Ooni Hostel Moalboal

Terwijl het hostel qua voorzieningen fijn was, bleek het personeel verschrikkelijk. De baas van het hostel bedreigde me nadat ik mijn mening gaf over de was die ze van mij kwijt waren geraakt. Ze kwam schreeuwend de kamer binnen en verzocht me meteen de room te verlaten. Als we een slechte recensie zouden schrijven, zou ze me laten blokkeren van the website. Hierdoor erg onveilig gevoeld en het was geen fijne ervaring.

Not social at all, since there is not even an real area to socialize. The door in the sleeping container was really loud and the whole room vibrates when someone is walking around!! And if someone is snoring it’s gonna be an echo, so it’s even louder! The beds and AC were good though, bathroom was clean.

Beds were good with power/lights. Facilities kept clean and separate showers and toilets. Not a social place but decent location. Was quite noisy as it’s behind a bar/club.

The place had not one but two soft pillows making side sleepers paradise! Was a great ac kept it cool all night, close to the food court and corner to grab ride. It’s basic outside but a nice spot to stay if you want a little more piece and quiet stay.

The hostel was ok. The air conditioning was not very good so the room was often very hot. The bathrooms sometimes smelt but the staff was nice and the dorms themselves were clean and nice. Also in a good location

Prima hostel

The room was clean and had everything you needed. Not social at all. Everyone working there was friendly.

Really clean and comfortable beds. Doesn’t seem like a big dorm because you are kind of closed off. Staff seems a little distant.

Great location right by the El Mercado, beds were comfy and spacious. Not very social and no lockers, but we just locked our belongings in our bags and it was fine, it’s a small hostel so it felt very safe. Definitely good value for money

I liked the interior of ooni but didn’t like the road going there. It’s hassle but I hope they build a proper route to the hostel.

No issues, good value for money and location, definitely worth it to save some money. However, not enough lockers for guests meaning there was no secure space to store valuables. Water dispenser on sight but you have to insert 1 PHP per small glass which we often didn’t have enough of to fill out bottles so was redundant.

Great hostel, value for money is great. Location is amazing, it’s quiet, everything is new and the staff are amazing. Not the most social hostel but definitely worth it

Great hostel, perfect location and everything super clean. No locks at gate or on doors to dorms.

Excellent and clean private room with en suite, luxurious to have a TV and nespresso coffee machine! Really well located to walk to the food market and into town

We love staying here! We had the private room—super spacious, spotlessly clean, and cozy. It’s also easy to book tours through the sweet staff.

I stayed in a private room, and it was fantastic—super clean with thoughtful extras like an espresso machine, fluffy towels, and stylish decor. The bed was really comfy, and the room was spacious. Great location and helpful staff. Not a social hostel, but that suited us. Only downside was a temporary gambling (until April 2025) pop-up behind the hostel—loud bingo calls until 10–11 pm on Saturdays made early nights tricky. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Moalboal!

We loved our stay in this peaceful and small hostel. The location is great and the beds were the comfiest we have stayed in during our three month trip (and you get 2 pillows!). It also has hot showers. The staff were very attentive, we booked a couple of tours with the hostel and they were very helpful. As it’s a small hostel there isn’t much atmosphere but it’s a perfect place to relax after busy days.

Private room was really nice. Hostel is nice to chill.

We had a really nice time at the hostel! It’s very clean and has a nice area to hang out which you can’t see on the pictures. It’s not a party hostel which was perfect for us. Also for every one traveling to the hostel: there are two dogs on a leash all day, right next to the hostel. We asked the owner if we can take them for a walk and he agreed. They were so sweet! So if you stay there, please take them for a short walk and make sure they have water!
