- Séjour très décevant. La chambre était extrêmement froide, avec une seule prise fonctionnelle pour toute la pièce, et encore, elle marchait mal. Propreté insuffisante : chambre sale, draps et oreillers tachés, odeur d’humidité très forte. L’eau chaude ne dure que quelques minutes et plusieurs équipements sont cassés, notamment le porte-serviettes. Concernant le responsable, Babu, bien qu’il paraisse aimable au premier abord, l’expérience a montré un manque total de professionnalisme. Il cherche surtout à encaisser l’argent et il est fortement déconseillé de passer par lui pour réserver des services. J’ai suivi ses recommandations en lui faisant confiance et il m’a vendu un billet de bus présenté comme un « sofa bus » confortable. La réalité était tout autre : confort médiocre, alors que d’autres voyageurs ont payé le même prix pour un service bien supérieur. Il affirme que j’avais choisi ce bus, ce qui est totalement faux. En somme, un établissement à éviter. Pour le même prix, il existe des hôtels bien plus propres, fiables et professionnels.

I have not registered for a place to live, nor have I been charged for my money, and the location is inconvenient.
Piccolo hotel nelle vicinanze di Thamel, ho alloggiato nella stanza singola basic, che è veramente piccola ma va bene, i muri e la porta sono molto sottili quindi a volte sono stato disturbato dai rumori esterni, provenienti soprattutto dall'albergo vicino. Il bagno era condiviso e ce lo si fa andare bene, non è il massimo. Personale gentile e colazione inclusa nel prezzo, un paio di volte l'ho fatta altrove e mi hanno offerto la cena! Nel complesso, se non si hanno troppe pretese, si sta bene...
I stayed in the hotel near Thamel, I stayed in the basic single room, which is really small but okay, the walls and the door are very thin so sometimes I was disturbed by the outside noise, coming mainly from the nearby hotel. The bathroom was shared and what makes it go well, not is the maximum. Kind staff and breakfast included in the price, a couple of times I made it elsewhere and they offered me dinner!
The property handler was not so acceptable on complaints. He just disagreed to everything and said this is what we offer to everyone. We had to make early checkout to move to other place.
La habitación está bien para el precio que pagas. Tuvimos que matar a mínimo 10 cucarachas por la noche, hay una plaga.

+ The outdoor garden courtyard is really nice, relatively quiet and relaxing to just hang out in. The best feature of this hotel. Some of the staff in particular were really great (a cook/helper person, unfortunately don’t remember name).
- Room was very basic, which is fine, did the job for a few nights. But not especially clean or pleasant… a bit dingy and not a lot of care put in. After travelling a month in Nepal and now having a reference point, rooms don’t compare favourably for value or condition.

+ Wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu. Our room was as advertised and does its job, but the main highlights here are the outdoor space and the staff. Babu is very helpful and accommodating, and all the other staff are so friendly too. Great seating area and good breakfast. It's near the busy heart of Thamel but tucked away from the noise and streets.

+ My Garden House was such a fabulous place to stay. Babu in particular (the owner) is so kind and accommodating. He helped me problem solve when my debit card wasn’t working and also helped connect me to a stellar trekking guide. He is a former guide himself and is extremely knowledgeable about trekking / the industry. I would highly recommend staying here!

+ Le séjour était absolument fantastique! Un véritable havre de paix au sein d’une ville très vivante. L’accueil de Babu et Suzanne, ainsi que le reste de l’équipe était superbe. Je recommande à 100% cette adresse.
+ De tuin met relaxbanken, het supervriendelijke personeel. Alles kan hier voor je geregeld worden!
- Het diner is qua groente wat beperkt, maar qua smaak prima.
+ Host is really nice family and the property is in the city center.
- Bathroom and mats needs to be a bit more clean. The mat was so dirty that wiping legs made it more dirty. There is only one plug point in the room which is placed near the door which means you have to keep a stool near the door to charge the phone if your wire is long enough

+ Kind staff and owners, great location.
+ It's great. The owner even provided hot water, coffee, and food in the morning. It's very close to the bus station, making it convenient to catch a bus.
+ Babu and the team are so friendly, happy to help you organise anything needed for your trip and generally very positive people. The beds are very comfortable, the outdoor sitting / eating area is lovely and a welcome break from the hassle of the city. Great location, easily walkable to all of the main tourist sites.

+ My Garden House is the perfect place to stay for a city trip to Kathmandu or to start of for trekking tours in Nepal. The location is quiet and still in 5 mins walking distance to the tourist center of Thamel. Babu and his boys are helping in everything you need or you want to know. The rooms are clean and they have a small restaurant with a beautiful garden.
- We would have liked some more varieties for breakfast
