Roost Glamping

During my stay, a male guest was secretly taking photos of women in bikinis at the pool without their consent. I immediately reported this to the reception. Don’t book the dorm even if it’s the last option in the area! You boil as soon as the sun comes up and freeze to death at nighttime. The tents aren’t any better, no privacy at all and always boiling. No chance of getting any decent sleep as there is incredibly loud music until 2/3am. Also VERY expensive for what it is. The shower and toilet block is very basic and exposed so again, no privacy. Cafe/restaurant was very nice and staff were lovely.

We paid for a 3 sharing tent. When we reached property they told us “we are moving you to 8 bed mixed dormitory WITHOUT ANY EXTRA CHARGES 😂“. Also the door of the dormitory was damaged and was not closing.

wayyy too hot in the tend. I had to move to the dorm but they only turned on the AC past 9pm - it was awful. The dorm is right next to the street so you can hear loud bikes passing the whole night. I didn't sleep much. The staff could have been friendly in turning the AC on a little earlier.

Zwembad/ ligbedden en douches waren zeker niet onderhouden/proper. Voor de rest wel fijne plek om te verblijven, veel rust :)

couldn’t lock up door and no space for a backpack so it felt unsafe :( The restroom was outside so if you wanna go there late you have to put on shoes and walk through rain if the weather is bad. Light was on outside the whole night and there were no curtains. So you just exposed to all. You are far away from any active city and have no 7-eleven close. I didn’t like it :(

It was fun for a night but wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. It was the most expensive place we booked and didn’t have any of the perks any other hostels had. The tent only had 2 fans but 3 beds meaning to share them we all barely got any use of the fan. Also to get drinking water you had to buy it whereas every other hostel we’ve been in has free drinking water. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but wouldn’t go back

When we wanted to check in our 8-bed-room, they offered us to sleep in a private tent which we accepted. But the tent was full of moguls from the inside, so we told them and got our initial room. But it wasn‘t better at all. There were geckos and ants, the bedlinen was a bit mouldy and dirty and smelled like it has been damp for weeks. Also the beds were noisy ‘and not very comfortable. I stayed in the dorms and the tent. The tent was okay but too hot without AC and the dorms had a big issue because the curtains were broken so you had no privacy. We nicknamed the hostel peeping Toms hostel for this reason. Also saw the owner be rude to the workers. Location is okay and the bathrooms were nice.

Had such a great stay at Roost! The tents were really comfortable and stayed cool at night, the food at the cafe was spot on, and the swimming pool was perfect for chilling out. Had a nice social vibe and I’ve already recommended this hostel to a few of my mates. Would definitely come back :)

Loved this hostel! If you can brave a tent in the heat, do it!!! It was not that bad at night, just in the day. Not very sociable but very chill and really nice food in the cafe a the pool was lush. Perfect place to stay first when you get to Thailand to just chill and relax and ease into it.

This place is such a good vibe!! The staff are amazing the tents are super clean, facilities are great. The food is super fresh and the coffee is perfect.

Vraiment mignon la petite tente, nous avions tout ce qu’il nous fallait et une salle de bain privé, à côté. Environ 15min à pied du centre.

Die Unterkunft bietet eine coole Erfahrung. Das Zelt ist groß und geräumig. Innen drin gab es 2 Ventilatoren, welche den ganzen Tag laufen (braucht man bei den Temperaturen auch). Strom Steckdosen zum Handy laden ist vorhanden. Die Matratze war für mich super, für manch andere ggfs etwas zu hart. Die Sanitäranlage wurde jeden Morgen gegen 7.30/8 Uhr gereinigt. this is my all time favourite place to stay in Phuket, i have been back 3 times! Think magical nature spot of tranquility within its own bubble of peace yet still a stones throw away from the town. I have stayed in a tent and the dormdormitories and both have been great. i only meant to stay for 3 days but ended up extending my trip day by day and staying a while 8 days. It was the peaceful reset and centring i needed amongst months of travel.The staff are amazing, so friendly kind. food is fab

Very nice hostel!!

The lack of security in and on the tent was concerning. It would’ve benefited from having lockers or a lock on the tent so felt more secure. There is no bottle refill either which would’ve been helpful too. Other than that the staff were great and really friendly and not too far of a walk to the main strip and back.

The whole set-up was really good. There’s a nice pool and a social space with good food. They also have a campfire which they light on request, with marshmallows available at a good price. We stayed in the dorms, which were fine, but we would have preferred curtains for a bit more privacy and the A/C to be turned on when needed. That said, once the A/C was on at night, it was nice, cold, and comfortable to sleep. The showers were also really nice.

Ich habe in dem 8-Bett-Zimmer geschlafen. Die Anlage ist super sauber. Das Personal spricht englisch und ist super hilfsbereit. Der Poolbereixh ist top. Es gab nur kein kaum Platz für Rucksäcke etc. und keine Vorhänge und es war etwas zu sehr gekühlt in der Nacht, aber alles nicht allzu schlimm. Sehr schön und ruhig alles!!

The location was great, the staff were so kind and we loved the swimming pool and cafe. What I wished it had was lockers in the rooms to store luggage, curtains for the beds and a keycard/key for the rooms. Especially living in the female only dorm, I felt a little unsafe knowing that our door was unlocked at night and that anyone could come in during the day as well to steal our belongings. The security guard on site was also always sleeping at night, making it easy for anyone to enter.

A very unique place with great atmosphere! I really liked the surroundings also. My only wish would be cleaner bathrooms. But I would recommend! :)

Could not speak more highly of this place. Already extended my stay and planning on coming back. Teepee was one of the comfortable accomodations I’ve had in Thailand. The staff are so kind and helpful. Felt right at home. Great food, and music at the cafe too. So peaceful. Can’t wait to be back soon! Thank you!

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Hostel. War für uns der perfekt Ort zum Ankommen in Thailand. Schöner Pool und leckeres Café/Restaurant (etwas teurer). Uns hat die Lage auf der Insel gut gefallen, da es etwas ruhiger ist und nah am Strand. Außerdem konnten wir über das Hostel problemlos einen Roller mieten und den weiteren Transport organisieren.
