i just have to say that maybe inspect all the beds because i think i was bitten by bedbugs for one night

We had a very disappointing experience at STAY Hybrid Youth Hostel. Upon arrival, we encountered bedbugs in the rooms, which made the accommodation clearly unsuitable. Although the issue was reported immediately, the proposed solution (changing rooms) did not clearly address the seriousness of the problem. We felt pressured to accept inadequate solution so we had to arrange alternative accommodation for our group ourselves. We repeatedly requested a refund for the nights we did not stay. Follow-up communication is very poor, with no meaningful effort to resolve the situation or even provide proper documentation for payments. Due to hygiene concerns and unprofessional handling, we cannot recommend this place!

I found bed bugs in the room and the bedding I was given appeared unclean. I have photos and videos documenting what happened. If the issue is not addressed, I will consider taking further action through the appropriate channels. The first time they gave me a room that was in poor condition because of bed bugs. After cleaning, they gave me another room and tried to address the issue, but the situation was still very unpleasant. I have documented everything, and my lawyer is aware of the situation.”

I booked a bed at Stay Hybrid Youth Hostel for Mar 1–2. After booking, I discovered multiple recent reviews reporting bed bugs, fleas, unsanitary bathrooms, bodily fluids in common areas, and unsafe conditions. I do not feel safe staying at this property. The staff declined my request for a free cancellation despite these serious health and safety concerns. I strongly advise other travelers to avoid this hostel until these issues are resolved.

There are bed bugs in the place, or rather, in the Johnson At first, they made me go to a messy room, and when I went to him, he pretended that I had to tidy the bed and the furniture. They are incredibly deceitful. I have pictures and videos of everything, and I will post them on all the websites. I have over 100,000 Instagram followers. area. Those who don't like it are trying to get rid of these insects by using the air conditioner in the room. They trick you into thinking it's lit, so when you turn it on, it only burns for a few seconds and doesn't last three days. I wake up shivering in the cold in the room. They made me book through their website, I think because they don't want me to share what I see. I will be posting videos about bed bugs.

The accurate name should be STAY AWAY! This is the dirtiest accomodation I've ever stayed in out of India. Surely the worst accomodation in Greece beyond competition. The public areas were barely cleaned or were not cleaned at all in spite of complaints. The furniture was broken. The carpet in the first private room was so dirty, that it was hard to tell whether its colour was red or black. It had stains of probably pee. The bed was broken. The smell was extremely stincky beyond bareable. The bathroom was very moldy. We requested to change a room because staying there was impossible for humans. The receptionist honestly said, that not all the rooms are occupied, but that others were not cleaned. It was quite weird, as it was night time. Don't they normally clean rooms upon check out? It seems that at least our "clean" room, the sticky floors in the common areas and the dirty common kitchen - were not cleaned at all. At last we were "upgraded" to the "suite". It might be referred to as a "suite" only in a refugee camp. The "suite" was a big dirty room with moldy bathroom and torn sofas featured clear stains of white sperms... Yet it was slightly more bareable than the previous room. As we were so tired and the booking was non refundable, we stayed there at last. It seems that the local mosquitos enjoyed the humidity and mold, so I was biten at night like never before. The "common kitchen" was a bad joke. It had almost no cutlery or cups. It consisted mainly microwave with no possibility to cook as it had no stovetop. On the fridge there was junk from previous guest including used chewing gum. They remained there for few days till the end of our staying. So that's how the kitchen was "cleaned". The guests consisted a lot of drugies. Some slept at night in the common areas. Some complained about bed bugs. Fortunately, we did not encounter them.

It is unbelieveable that such a filthy place exists in a developed western European country and even charges money for level that would be considered as too low even for a refugee camp or homeless shelter. The rest of the accomodations we had stayed in Greece so far were normally very clean, so filthy STAY was a great disappointment. Please STAY AWAY!

The property was okay, but it was not clean. In the bathroom was the bucket which was used in the mornings to clean but the bucket was standing there all day long and it was smelling badly. Then they used the same water again to clean the for so the whole bathroom was smelling. Besides that they had bedbugs.

DO NOT STAY HERE we got eaten alive by bugs, had to sleep in the common area, beds were absolutely disgusting and the aircon does not turn on till the morning, window open all night did not sleep at all very loud outside with mosquitoes of some sort swarming us all night. felt like a nightmare and thought i had bedbugs, maybe i do. unless you wish to experience a slice of hell dont even think about it

I stayed in a private room at stay. I have dozens of bites all over my body, still itching like hell even one week after staying there. Looking at examples on google, the bites seem like they're from either fleas or bedbugs. I was promised that the rooms are clean and even new after renovation. Obviously they're not. The room was covered in carpet and it smelled a funny, I guess it's my fault for not taking it seriously enough. The hostel's location was good but it's obviously not worth it.

Dated wall decoration, poor condition furniture, bathroom doors broken, and worst of all got bitten by bedbugs all over. Avoid it unless those things seem positive to you.

I didn't like the bed bugs.

The toilet doors was broken, and there was feces in many of the toilets. Not very impressed by any of the toilet in any of the floors... When we checked in, the refrigerator was full of moldy milk and cheese. Thats was gone the next day, so that's good. Our room was nice. Did not find any bedbugs and the room was clean. Not very soundproof rooms, but there was not much noise to complain about. Really liked the roofterrace, comfy seats and good view!

Bed Bugs 🫣 I got over 60 bites on my whole body. Couldn’t sleep was always anxious and tried to kill them. Not I am even afraid that I have them on my trip. Room 306 Bed G The staff was mostly friendly and cleaned the bed again but guess you can barely do anything against these monsters.

Siaubingas hostelis, kuriame pilna blakių (bed bugs!!!). Aš ir mano draugai kiekvieną naktį buvome kandžiojami. Hostelio savininkas ir recepcijos darbuotojai niekaip nepadėjo išspręsti šios problemos. Teigė, jog išvalys kambarius, bet nuo to "valymo" blakės niekur nedingdavo!!! Virtuvėje nėra jokių stalo įrankių. Tualetuose ir dušuose pusiau permatomos kabinos, o jais naudojasi ir vyrai, ir moterys. NEREKOMENDUOJU rinktis šio hostelio!!!

There were bed bugs on two floors at least in the rooms, I need to get a proper cleaning for my stuff now. They said, they are mosquitoes, but we showed them the photo. They still denied them.

I've recently travelled around Europe and this was by far the worst. Bed bugs plagued me, I was lied to and told to turn lights off when I couldn't see in the kitchen. I checked out early with no chance of any refund. I will never return here. Avoid.

Bed bugs, bed bugs everywhere! Even though my body was covered in huge, painful bites, the staff reassured me for days that those are just mosquitos. Finally on the third sleepless night I found the bed bugs, took pictures, and even like this the staff did nothing, I had nowhere to sleep. After this I asked for help, but no help eighter with "debuging" all my stuff...I obviously asked for refund (at least), no answer...

After reading recent reviews about bedbugs and poor hygiene I completely freaked out and literally *begged* them to cancel my stay two days in advance. They couldn't care less and I lost my money. My planned stay was during a weekend all the hostels were fully booked so I'm certain that they would have found someone to replace me. I ended up staying at a different hostel so I can't say anything about the place itself. I'm just disappointed at how insensitive and inflexible they were. I suggest carefully reading the recent reviews before booking.

staff was very nice, but im really terrified that they had bed bugs and im sure the staff knew it ..and STILL put me into this room. Most horrific experience ever, unfortunately...eventhough staff was kind. but didnt prevent it from happening.

seemed to have a small bed bug problem in my dorm, but they moved and upgraded me before i even noticed. overall i felt safe and enjoyed my stay

Había chinches en algunas camas y picaron mucho a varias personas. A pesar de comentarlo no daban solución. Algunas habitaciones tenían demasiadas camas y éramos demasiadas personas en una sola habitación.

I had bed bugs in my room and when I asked to move to another room they denied my request and said there are no bedbugs (while another room on the same floor was being chemically cleaned for bedbugs and everyone could see it) and also claimed that my bites were from mosquitoes... I was asking multiple times and finally moved to another room

BEDBUGS, BEDBUGS, BEDBUGS! I understand these things happen, but it was the response of the manager that blew me away. Even though we had photographic proof, she dismissed us saying “how do I know it’s true?”… my back is evidence that it’s true! She then stated if I’m not happy I can leave the hostel. They refused any sort of assistance, instead putting myself and the other girls who were also infected by bedbugs into another room…yup, more bedbugs! More than the original room. Terrible attitude

BEDBUGS - Super dirty.

The bathrooms. Not clean. Almost no toiletpapier around. Unfortunatly we had bedbugs and needed to change rooms. The kitchens didnt had a stove. I had to be creative haha.

I stayed there for 20 days, got bed bugs and could have carried them in my home

bedbugs yet staff changed my room. bathrooms are DIRTY (yes do not ignore this). bathrooms are not very private. hostel has POOR HYGIENE STANDARDS (again do not ignore this). communal areas were dead as a cemetery... only good thing that the roof top was nice.

Die Badezimmer für die Gemeinschaftsräume waren sauberer als die des 4-Bett-Zimmers. Personal sehr nett und Lage auch super. Leider fand ich in der letzten Nacht raus, dass bei mir im Raum Bettwanzen hausen.

Despite of the location at vey very central area and close tu buses stop, I was provided stain sheets,bedbugs on the bed and pillows, all facilities and toilets were a mess and dirty, showers broken, noise rooms, I wouldn't recommend and return.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious but there was bedbugs and the showers did not have locks on them. Also it says youth hostel but it is not.

Η καλύτερη τοποθεσία στο κέντρο της πόλης. Όλα άψογα, πολύ φιλικοί εξυπηρετικοί, για ότι χρειαστείς η ρεσεψιόν είναι εκεί. Ο χώρος πολύ όμορφα φτιαγμένος, μέχρι και βιβλία έχει για να διαβάσεις. Κρεβάτια άνετα, ντουλαπάκι τεράστιο για να αποθηκεύσεις ότι χρειαστείς με ασφάλεια. Easy 5/5 stars, but ... i have to.. -2 stars for bed bugs on the beds. Its very annoying

can't thank the receptionist enough for helping me out when i got food poisoning - he was super helpful moving me to a private room and just so helpful in general. However, i did end up getting pretty bad bed bugs from the private room, which is the only reason I've marked the review down

This hostel is one of the worst I have ever been to! The toilets were smelly, majority of showers had a note "out if service", the toilets didn't have door or lockers.. I can't believe that it's so well rated on google.. also I found bed bugs in my bed !!!!!!!!!! (I even took a picture to show the receptionist, see attached) I give a star just for a location and rooftop- but definitely recommend to find a different place around
