+ location was good. doing the self check-in after the reception closed was fairly easy and well guided.
- when i checked the bottom of my bed upon my arrival around midnight bloody red spots spiced up with other disgusting trash is not what i wanted to see. it was late, i was tired, i’m stupid. i stayed for the night. when the receptionist arrived to work the next morning they first told me how sorry they are. receptionist said they take the bed bugs -matter very seriously. then they told me there is no way this issue can be related to bed bugs because ”we don’t have bed bugs”. then the receptionist told me this is what wood as a material naturally does (a magical piece of processed plywood bleeding…. red blood? wait, WHAT?!?) as i had paid for two nights and there was no refunds available, i first considered staying for both of them….. but there was no proper check for the bed (or any other beds for that matter). also, the hostel kindly moved me, not to another room, but to another bed that was clean but also right next to the first one and in the same wooden bed-structure. with a big smile on their face the receptionist yapped about how they had closed hostel for two days couple of months ago to check if there was bed bugs and had found *nothing* — all this while we were standing right in front of *something*. when i asked how i’m supposed to act if i get bites or see bed bugs, i got told again: ”we don’t have bed bugs”. i decided it was better to leave. for me the actions talk louder than words and this for sure didn’t feel like either me or the matter was taken seriously. maybe i am overly scared, even hysterical? you can have a look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

- Only the reception is on second floor and the room was on 5th!!! Floor without any warning or elevator!!! Horrible! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
- hostel potwierdził moją rezerwację w godzinach późniejszych ale nie otrzymałam żadnej instrukcji zameldowania ani nie zdołałam się w żaden sposób skontaktować z obsługą. Oczekiwałam w holu niemal do północy, ale nikt z personelu nie pojawił się na miejscu. Byłam zmuszona szukać noclegu gdzie indziej w środku nocy, co stanowiło olbrzymi problem

- Do hostel, paguei a diferença para ficar em um quarto com banheiro individual, e no último dia disseram que teria de ir para quarto coletivo, não gostei, e não teve acordo, arrumei minha mala e fui embora.
+ Clean and central.
- Party within the building till 4 AM not letting me sleep (bed frame trembling and windows rattling on top of noise), complaining to management, and being borderline gaslighted with denials a party ever happened and that no one else complained, heating switched off and internal temperatures around 13 degrees to save money due to hostel beibg empty, the so-called "capsules" being squecky bunkbeds with horrible mattresses, hospital white lights, and small curtains that wont really give you privacy (3 inch open gap), no curtains on the room, funky smells everywhere (not unclean, just weird), no atmo at all, no activities, staff is never at reception at the time they should be, leaving awfully ealry (around lunchtime rather than 1730), just two showers for a whole landing, small and tacky common areas, towell provided is actually a hand towel and then staff is away and you cant shower when you arrive....I can keep going, this was horrific.
+ Toilets clean. The young man on my first night was lovely.
- . When 2 women took over they were very abusive. I was ridiculed for being on insulin and stared at and treated badly. "Rooms were tiny and claustrophobic. They were the size of coffins. The communal area was tiny. Long walks up and down several flights if stairs to the facilities. Very bad value. The entry code was impossible to follow and I had to run up and down several flights of stairs to allow in customers who were stranded outside. And yet they were nasty to me. The worst part was the verbal abuse and relentless staring. The atmosphere was very tense and unpleasant generally because of the pack em in mentality. This is out of season. God knows what peak season is like.

Perfect for my simple needs. I like non-party hostels-quite-and central. This hostel meets all three. The kitchen is amazing. Really nice appliances.
Very very good experience! The hostel was so cute and it was clean and tidy everywhere. Not a party hostel or very social but all the people we talked with were nice!
Fantastic Hostel! The rooms were clean and loved the curtains. They also provided towels and the showers had a towel warmer. Was a smaller place but was cute and comfy. Everything was clean and you could not get a better location! Would highly recommend, especially to solo female travelers!
I really liked this hostel! Felt very safe, the location is perfect! Good value for price and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend

The space was impeccably clean and felt very thoughtfully put together, everything you need in a hostel. A couple of things for future travelers to note: Accessibility: There is no lift, so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with limited mobility as there are several flights of stairs to climb. Minor Detail: The shower was a little slow to drain, but it didn't impact my stay at all. Overall, I had a great stay and would happily return. Thank you for a lovely first visit to Riga and La...

+ The hostel is centrally located within walking distance to all the main attractions as well as the bus stop for the airport bus (approx 5mins walk). The hostel was very clean - rooms, bathrooms etc. I liked that each bed had a privacy curtain. The lady on reception was also super lovely and helpful.
- Be prepared for all the stairs.
