The Central House Istanbul Galata

The room we stayed in was very dirty. Talked to the staff five times about it over two days but the room was never cleaned. The hotel room looked nothing like the photos. The space was very cramped up. The washbasin was right in front of our beds (less than one step away). The AC was in front of another bed so the person sleeping on it was extremely cold and needed the AC to be switched off - which made sense. Everyone else felt the heat and was uncomfortable.

The only thing bothers me is one female staff who is quite mean and unfriendly. one day I was peeling my pomegranate in the kitchen. And every time I will clean the chicken sink and everything. The female staff comes and said you were not supposed to use the kitchen? ? Well, so I stopped and continued to peel it on the other table. She comes again and said you were not allowed to do it, if you don’t follow the rules, you should find Airbnb and check out??! This is how she treat people:(

Some man working rudely and loudly came into the room when I was sleeping I was told I would get a refund which I never did they still owe me full refund. They did not let me stay the full night The staff have a high turnover and some are extremely uneducated and rude… have no idea how to speak to people… especially when someone is paying to stay there

Clean hostel but outside it is no stores ..no food or drinks stores nearby ..need to take a bus to have a dinner or to buy a bottle of water …need to pay for coffe or tea inside the hostel no fridge no kittle ..if you need a towel you need to pay for it ..i dont recomend it

We were excited to stay at this hostel. The wifi was absolutely terrible. We couldn’t connect most of the time. Front desk was unhelpful. The door to our bathroom wouldn’t lock. We asked for someone to come check it out and we were told they would come in the morning. No one ever came. I asked for a blanket since each bed only had a sheet. I was told it’s the summer and they couldn’t give one to me at the time but that one would be provided the next morning, it never came. Would not stay...

On arrival they told me I should pay the commission again, I did , but after I checked the hostel world already charged the commission, so the next day I spoke to other receptionist (she was nice and offered me a coffee instead) I asked why I didn't get any notification, she called the manger, the manger spoke for 10 minutes that they can cancel my reservation and charge me the commission again, when I asked her to show me if this written on the site, she said I don't have time.

Worst hostel ever! There was no soap in the toilet, the smell in the toilet and the room is disgusting, no place to leave your food, wifi never works. So far away for everything and expensive.

I was very disappointed with this hostel. It is one of those ones that has been decorated nicely and looks good in photos but doesn’t have the necessary things to make your stay comfortable. Firstly, the bedroom stank!! The drains of both bath and shower smelt really bad and because they were little cubicles off the bedroom it made the bedroom stink too. I complained about this at front desk and they said it was because of storms and all of Istanbul smelt at that time but the drains and room...

Stayed 6 nights at this hostel. The rooms were not cleaned every day despite waking up late and asking for them to be cleaned. At check-in, we were told to rent towels even though there were towels in the room. Room very poorly soundproofed. We could hear the neighbors in the other rooms. Window poorly insulated for noise and overlooking the road. Very cold atmosphere in the hostel. Personal linen not cleaned during our stay.

We were 6 friends and enjoyed our time there!!

Très bon auberge de jeunesse, petit déjeuné inclus et copieux. Hic les dames qui font le ménage sont gentilles mais toque entre même si vous n'êtes pas en situation et on ressent un peu le ressort des lits... Bon on ne vient pas à Istanbul pour bien dormir hein il y a tellement de chose à faire.

Was my first ever hostel experience and it was great! Zahit and Abdurrahman at the reception did their job perfectly. Even gave me an upper bed, since I was young and people usually sit on lower ones. The atmosphere is super friendly and the location is close to popular places. Breakfast is awesome and healthy. Also, there's a cool rooftop overlooking the city. Highly recommended!

Overall quite a nice hostel, quite close to the M2 metro line make transportation relatively easy. Breakfast was quite nice and the beds were okay ish.

Tuve una desafortunada estancia , me desaparecieron 10 libras de encima de la mesita cuando baje a desayunar.Baje comente lo sucedido en la recepcion sin que nadie me pidiera una disculpa ya q la habitacion era privada. El hecho de las 10 libras es una anécdota pq no ha sido mas dinero

I absolutely loved this hostel. It’s really beautiful, has an amazing co working area to chill, such good breakfast! Staff were friendly and helpful. Very very clean and bus stop right outside. Quite sad to be going! Zeyner was lovely and we chatted so much! (Reception staff) Thank youuuuu

El hostel es una pasada. Si buscas trabajar con el ordenador y un buen internet es perfecto. Tiene de todo y la terraza es una pasada. De los mejores hostels que he estado.

Ein super Hostel, bin begeistert. Alles top vor allem Caferteria und Dachterasse. Werde beim nächsten besuch auf jedenfall wieder hier übernachten.

The hostel's facilities are great! I stayed in a 4-bed dorm and it was perfectly acommodated. The coworking and community area is a nice place to hang out and get some work done. Also the daily breakfast in the morning is great! The location of the hostel is super central and it's just a short walk to the main street, Galata tower, Taksim square and down to the river. All in all I would highly recommend this hostel.

Amazing hostel, reception staff are great and amazing, helped me out with travel card and any information I needed. Rooms are fantastic.

Amazing location, the staff is great and it’s really calm, I slept quite well. A tiny bit hard to meet people there but still, I really recommend. Very clean also !!

Great place. Dope rooftop with great views of city. Food nearby and access to lots of main areas.

Overall experience was great. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. WFH- WiFi was good they had a study room just for those studying / working

Great hostel for digital nomads. Large coworking area. breakfast was great and included in my rate. The rooftop terrace had amazing views. I was in a 6-person room and it was quite cramped. The roommates and I were always in each other's way once out of bed. It had small windows that were blocked by the first row of beds, so not much light in the room making it seem like I was in a basement. I would recommend staying in the 4-person room if possible, those rooms looked nicer.

Well located, breakfast is good. Dorms are clean. Rooftop is great. Would've been nice to have free towels considering the price of one bed.
