The staff seemed friendly at first, but were very quick to act up. We had our laundry done, which was not properly cleaned and when we very nicely asked if it could be cleaned again or find another solution the host Carlos took it as an insult and started slamming the doors and giving us a real attitude. The next day he completely ignored us, and the staff did not want to help us get a taxi into town. Carlos also watches tv very loudly at night that you can hear when you’re trying to sleep.

This is more like a guest house rather than a hostel. The host and the owner live in the room next door to the dorm. There was very little privacy from the owner, she would walk into the dorm in the morning and turn on the light, she would come into the kitchen if you were in there. She was rude when trying to converse. The host Carlos was nice enough, he had a temper which would come out at some guests occasionally. He is one to gossip about other guests.

While this may have been a good place to stay at one point, I wouldn’t recommend it now for a few reasons detailed below - Cleanliness: I get that this is hostel life, but the condition of the hostel was very poor. There was food all other the table and kitchen, which led to more bugs entering the hostel. He said he was going to clean our bathroom, but that never happened. My friend ended up sick the entire time we were there, but she’d feel better when we left the hostel for the day and ...

It’s a beautiful property, a refuge from the noise of town but close enough to walk. The staff are great. The negatives are that it’s a bit rundown and dated. The bedroom I was in is desperate for paint and updated linens and amenities like privacy curtains, lights and more than one outlet. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and tiny ants on the ground. But overall it was a nice stay and I would recommend.

Zou niet aanraden hierheen te gaan. Man van het hostel was onaardig en manipulatief. Zonder goede reden heeft hij mij uit het hostel gezet nadat ik een 12 uur lange hike gedaan had. Ik had 30 uur niet geslapen en hij begon op hele boze toon te vertellen dat ik mocht oprotten. Niet erg prettig na zo’n hike/lange dag. Geld voor de 2 resterende nachten teruggesmeten gekregen en toen met de taxi op zoek gegaan naar een nieuwe plek, was erg in shock.

Carlos is an extrovert and it's clear he has found the right career for himself. Hostel is in a 2 bed 2 bath bungalow meant for family of 4 to 5, that is now hosting 3x as many people. So you can imagine how crowded it is. The location is peaceful if a little out of the way. A few popular hikes are close by. Boquete is a pretty little town, but the hikes are overrated and have hefty fees, and besides that there is nothing much to do than spend money eating, drinking or just chill.

Stayed here for one night for the climb of Volcán Barú. The owner and employee from El Salvador seemed really nice and helped us a lot; with cheap taxi service and headlights for the climb. Amenities were really good for such a cheap place.

this place is more like a guest house than a hostel, as the host is living there as well. comfy beds and decent kitchen, calm and safe location. the host seemed to be annoyed by some guests and talked about it with other guests, which made me feel weird.

the hostl was ok, tho the mom and the owner acused us severel times we did not wash our dishes ( wasn't true). i think the host is a bit stressed out because he has to manage so many guests.

Super hostel, le gérant est d’une gentillesse 🫶🏻 Bien placé par rapport aux randonnées, mais un peu excentré par rapport à la ville. L’ambiance est agréable, et il y a de quoi se divertir dans la salle commune (jeux vidéos, films, vinyles/cds…)

Our stay here was so beautiful. Our host is such a kind person, so helpful, friendly, and also really funny. Our tent was really cool and very comfortable, and whenever we needed anything, our host was immediately there to help us. Everyone should visit this hostel at least once. The vibe and atmosphere here are perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Boquete. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We would love to come back anytime.

Super schönes, familiäres, kleines Hostel in dem man schnell mit anderen Backpackern ins Gespräch kommt. Carlos hilft wo er kann und gibt gute Tipps! Lage außerhalb der Stadt - dafür näher an den Wanderwegen in der Umgebung. War nur eine Nacht da, aber hab mich wohl gefühlt :)

I totally recommend this hostel, ''Peace and quiet'' represents it perfectly. Very easy to access using the bus. Carlos and Mavel are very friendly and helpful, you'll get all the advice you need!

The best place to stay in Boquete. I highly recommend ☺️ the kindest people you’ll ever meet.

We stayed 5 nights and loved it! Dont expect a fancy hostel its more like a guest house quite simple but the garden and veranda are beautiful. You can drive to town by bus for 75ct. The place is super social, Carlos is host with all his heart and will help you with all the plannings and activities!

I enjoyed my stay here very much and would have stayed longer if I had time! Carlos and Mavel are incredibly kind and helpful people. I wanted to hike Volcán Barú but didn’t have the right gear and they let me borrow a warm jacket. Carlos also went into town to get snacks for my hike so that I could stay and rest. My last night we went into town together with another guest to see the christmas lights. It was things like this that made the stay feel more like home than a hostel which was perf...

Wow! Such an amazing place beautiful views and great facilities Carlos was so so helpful he helped us book all of our transport there and also plan more of our trip after our stay! Would 100% recommend

Passage de courte durée mais tout autant apprécié. Merci à Carlos qui a été adorable avec nous de A à Z. On se sent très bien accueilli comme dans une grande famille. On recommande vivement pour tout ce que cet endroit dégage. Si vous cherchez tranquillité, sécurité et conseil. Foncez !

Carlos and Mavel felt like a brother and a mother away from home. They were super accommodating and always willing to help you with anything, like organizing which hike to do and how. We felt very at home, and we would recommends this hostel to anyone who likes a quiet and peaceful home alway from home.

Never before have I felt so much at home at a hostel. Carlos and Marbelle are extremely friendly and helpfull. They sometimes cooked for us and we even played videogames. But if you want to do your own thing that's perfectly fine too. The hostel itself is basic but clean and safe in every way. Location wise it depends on your likings. It's just out of town, up the hill, which makes it a nice and quiet place with fresh air and a great view. Perfect for chilling or as a starting point to do hike...

Si vous souhaitez vous poser quelques jours tranquille dans les montagnes c'est l'endroit rêvé, vous vous y sentirez comme chez des amis de longue date au bout de quelques jours. Grand merci à Carlos et Mabel, vraiment des personnes extraordinaires.

Carlos and Mavel(the Lady) are great Host,I felt like home,anyone looking for a homely environment in a quiet place...look no further..be their guest. Both of them speak english very well,and they could be your one stop Travel Guide. Not only One stop Guide,it will be comparibly cheaper in Town as well,do not take my word ..experience it yourself.

We stayed here when we wanted to do the Vulcán Barú hike. They were very friendly and helped a lot.

Extended from 1 night to 5. Carlos and Mabel did everything to make me comfortable and I felt like having a second home. It's a little far from the Center, but it's very easy to take a collective down there. Like a little homebase in the nature in Boquete. Carlos organised my shuttle to santa catalina and a Ziplining tour as well and I couldn't be more happy about how everything went. We had a lot of nice chats as well. Thank you, you both beautiful souls! I had such a great time.

Gracias por estos días, Mabel y Carlos son unos anfritiones encantadores, dispuestos a conversar y conocer a las personas que se alojan en él, ello hace que se cree un ambiente más cercano. El lugar estaba en una zona tranquila, alejada de todo ruido, eso favorecía en la calidad del sueño, cocina perfectamente equipada y cercano a varias rutas de senderismo. Sin duda volveríamos alojarnos, gracias por hacernos sentir como en casa, les abrazamos fuerte 😃😃
