Seltsame Atmosphäre, die Besitzerin des Hostels ist sehr nett jedoch scheint sie keinen Überblick zu haben, die Einrichtungen waren grauenhaft, es wurde nicht einmal das Bad sauber gemacht, es gab keinen Mülleimer für das Toilettenpapier, mehrfach Kakerlaken im Bad gefunden, Bad viel zu klein mit Dusche, keine Spülung, Waschbecken undicht, Badezimmertür hat sich während des ganzen Aufenthaltes nicht schließen lassen und war immer halb offen Habe mich nicht wohlgefühlt
Strange atmosphere, the Hostel Owner is very nice however she seems to have no overview, the facilities were awful, not even the Bathroom cleaner was made, there was no Mülleimer for the toilet paper, several times found cockroaches in the bathroom, Bathroom much too small with shower, no rinse, Waschbecken undicht, Bathroom door could not be closed during the whole stay and was always half open Habe mich nicht wohlgefühlt Habe
Everything here was not working. Water, toilet wouldn’t flush. Bathrooms were horrendous. Bunk beds felt like they were about to break. The stuff is very sweet and nothing bad on them this place just needs a very large revamp. I left early
Las fotos no eran acordes con el hostal (actualmente luce mucho más deteriorado). Nadie más se hospedada en el lugar. La habitación correcta, pero sin papel higiénico, la cisterna del wc no funcionaba y el desagüe de la ducha no tragaba bien. Cambiamos de lugar (a lo que no nos pusieron ninguna pega).
The photos were not in agreement with the hostel (actually it looks much more deteriorated). no one else stayed in the place. the correct room, but without toilet paper, the toilet tank did not work and the shower drain did not work well. we changed places (which we were not given any penalty for).
please don't be deceived by the other reviews on here. I walked in and then walked out. The place really isn't like the pictures. although the owner is nice (as expected) the place isn't very clean at all, the toilet didn't flush and the door didn't lock, there were no lockers that worked and the bunk beds felt like they were going to wall apart, not to mention the mouldy ceilings. I know the owners are trying their best but from a hygiene point of you I would not stay here.

A 10min des plages ou restaurant. Rebecca est accueillante et propose de vous aider. Lit pas très confort et l’hygiène des sanitaires n’est pas top. Je me suis retrouvée seule dans un dortoir pendant deux nuits, et la fenêtre de se fermait pas à clefs. Elle donnait accès au balcon qui accessible à n’importe qui ce qui n’était pas très sécure même s’il ne m’est rien arrivé.
Rebecca is welcoming and offers to help you. bed is not very comfortable and the hygiene of the toilets is not top. i ended up alone in a dorm for two nights, and the window of the room was unlocked. she gave access to the balcony which was accessible to anyone which was not very safe even though nothing happened to me.
Price / quality is very good in this hostel. Nice spacious rooms and a chill vibe. The nicest people who work there, who make anyone feel at home ♡. Shoutout to Rebecca!
The owner of the hostel is really nice and she is trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The problem in the guesthouse for us was the mold in the ground floor room. We told the owner and she will take care of it. It’s just not easy in a country with that climate. We could switch rooms tho. Also keep in mind its a guesthouse not a hostel. Id you are looking for evening activities etc you should go somewhere else.
Doccia fredda e wifi non andava in camera. Nel complesso a livello di qualità/prezzo è ok. Rebecca molto simpatica e disponibile.

Lovely lady who runs this hostel she made it a lovely experience. Great location. Only downfall it looks quite different to the pictures. No lockers for security. Lots of space to socialise but not many people had booked. Hope this becomes a popular hostel to go too.

A really awesome family. They gone help you with everything, but it was really dirty. I had dead insects on my bed and dirt. The toilet / sink and shower are absolutely disgusting/filthy.

Rebecca is a wonderful host. Always with a smile and great advice. The dorms are relatively basic, and the bathroom has a strong odor. Fortunately, this should no longer be the case after future renovations.

very friendly Family
The place was pretty rundown, it has not been well maintained, there was no toilet seat, and the knobs were busted, the air conditioner struggled thru my stay, and they are running an air compressor late into the night in the back of the hostel. I know as backpackers, we are on a budget, and I think for this place, if you NEED air-con to sleep, maybe stay here. But you have zero business being on Malapascua unless you are diving or snorkling, so bite the bullet and stay at a dive resort instead.
Hello, ,I had a very good time at The be one,I feel like in a family, Rebecca show me the town, and organize a tour for me. The shower was ok, the price very good, and it’s a place I will return if I come back.Rooftop very nice 😊 thank you for the stay!!

Rebecca is the kindest host ever. It is a simple basic hostel but has everything you need and Rebecca makes you feel very welcome. The toilets have good pressure unlike some other hostels which struggle to flush. Rebecca makes you feel like you’re part of her home.

I hate to leave a mediocre review because Rebecca the owner is so nice and helpful but the hostel itself is run down and needs a revamp. The toilet door in the dorm didnt close never mind lock and was a glass door 😅 the only way to flush toilet was to take the lid off and fill up the tank. It was only £5 a night so I wasnt expecting perfect conditions but basics would be good. This has potential to be an awesome place to stay but it just needs some work unfortunately

Lovely little homestay, the owner is so kind and always keen to help. She even walked with us to show us where an ATM was on the island. Value for money is great given the service provided. Facilities are a little tired but good. Would recommend
