No hot water for bath🙃

Was way out of town from bus and train station walked over 30 min out of town. Worst experience at a hostel ever. You kids jumping up and down till early morning hours vibrating the walls and floors like it was a gymnastics arena. Guests were rude to each other. I decided to skip my paid breakfast and left early to walk another 30 min to catch train, as I couldn’t sleep anyway. There was no staff to complain to either. Will never stay there ever!

Dorm room spacious and high marks. Showers were not very clean and toilets were inconsistent regarding cleanliness. Staff not accessible. WiFi isn’t secure and if can’t create an account using their system then no access:(. Location is 20 minute walk from town and you have to cross a busy A30. No laundry services:(.

Staff wasn‘t really helpful at times, the room was fine and clean, but I booked breakfast flr teondays in a row - and the last day, I wasn‘t on the list and had to explain I really had purchased breakfast. Next time please don‘t forget to tell the breakfast team - it was really annoying. Anyways at Checkout - I had to wait pretty long for someone to show up, so I decided to throw it in the key box, cause my train can‘t wait for me. Better service from reception would be good.

Fantastic location, good facilities for those who want to bring their own food. Great breakfast- I do wish they had more plant based options, it is the future. Other than that all good.

The young women who booked me in was most helpful in more ways than one, above and beyond what I would have expected. Kind, local knowledge excellent and a bright cheerful personality. Thank you x

Quite a distance from the town with little to do in the immediate vicinity without a20min walk. Friendly staff, cool building. Not a particularly young cohort staying there when I was there - little opportunity for social input. Big lockable lockers were great. Showers were pretty good.

This was a fine hostel to be based at for a weekend in southwest Cornwall. No complaints on services, but some of the older staff seemed annoyed by the guests and there was no community atmosphere to help solo travelers link up. Stayed for three nights and didn’t have a single conversation with anyone. That being said, the price was right, the building was clean and secure, and the 20 minute walk into town was nice.

I stayed here 3 years before ans by coincidence I ended up in the same room, even same bed. Nothing changed to all facilities, a comfy, cosy great stay. quiet female dorm, lovely staff - would definitely recommend it. thank you!!+++

location is a little bit outta the way but otherwise can't fault the place. curtains would be nice in the beds but otherwise all was good.

I had a lovely quiet stay in February. The hostel is clean and comfortable. My one recommendation is consider bringing a high vis and 100% make sure you have a torch, it's utterly pitch black to get there, the only routes back to the hostel from town include crossing a large 50mph a-road with no street lights and then depending on your direction a 5 minute walk up a dark country road or a 10 minute walk through the fields. I love the dark, perfect for star gazing but consider your road safety!

Have stayed there for a few years at Xmas time so know the hostel well. In fact know the area well

Overall, v.good. Usual high institutional standards of a hostel... £10 breakfast perhaps not quite as good as competition. No cycle maintenance facility Shame there are no complimentary hot drinks.

Lovely hostel, very centrally located and the staff were very kind and helpful. Only trouble was the lack of streetlights for about a 4 min walk to the hostel and the fact that wifi access was limited to the kitchen hall area only. There was no wifi reception inside the rooms.

Loved this stay. Very easy and comfortable. On main road outside town so a bit of a hike if you don’t have transport. Lots of hikers and families. Good cooking space and meals if you want them. Warm sitting room. Great staff. Tents are next to busy road snd quite noisy said fellow hostellers. I was in cosy quiet bunk in the hostel. Great showers.

Amazing place to stay!!!!! the staff are amazing, the washrooms and showers are clean, and the whole hostel is just a relaxing plave to be at!! i loved my stay a lot and axtually ended up syaying an extra day!!
