one of the worst places i have stayed horrible atmosphere, rude staff. Its basically just a famiky hotel with a couple of dorm rooms. No chance to meet anyone over the age of 16, very unhelpful recomendations. A short walk away from town, but surrounded by construction, and rented me a fauty scooter.
homestay is 25 mins from sapa - so you either pay 200 in a taxi or take a motorbike . The rooms were super damp - the sheets felt wet. Hoa herself is such a nice women however overcharged for a lot of stuff (motorbikes were 250 and beep and brakes don’t even work in town they are 120 ..) We were surprised with the cost at the end. If your looking to stay and hike around the property then this is your place but we wanted to eat at restaurants and have a few drinks and this place was inconvie...
I can’t speak for the dorms, which people seemed to really enjoy, but the private rooms were all damp and had bugs in them. My friends had a slug and cockroach in their bed. All my belongings were damp and wet in the morning and we cancelled our second night. It seemed like a really lovely place with lovely staff so I hope they fix this problem.
The area around was gorgeous. The property itself was the opposite. Upon entering the room was very wet and moist (bedsheets and the floor), so much that it smelled like entering a cave. There was water leaking and dripping everywhere, so much there was a Sprite-can mounted to the ceiling. Wouldn’t recommend this place… there definitely better home stays in the area.
Very different experience to what we were expecting. All comments say how quiet/ peaceful it is but is quite the opposite!!! Loud music plays until 1/2am every night with cockerels / staff shouting waking you up at 5am every morning. Bathrooms are very damp and full of mould as well as the homestay being freezing. Food is very overpriced for what it is and you are not allowed to sit at any tables if you do not want to pay the expensive price for the family dinner. We would not come back.
The housekeeperin was sooo lovely and nice! I would go there again because of her but not the room. It was soooo moldy, stinky and wet. Even the walls were wet in the double room. The view was wonderful : you’re within the rice terrace. So sorry for the bad review!
Friendly and helpful staff. I think they would benefit from a deep clean of the rooms.
Not a fan. First its very outside of the City and the view is Not that crazy so its not really worth it. Especially since you pay at least 100k per trip to sapa Center where you get a bed in a good hostel. Also they claim to have feee breakfast but you have to pay extra for it. Also my room "door" was a curtain. Anyone could have gotten inside. The Personal is trying but confusing caos. My friebds tried to book woth them the loop and they told them it got canceld only to say 20 min later its fin
Would recommend, but only if you’re planning on getting a private room
Although the location (in terms of access/closeness to town) isn’t great, it makes up for it in the view! Every night I stayed there was a family dinner, which was social and the food was good! The staff could have been more helpful (there was usually no one at reception), but still they were nice. I enjoyed the walking tour.

This has been the best place I have stayed in and they are truly beautiful people with a lovely and relaxed family vibe I love everyone here
I’ve never come across such friendly and caring staff before. It really made our stay even better!
Amazing home stay with incredible view on rice fields, Hoa is super nice and family dinner is a must to do.
Lovely homestay, Hoa and the family were very welcoming (especially happy!) and really helpful with all needs. Definitely recommend. The happy water was unbelievable too.
I enjoyed this homestay! They are so nice, and very helpful. They even shipped something I accidentally left behind to my next hostel for me. I didn’t do much socializing, but the vibe seemed very chill and social.
Amazing view and staff
The most pleasant homestay i have ever had the opportunity to stay in. perfect location with a great view, super friendly staff. family dinners are a very good idea on their part to break the ice with other travelers. i do not regret at all choosing this hostel. if i ever get the opportunity, i will return to this location with the least hesitation.
I had a great stay here, Hoa is literally the nicest person you could possibly meet and was so helpful in organising my Mt. Fansipan hike and bus to Ninh Binh. Thank you so much Hoa and best wishes to you and your family!
The place is quite far from the center, but the views and the staff are nice. I booked the 8 bed dorm and when I arrived late first night I got a materace on the floor on the attic, but when I asked about the change I got the normal room. The lockers are quite small, so you can put just the most valuable things inside. The room also didn’t have any door. Breakfast is included. Every evening there is a family dinner, so you can meet other travelers.
Hoa was such an amazing host, so helpful with organising trips and really made sure you were well looked after. Would definitely recommend
Far from the town but the view is worth it
10/10 such a nice environment, amazing food and amazing staff - a really nice place to rest and recover from the loop!
I really enjoyed my stay at Hoa’s Homestay, Hoa is a lovely lady who always greets everyone and checks if you need anything. The views of the homestay are amazing and the hostel is the right amount of social. I had a private room which was clean and spacious but the only downside was that a pool is currently being built outside the room which works started super early and was quite disruptive. Other than that I enjoyed my stay!
Hoa is amazing!
Amazing homestay, hoa is such a lovely host. Very social and beautiful view over the valley
Really lovely homestay in a beautiful location. Hoa was so friendly and helpful, breakfast was great and I really enjoyed the family dinners. It’s far out of the town but the hostel can arrange taxis and I think it was worth the distance for the beautiful surroundings. I would recommend to anyone planning a trip to Sapa!
Great stay here! Vibes were really good. Felt super at home in the dorms too. Hoa was an amazing host. So sweet and helpful with everything. When she filled up on beds, she helped me book elsewhere. She helped me with booking a bus when I can be a pain deciding the time. Puppies are an adorable addition too! Thank you queen Hoa!!
I had a wonderful stay at Hoa’s Homestay. The family were so friendly and the family dinners made socialising easy. The dinner was also delicious. Plus there were puppies so u really can’t go wrong
Liebevolles Homestay! Ein rund um guter Aufenthalt. Hoa ist zauberhaft und es gab Welpen 😍

Loved my stay at Hoa’s homestay! The location was beautiful and the staff is excellent and they have delicious family dinners every night, I highly recommend
