Finca Hostal Bolivar - Casa Maracuya

Hostel très sommaire. Les chambres privées sont correct sans plus. Par contre, propreté de la douche moyenne et aucune eau chaude. Bonne sécurité de l'endroit mais aucun charme. Petite rivière mais très peu profonde pour la baignade. Eau potable gratuite, personnel gentil.

All in all a hostel quiet and nice next to the river. The only thing is that the bathroom was not that clean and it’s getting pretty hot in the room. But it’s good for a night the staff was really nice.

Decent hostel with nice views and a jungle vibe. Pros: Bathrooms and communal areas were nice and clean and it was relatively quiet at night. Cons: internet didn’t work during our stay which made remote working tricky. We’ve also stayed in other hostels in the area for a similar price that have additional facilities and amenities.

Good and clean hostel, almost in the middle of the jungle. A special location for sure. A little bit strange how you had to dial a number on an old-fashioned telephone to reach the reception, who would send someone five minutes later. But an experience in itself. The place itself was quite good. There were also not as many mosquitoes as I had expected - or I was just lucky. On the other hand, there was much more noise of music and parties during the evening and night.

Staff were lovely here but felt its not great value for money. The room was dark and dinghy. It felt damp at all times. Its located up a street which gets very dark at night (pitch black) so walking back from dinner can be a bit uncomfortable. Overall it feels outdated and needs to be renovated.

Casa Bolivar is a little uphill from Minca (5 minutes walk), so it is really quiet.The house itself is quite nice, the dorm and bathroom offer enough space and the mattress was comfortable. There is a common room, however, I was the only guest in the dorm. However, the tropical climate has left its marks on the house. You see and smell the mold in the bathroom and it's not possible to open the windows. I only saw the staff on check in. It's okay for maybe 2 nights but I wouldn't stay longer.

A lovely spot on the river just outside of the center. Great communal terrace and a well equipped clean kitchen (no potato masher but there never is, maybe that's a British thing 🤷🏻). Free drinking water, towels provided. Daily cleaner. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors and there is a resident Agouti that traverses the garden regularly. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would undoubtedly book again.

Nice enough hostel - not much of a vibe there. Be careful if you do any laundry here though as no wash we had done was more than 1kg but they said our one there was 6kg and charged a lot for it which was a shame. Staff unhelpful when we tried to discuss it.

Great hostel for hikers who fancy some quiet time - lovely staff, weird atmosphere though (no privacy and no socialising in the evenings) , feels less like a hostel more like an Airbnb you’re sharing , beautiful though

Perfect location, only 5min from center town minca and the busstop. Beautiful house with private river access. Close to all the interesting sites. Will be back for sure....

L’hostel est propre et bien situé de façon à profiter de la tranquillité tout en étant proche de Minca. Il est possible d’accéder à la rivière pour de baigner ainsi qu’à un point de vue pour profiter du coucher de soleil. Très bonne expérience !

Nice quiet hostel just a quick walk from Minca city center. The kitchen is fully stocked and the patio with hammocks is a nice place to relax. The staff are super communicative over Whatsapp. Not a particularly social hostel unless you come with a group.

Had a great stay here! Very friendly staff, helped us with maps of the hikes and explained how to get the bus to santa marta. The property has a filtered tap for drinking water and a nice kitchen that opens up to a little patio with a view of the river. The hostel has two properties, one up the hill and one closer to the river which is also closer to town.

There’s 2 parts to this hostel - if you are in the house upstairs it is absolutely beautiful. (Beware though, it is a bit of a hike). Only 10-15 min walk from town but up a steep hill. Has everything you need and owner is lovely. However the house downstairs is very damp and mouldy. Definitely worth the extra hike to get up. Chill laid back vibe.

peaceful, quiet clean and.modern

We had a really nice stay here. The hostel was super clean and the communal areas were super nice. I’m not sure of the name of the woman who ran it (sorry) but she was lovely. There weren’t many people staying when we were there so we had most of the place to ourselves. There’s also private access to the river, which is sooo nice when it’s too hot

Eines der schönsten Hostels auf unserer Südamerikareise. Es war extrem sauber, die Angestellten hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Es ist sehr gemütlich und das Hostel hat einen privaten Viewpoint, um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen.

Lovely view and location, and really great value for the price. What detracted from the experience for us was a really dirty bathroom in our private room upon arrival (drain clogged with so much hair), a dirty kitchen and unreliable wifi, although this may have been an issue for the whole of Minca. But overall it was a beautiful setting

Maria was a great help at my arrival. She sat down with me as a part of the check-in process and recommended every place I could visit. There is hot water for the shower as well as a laundry facility. The property is adjacent to the river which is very nice. Everything is nearby as well, since Minca is a rather small mountain village. Great place to stay.

Bel hostel tout petit, cuisine bien organisée et propre. Accès à la rivière et douche chaude. J’ai fait mon check in à 12hrs am, le lit était déjà prêt. Par contre, malgré qu’il faisait frais à l’extérieur, la chambre était très chaude puisqu’il n’y avait pas d’AC et que les fenêtres ne s’ouvrent pas. Et le wifi n’est pas fameux.

This Hostel is wonderful. It feels like you are at home, super easy to connect with people, the kitchen is very well equipped and its so nice to be able to jump in the river right there after a long hike or in the morning. The viewpoint is also great.

Fantastic hostel! We had a nice private double room at Casa Maracuja. The hostel is a five-minute walk from Minca. We really liked the location as we were in the countryside and close to the town at the same time.The terrace is perfect for relaxing with the other travelers and the private river access is a nice bonus. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The staff was kind and helpful and provided lots of information about the area.

Located only a 5 min walk from the main town. Our room was lovely and modern with a private balcony and swing looking out onto the beautiful forest. The accommodation has private access to a river which we used every day to cool off. Kitchen is modern and fully equipped. Not very social but we had a lovely relaxing few days here

I really enjoyed my stay here- feels like you are left to be at home. The staff were welcoming with lots of information but then leave you to yourself with keys, free towel, and very nice kitchen with indoor/outdoor seating. Have wonderful access to the river and viewpoint for sunset! I was glad I came with a friend because would have felt slightly isolated if not. Thank you!
