Eness Hostels Pondicherry

This place was so loud. There were people loudly partying in the common room right next to the dorm until past midnight. Then the girl in my dorm decided to take a phone call at 1 am and again at 9 am. Then some guy was watching a loud action movie at 9:30 am. So don’t stay here if you want to sleep at all. The dorm was clean enough but very cramped with no place to put your bag. And the common room just had two dirty looking couches I wouldn’t want to sit on. Also, please update your rules....

It seemed to take us the duration of our stay to check-in to the hostel. After initially checking in we then needed to confirm our details, then provide our passports. It was all a bit disjointed. Location is okay on a busy street and not too far from attractions.

Too many mosquitos, charges money for washing machine even though it says free. Reception person was not polite and moved my things without my permission in my absence. Excessive micro-management, changed our bed without prior notice, changed rules as per their convenience, made my stay uncomfortable a lot many times. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as hotels are much more welcoming and have no such conventional and unwanted rules.

first of all they charged £7(Rs630) for a night apart from your commission. This property located on a busy market area on second floor. we have to carry the whole luggage through the steps.

Buen hostel. Muy limpio, cómodo y céntrico. No tiene servicio de cafetería pero si una cocina común. Las habitaciones cuentan con AC, ventilador y baños privados. Siempre hay alguien en recepción. Lo único creo que el precio es demasiado para lo que es, he estado en hostels igual de buenos por 300-400ir/noche, este me cobró 623ir/noche.

Nice hostel, centrally located, easy walk to Old Town and many cafes/pubs. Kitchen is available for cooking/heating food. Rooftop has a basic terrace to sit and hang laundry. Information present about what to do and where to go in the city. Bunks were basic but comfortable, sheets unfortunately had stains all over and pillows didn't appear to have been washed recently. Staff were a little clueless but overall friendly and nice.

Noisy because of it's location you'll definitely need earplugs, but otherwise super convenient !

Great location, but the hostel atmosphere and staff were lacking. Female dorm aircon remote was kept by reception so had to keep asking them to adjust the temp. Lots of mosquitoes in the hostel and at times, the water purifier wasnt working.

El hostel esta muy bien. Buena ubicacion, buen ambiente para conocer gente. Solo me molesto que en la terraza pusieron la musica muy fuerte hasta muy tarde y se escuchaba en las habitaciones

It was great! Warm and kind staff, close to the main attraction but in the vibrant local side of the city, great people and great connections! Highly suggested!

I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to future travelers. The location is perfect- right in the heart of the city with plenty of autos around should you wish to travel further. I had great experiences with the staff- Akash and the curly haired young guy from Pondy (I'm sorry I forgot your name! T.T) were wonderful. Very helpful and happy to answer questions. Great hostel. Super clean rooms and very helpful staff. Atmosphere was lacking but also we weren’t there in peak season. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay there again. Just maybe bring ear plugs as is very close to the road

Right in the middle of the heritage town. Walking distance to the beach and other places. Comfortable bunk beds. With locker to store luggage. Clean bathrooms. No restrictions on AC timings. One of the top hostels i have stayed in India. Highly recommended if you are visiting Pondicherry

Love my stay here, it was worth the price it's really affordable the service is good, thr people are really friendly, the rooms are really comfortable and clean also they have a great common area where we smoking is allowed, overall a nice place

Super hostel avec une bonne ambiance ! Emplacement parfait . Juste un peu trop de bruit venant de la télé et de l’extérieur .

I really enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely go again. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the hostel had lots of space to relax and meet other travellers. The location was also great and only a very short walk from most of the shops and other attractions in White Town. I would highly recommend this place.

Really nice place, with an amazing team and with good location on the buzzing street of Mahatma Ghandi.
