Global Village Travellers Lodge

- En plus de 200 hostels fréquentés c’est bien la première fois que le staff me vire car les lieux communs ne peuvent plus être fréquentés seulement une heure après le check out. Décu de cet hôtel qui paraissait accueillant sur les commentaires.

- room was extremely hot no curtains on the beds so no intimacy you could hear what everybody else was doing in the hostel

+ Cleans facilities, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed.

- Far from the city center (there is no public transportation in town) and poor customer service. I would recommend finding a place closer to the city center.

+ Nicely decorated, very clean and organized. Warm bedrooms.

- The people running the hostel were not polite at all, making me feel very uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay there again.

+ Limpio, instalaciones muy bonitas, decoración chula, muchas estancias diferentes para sentirte cómodo y a tu aire.Aparcamiento para pocos coches,pero fuera hay sitio.Cocina bien preparada

- No me gustó que : nos debimos equivocar al reservar la habitación,y al llegar pedimos si había opción de otra con 2 camas.Parece que solo había una grande para 5 (vimos alguna más pequeña para 3 personas libre),nos dijeron que 20 $ por la noche,y al decirles que teníamos noches reservadas,pasaron de 20$ una noche a 100$ por 2 noches.Aceptamos porque nos liamos con el cambio dollar-euro ,pero al darnos cuenta nos pareció una exageración, y no quisimos molestar con otro cambio

- Not much to hang stuff in the bathroom or room

+ The place is clean and generally comfortable. The Woofers were lovely and the free bikes/kayaks are nice touches.

- The owner messed up my booking, was very accusatory before realising they had double booked my bed, proceeded to downgrade me, and (after I’d complained via the app as I felt rather put out by the move and handling) was rude, insulting, and generally embarrassingly unprofessional. I really wanted to rate this place highly but the owner’s reaction to a valid complaint and use of the booking app was utterly appalling.

+ nice vibey place. cool art and chillouts. hammocks are a great touch. good base for surfing and meeting fellow travellers. kitchen is clean

- the owner is a character telling people what to do. havent been told to go to bed in a long time! it wasnt even late. beds are on the small side and outdated build that squeeks without good entry for upper bunk. bathroom facilities are not big enough for the amount of guests.

- Cold floors and bathrooms!

+ Kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms were clean, staff were very friendly. Very social space!

- On site laundry can only be used from 1:30pm onwards daily.

+ Easy to check in. Nice fully equipped kitchen

- My room was left opened before we checkin, ending up with lots of mosquitos in the room, didn’t feel comfortable while sleeping. The location of my room wasn’t easy to access the shower or bathroom.

+ The kitchen has everything, clean and well organized. The bathrooms were clean and hot water were plenty.

- The parking was limited but you could park on the street.
