The vibe and coziness of this place is outstanding and the communal spaces are the best I’ve ever seen. However the kitchen space was just impossible to cook in between 4pm and 9pm ish as it was so just so small for the number of people. Also people really didn’t clean up after themselves well enough the sinks and drains were full of food. Also there are not near enough bathrooms for the number of people, you couldn’t shower or use sink when you wanted even during the middle of the day.

No fysical keys, adding stress to your stay to keep your battery alive. Due to the more "fancy" feeling, the social hostel atmosphere vanishes and everyobody is more on their own. Very good facilities and very nice hotel-like experience. If that what their after, they succeeded. But hotel != hostel.

Stylish hostel with an excellent location in Central CHC. Common areas are very nice and the adjacent bar has a great chill vibe in the afternoon with live music. Room was comfortable but the bathroom had hardly any hooks and the shower did not drain properly. Also the check in via tablet and room key via app is very time consuming and frustrating. They really need to give out room cards like everyone else. Staff was helpful when we got locked out, but keys would have solved the problem.

The kitchen was so overcrowded that I didn't bother to cook because you physically could not get in there. Also felt very non social, everyone just hanging by themself in common areas with headphones on. Besides this very fresh, clean, good location near bus stop. Would not stay again though

Great hotel with bunk beds. Not a great hostel. Great location, great facilities and very clean and things. However, it is not a hostel as I would think of it. Absolutely 0 atmosphere or social scene. It is way too big for that. Staff were totally unhelpful and stand off ish. One small kitchen for that sized hostel is absolutely crazy as well. They have a restaurant and bar downstairs so from a business perspective I understand the small kitchen to make people buy food in the restaurant.

Very clean. A little too technologically advanced: people couldn’t figure out how to use the elevators (you have to use their app). I don’t like having to use an app to do everything. The facilities were clean, and the rooms were spacious. Two ensuite bathrooms for 8 people in my room was perfect. Good atmosphere, with a semi social bar downstairs.

Cool Hostel with comfy Beds. Cool Games, Pool and socioable. Showers and Kitchen get dirty fast. Mains and USB in the bed cabins in the dorms but no shelf to store your gadgets during charging. Lockers are pretty small so all backpacks are somewhere in the dorm. Good location, near by ghe main bus station and all cool things within walking distance

One of the cleanest and most impressive hostels I have ever stayed in. Extremely efficient and very comfortable rooms and communal spaces. The problem was the kitchen - far too small for the amount of guests trying to cook there, lacking basic facilities (no oven) and generally not brilliant. Other than that a wonderful hostel to stay in.

the property is lovely and modern but its not the homiest and hard ton make connections with others there. Feels more like a big hotel than a hostel.

I arrived with all my bags and tried to call the elevator (which has a separate button on the check-in website). That did not work and there was also no staff in sight for help. Eventually after several tries it worked. The room door also did not open on the first try. I don't understand why it is made so unnecessarily complicate...

Very good place, confortable, the location is perfect, with the bus station and a super market right next to it, the common spots are very cozy.

j'ai fait des 10aines d'auberges différentes et celle ci est de loin la meilleure que je n'ai jamais fait ! les chambres sont grandes et propres, les espaces communs sont agréables et bien organisés, vous pouvez profitez de cours de yoga ou de soirée cinéma, l'emplacement est IDEAL!! en plein centre et a 2 pas du stade de rugby!! je recommande ++++++ cette auberge

One of the nicer hostels I have stayed in, and I have stayed in quite a few!

GORGEOUS hostel, the rooms are big and absolutely stunning, the en-suite bathrooms are so nice and feel very clean. The kitchen, however, is very small and looked clean at a glance, but you could see that everything used needed a good wash beforehand. This hostel also had sooo much space, people were nice, but because it was so big and there was so much space, everyone found a spot to be alone and on their phone, so it was an odd atmosphere.

Sehr modernes Hostel, Zimmer und Badezimmer sind top modern und sauber. Küche ist ein Witz für die große Anzahl der Zimmer, selber kochen ist fast unmöglich. Zugang zum gesamten Hostel nur über Smartphones, eher nervig als praktisch.

This is one of the coziest and cleanest hostels i’ve stayed at in 3 months of travelling! The female ensuite room was enormous and had 2 bathrooms. The building is pretty big with so much common area space across the floors, and it just had a very nice vibe. 10 minutes to the main streets and riverside etc :)

One of the best hostel I’ve stayed in! It is super clean and modern. The dorm rooms are spacious and there is a larger locker under the bed. There were two en-suites in our 8 bed dorm. Neither of the en-suites had locks which was really strange. The kitchen was so clean and wasn’t too busy during meal times. It wasn’t a very social hostel as a lot of families/older people stay here too. I would recommend!

Possibly the best hostel in New Zealand

Clairement l'hostel le mieux équipé et le plus moderne que j'ai fait ! Il y a un espace pour faire du sport, plusieurs terrasses et salon, librairie, salle zen... la cuisine est super bien équipée, c'était vraiment agréable ! Par contre ça reste un énorme hostel, on est loin du côté familial et convivial

10/10 staff is awesome!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in, the rooms are extremely clean and each bed has its own curtain/plug etc so you feel self contained and private. Kitchen is also one of the nicest I’ve seen. Didn’t try the social events but was quite easy to meet people.

really great hostel! feels like you’re staying in a hotel. the beds are pretty spacious and comfy with charging ports/lights and curtains. Lots of social spaces and activities put on by the hostel. would definitely stay here again
