Chillout Lya Hostel Bar

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is not safe. People crashing about all night. Guy in the bunk below we watching loud videos at 3am. Guy stood with the dorm door open and light pouring in at 5am. I told him to close the door and he hit me. Staff did nothing. He continued to stay there. I only got moved to a private room after a lot of arguing and threatening to call the police. I've travelled to hostels all over the world and not experienced anything like this.

Breakfast was lovely and staff were very kind. Sadly the room was not fit for purpose, beds were uncomfortable, room is crowded, showers were dirty and barely worked, windows barely opened and the room stank. WiFi barely worked on the second floor where the door was. Kitchen was unusable. No locks on the hostel door or room door. Guests were rude and no hostel etiquette.

J'aurais dû lire les commentaires et non la note. Les lieux ne sont pas propres (cuisine, chambre), des choses cassées ou mal faites. La porte de ma chambre avait un gros impact, une poignée cassée. Les serviettes étaient très abîmées, les couvertures avec des brûlures de cigarettes et la liste est longue. Les odeurs de la cuisine au 1er s'infiltrent dans les chambres et les affaires sentent. Peu d'insonorisation, on entend tout. Le petit déjeuner était déjà sorti à 6h...chaîne du...

I'm not going to lie, I don't understand how this hostel can have such a high rating. Except the breakfast, everything else is very disappointing. The kitchen is absolutely not usable and very dirty, there are cockroaches, I found pieces of broken glass in the corner of the bottom bunkbed, both bedroom and bathroom are really dirty, I stayed in two other Hostel in Istanbul much cleaner than this one for the same price. The coffee offered is soluble coffee, undrinkable..

I booked a standard room but instead they gave me a room with a bunk bed. The curtains didn’t even reach the end of the window so a lot of light from early in the morning. The only reason I stayed was because I arrived at 1am and I was too tired to go else where. The area is sketchy. And noisy really noisy.

I stayed there there is some guy tried to punch me and screaming from the staff the our reception guy called ali he is good guy he stoped him it was an animle zoo not a hostel

The place advertised wifi, which is why we booked the place. I teach English online and unfortunately my friend and I lost a lot of money, as we could not get online to teach and it is our way of making money, and when we said to staff about the WiFi being weak and breaking.... the staff seemed not bothered and unwilling to help!! It was also a cold room.

This is one of the worst places I have stayed in. I did not feel safe as my stuff was thrown away and the staff did everything possible to AVOID helping and resolving the situation. I felt super disrespected here… Pros: free breakfast is nice and I met some cool travelers.

Great location and good breakfast. Security was reliable, but cleanliness was just okay. Major issue: no water in the washrooms for three out of my five-night stay. Staff claimed it was a city-wide issue, but other nearby hotels had water, so I had to move. Overall, the water issue was a significant drawback.

- The beds are clean and comfortable - there is safe box in the beds a lot of spaces to put your stuff - Value for money - The hostel is owned and managed by a nice family - There are many spaces to chill and work - Nice bar in the reception - Great open buffet breakfast which is included for all guests

В целом небольшой уютный хостел. Хорошая локация Стамбула. 2 минуты до Истикляль. Есть продуктовые магазины рядом. Рекомендую

The hostel is in a great location, the staff is amazing, and the breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had at a hostel

Everything was good breakfast was the very best! I enjoyed my stay, the food place across from the hostel does fabulous very cheap food too!

Tolles Hostel mit super Frühstück und richtig guter Stimmung! 🥐☕ Die Zimmer waren sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders das Frühstück war lecker und abwechslungsreich – perfekt für einen guten Start in den Tag. Außerdem lernt man hier schnell neue Leute kennen und hat viel Spaß. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

L’endroit est bruyant pendant toute la nuit. C’est bien pour une nuit. Point positif : j’ai eu une chambre privée pour le prix du dortoir car ils étaient complets

Le lieu a beaucoup de charme, dans un quartier que j'aime beaucoup. le personnel est très aimable et les chambres globalement propres et équipées. En revanche c'est davantage un bar donc ne vous attendez pas à socialiser beaucoup ici. La rue est un peu particulière, j'ai été abordée plusieurs fois dans la rue par je pense des prostituées.Rien de grave mais je préfère préciser. excellent petit déjeuner !!

Convenient location and very cheap. Unfortunately it is not clean, there’s often no toilet roll and people smoke openly in the dorms and bathrooms.

very cute hostel in an incredible location and the breakfast was really nice! however, the private room we stayed in had moldy corners and curtains so we didn’t feel as comfortable as I’d hoped. also, some hooks to hang towels and jackets would’ve been great.

Das beste Hostel-Frühstück, das ich je hatte. Sehr zentrale Lage.

Honestly one of the best places I stayed in. The staff were super nice. Amazing breakfast for free and it a super social place with a lot of nice people. The female dorm especially is beautiful, clean and big. Only problem is there no elevator/ lift, and sometimes there problems with hot water but it a hostel so.

We loved our stay at Chillout and plan to return at Midwinter!
