Nest Beach Club

First of all, we really enjoyed our time at Nest Hostel. However, we unfortunately experienced some issues with bed bugs. On our second night, we woke up to find bed bugs in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful — they cleaned our clothes, treated our belongings, and gave us a refund for the night. We hoped that resolved the issue, but on our last day we found a large bed bug on the wall next to one of our beds. As we were leaving very early, we didn’t have time to inform the staff in person, but we sent them an email about the issue. It has now been 10 days, and we still haven’t received a response. This is disappointing — not only because we had to pay to have our clothes cleaned ourselves, but also because we wanted to make sure they were aware so they could address the problem properly. The hostel has a very social atmosphere and the staff are kind, but overall it felt quite unclean, and we also experienced some issues with the locks. Unfortunately, we would not recommend staying here until they improve their cleanliness and resolve the bed bug problem. We booked through Hostelworld and our trip was cancelled after so we could not write our review there. But we stayed from the 24-30 march 2026.

I stayed here for one night and was not impressed. The dorm toilets were disgusting. The food was overpriced and didn’t taste great. I’m pretty sure I have bites from bedbugs. They advertise a Sunday roast online but no longer run this. Fine if you want a grimey party hostel but not for me.

Only downside is 2 doors down from me had bedbugs which freaked me out a bit and I drank vodka at the jungle party and was very unwell the next few days after, I spoke to others & they also had a similar experience after drinking vodka on the jungle party night. A girl posted a tiktok about it and they made her take it down.

Wouldn’t recommend here. Rooms were full of bugs and bed bugs, the AC didn’t work and was leaking water on our floor. Nestival was alright but nothing special unless you were on drugs. I’d stay at best jungle or anywhere else where there is working AC.

Location good for best but otherwise quite far from other places. We did have bed bugs in our room and lots of ants

my bedsheets and everything were stained from paint and dirty when i checked in. some of our friends got bedbugs from the beds. there is a code on the doors to the rooms, which they don't change, so anyone can get into the room if they know the code. internet doesn't work in the rooms. the only place wifi works is in the restaurant. the food was good, but me and our group of friends got food poisoning from the food

De badkamer was echt heel vies. Je moest letterlijk douchen in de wc. Ook was er een week voordat ik er kwam bedwantsen. Je hebt geen wifi op de kamer. Het hostel ligt vrij afgelegen, 30 minuten lopen over het strand om in het dorpje te komen.

In general not bad, but a giant minus there are bed bugs😭🥶 and very humid in the room, you can not normally breathing. Unfortunately I left with some health issues from this place. I didn’t read reviews before, so I would recommend you not to make the same mistake and not to stop there.

So so so dirty!!! Not secure, bed bugs, loads of bugs biting you all the time. Toilets were disgusting. No signal on the island and WiFi is only available at the bar not in the rooms. Stay somewhere else and walk here for the events. Only good things about this hostel is Nestival, the bar and the location on the beach. The events and staff are fantastic though

Arriving at this hostel, I was immediately impressed by its beach front location. However, unfortunately my initial high hopes were soon replaced by despair. It all started after ordering some food from the restaurant, where as well as the food being underwhelming to say the least, I was shocked to see literal rats running around by the chefs feet, where the food was being prepared. Things didn’t get much better once I was in bed, as I soon discovered that there was no WiFi nor 4G anywhere in the room, and even worse - no working AC. Waking up in a pool of my own sweat, I was then suprised to discover a very worrying number of bites all over my legs and feet. Some further investigation on Google (not in the room due to a lack of WiFi) drew bed bugs to my attention. My suspicions were confirmed on night 3 when, after being kept awake by a pair of rats scurrying around above my head, I managed to catch a bed bug in the act of climbing into my mattress. I briefly considered asking the reps to let me move beds, but considering the fact that they wouldn’t even fill up the “free” water tank, I thought I’d rather face the bugs, than their rude, arrogant attitude. Leaving was sucb a relief that I was even looking forward to getting on a 14 hour sleeper bus. Overall, if you want minimal sleep, and to gain some biting insects following you around then choose Nest

The place is riddled with bed bugs at the moment, I informed staff but could only move to a bed in the same dorm, the sheets were not changed or cleaned right away and the mattress was not moved outside.

There were bed bugs, I got severely bitten by bed bugs. There is almost no water in the washroom and no wifi in the rooms either.

Bed bugs!! We had such a good time here over Christmas, the staff are really amazing, but unfortunately, one of our group woke up with bed bug bites. We emailed to tell the hostel and they have just never replied. The showers are cold (which is expected on an island), but sometimes just don’t work at all. The bathrooms and rooms get pretty dirty very easily, so the rooms don’t feel the cleanest (especially if you count the bedbugs). I would definitely go to nestival but stay at Mad Monkey!

Volunteers are friendly. Music is playing constantly so pretty noisy to sit at the bar. Food is good. BUT HYGIENE: I got BED BUGS, even in the new facility (“Jungle”) Now I’m covered in bites for the next 3 weeks after sleeping only 3 hours in the bed. I would advise to go to Fat Monkey (2 mins walking further) and just chill at Nest or do the parties.

Staff were blunt at best, poorly organised. Rooms were okay, but showers were no stronger than a dribble and cold (despite the room not being included in rooms that still only have cold water), our toilet had a chunk missing from the seat. A couple of other people in our room woke up with bed bug bites & there was no working aircon.

Not clean. The bathrooms are old and need fixing. Shower pressure is really low. I asked for a towel and it had huge holes in it. A couple of people told me there were bed bugs as well. I would also suggest to keep your shoes with you at all times as mine and a few other people in my dorm had theirs stolen. There are other hostels further up that seemed to be newer so you can always stay there and come to the Nest for socialising and nestival.

Pls stay elsewhere. Room was a 10 minute walk into the jungle half of which is not lit, rooms don’t have locks. Felt on edge doing this walk alone at night. Room was dingy and dark. Extremely basic bathrooms, very dirty-were not cleaned at all during my stay. Outside of nestival, no social atmosphere. Got bitten by bedbugs which I was told by staff was common (no apology really or refund), judging by the standards I doubt anything will be done about the situ. Staff were lovely but that was it.

toilet exploded on me and the staff just laughed, they were reluctant to wash my dirty clothes from the toilet explosion and then a staff member verbally abused me when i tried to ask where they were. rats everywhere, monkey stole my breakfast and bed bugs. constantly power outages! nestival is 10/10 though

The party was great, the room not. No electricity nor water or it was brown water. However I can deal with this part so far. The bedbugs and the big fat sugar lee hooper rat we had in our room made this the worst stay in over 5 months of travelling. I am very easy going dude, but this goes beyond all.

It’s really dirty. There’s mould everywhere (in the curtains & bathroom) and we got bed bugs there. The location is nice, directly at the beach but still wouldn’t recommend!

Amazing hostel for a great party atmosphere - make sure you go on a Saturday for nestival! Great value food menu and lovely staff. Only downside is the cleanliness of the rooms, 1 out of 4 of our group got bedbugs

Bedbugs, Våd taske, dårlig lugt.. 👎 Vi sov her kun en enkelt nat, da vi opdagede at værelset havde bed bugs... Personalet på Nest beach club var flinke, gav os pengene tilbage og en tøjvask, men skaden var sket. Da vi forlod stedet opdagde vi at airconditionen havde dryppet vand og vores taske, som lå i det låste skab på værelset var gennemblødt.. Ellers udadtil fint sted ned til vandet, men et mareridt at bo her. Der lugter elendigt de fleste steder, også når man sidder i loungeområdet og prøver at nyde sin mad.

AVOID! BED BUGS! Please read. Worst experience I’ve had at a hostel 6 months into this trip— bed bugs, rude staff, and extortion. Check-in was at 2pm so we waited hours until then and when we went to the room and they were still “painting” had to wait until 4pm to get in. All the mattresses were outside the dorm covered in plastic. They were “painting” the room, but when we went in, nothing was painted. Saw a spray can for bugs and the owner closed the door of the other room when he saw us. Other travelers had bed bug bites from another room. So many reviews said bed bugs from months in the past but we were like there’s no way they have them still. They do, they always will. Their process for exterminating them is flawed, I’ll explain later. Also the staff here was so weird. I’ve stayed at over 70 hostels/homestays and the staff here would be the weirdest. They all acted like they were too good to speak with anyone, and gave short responses especially the shorter guy with the glasses and the Brit named Ollie. Each member of the staff gave different stories, we never have bed bugs, we had them yesterday but not today, and we had them but now it’s the cleanest place on the island. It’s proper practice to let guests leave if you have bed bugs, but when we tried to leave they wouldn’t give us our passports back until we paid for the nights booked.

Unfortunately full of bedbugs. Apart from that a lovely place with good parties.
