraordinary but comfortable enough.
Very Good Place to stay at. Aisha was the best volunteer, helping with everything. Would come again
Very close to the pier which is handy. Theres loads of good places to eat around here and the staff are really nice. The bar downstairs does really good cocktails - salted caramel espresso martini is amazing!!! 🤤 Love it here! 10/10
Got a bed with the air conditioner directly above me so it’s light was on me all night and I was freezing cold. Probably a different story if you get a bottom bunk

Fantastic hostel. Such friendly, helpful staff, AMAZING cocktails and everything you’d want in terms of hostel facilities. Worth noting that this is a taxi or bike ride away from the main “social” area of Koh Tao, but still easy to get to and in a way it meant we had the best of both worlds of koh Tao. Will be back if back in Koh Tao
Tiki was terrific! The beds were super comfy, and location was perfect, but the vibe was what really made this place great. The common area was the best for just hanging out (also has a bar), and the staff were incredibly friendly and fun. Natasha specifically, genuinely cared about me having a good experience by showing me around giving me great recs, I couldn’t be more grateful. 10/10 stay
personally really liked the place, since there is always a party somewhere in koh tao it's nice to come back to this hostel where it's just a chill vibe. beds are good, showers are great, a/c does it's job. if I needed anything I just spoke with manager natasha and if it was possible she would arrange it. Very accommodating manager and easily approachable.
Not amazing but I got the whole dorm for myself so I was happy. But I can really imagine 4 people in a small room like that

I loved my stay at tiki tribe! Me and my friend messed something up with our booking & the manager Natasha helped us out and made everything so easy for us. The cocktails are nice, the lobby is fun to hang out in & the overall vibe is friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again! ❤️
