Botanico Hostel Bogota

PEOR HOSTAL DESPUES DE 7 MESES DE VIAJE. Tienen cortes de agua regularmente y carteles que piden disculpas por ello incluso cuando si hay agua lo que hace pensar es algo frecuente. Estuve alli 3 dias y no hubo agua hasta justo antes de irme y NO era caliente. Sin agua no se puede usar la cocina y tampoco sirven desayunos, ni funciona el wc. Al pedir compensación por ello me dijeron que "no es su problema". Hace frio todo el rato y las camas hacen ruido. Buena ubicación.

Pésimo servicio por parte del personal, no tienen agua, los baños estaban sucios, las sábanas también y para colmo el trato por parte de la persona de recepción peor, por lo mismo que opté por cancelar mi estadía e irme a otro hostal, no lo recomiendo para nada, pésima experiencia

I extended and they didn’t tell me that the same bed would be 20000 more per night. I found out when I checked out.

We paid about $54 USD for a room with a mattress on the floor. The sheets and pillows had hair in them, which made us worry they weren’t very clean. Cigarette hole in the bottom sheet. There were people in the courtyard bar area talking loudly until at least 3am, which made falling asleep hard. The next night we spent $53 USD for a brand new apartment with a kitchen and two bathrooms.

The horrible reception and wifi. First of all, the wifi is horribly bad. Also, they made me pay money more than i had to pay mistakenly. I sent the reception e-mail about this issue two time. but they never replied.So, I went to the hostel to tell them directly. Finally they checked my e-mail after i got to the hostel and said we will reply to you by e-mail whether you can get the money back after checking his supervisor. But they never send me e-mail.

We were verbally attacked by an hostel guest and the hostel refused to kick that man out. He attacked me and my friend out of nowhere in the kitchen by becoming verbally aggressive and insulting us in a sexist way. He was so aggressive that we left to seek help at the reception. I even started crying. The hostel stuff listened to us. But at the end they didn’t want to have problems with him and refused to kick him out. So we were the ones that had to leave because we did not feel safe anymore....

I was so excited to stay at Botanico because of the garden vibes, but it was not worth it. Overpriced for what you get and I felt lied to. I arranged airport transportation through the hostel and they told me one price via email, and then when I arrived at the hostel was charged a higher price. The security is seriously lacking. There is no luggage storage room, just a bags in a pile in the hall. The dorms/rooms don’t have locks either, everything is open. I was told the dorm would be ready ...

We booked 2 beds in this hostel and upon arrival they had placed us in different rooms. We asked to be put in the same room but they said this was not possible despite their being lots of spare beds. Not a very social hostel and the rooms don’t have doors but curtains.

It was alright, the beds were comfy. However, we turned up and they had only booked in 1 bed instead of 2 in the mixed dorm & we were told we could share a bed if we wanted, not really what you want to hear after a 17 hour flight. The breakfast was also very late both days. There wasn’t much in terms of a welcome apart from a load of leaflets at reception.

I believe they have an idea in mind, but it needs to be fleshed out more.I believe people like the idea of being submersed in flowers and plants which they have. They have a nice balcony to view the sunset. They had some really cool concepts with botanical drinks and such, but there's certain things they can do like fixing the pillow cases on the cushions...maybe making sure the water is hot and that the hostel is comfortable because the whole time it was cold. The internet seemed to be shotty.

Great place.. friendly staff , fantastic view , comfortable beds with curtains. Top notch place to stay

Super nice hostel with a great and really social atmosphere! The staff is very friendly, there is a wonderful terrace that you can see the sunset from, the beds have curtains so you have a bit more privacy and their kitchen is small but well equipped. :)

Very chill, really nice staff but not much atmosphere. Downsides were my bed was right next to reception and there was a fair bit of noise, and you had to walk through the common area to get to the bathrooms. They also had the doors open all the time which meant it was super cold in the evening. But it was very laid back which I liked

Great facilities, feels fresh to be in a botanical hostel! Vibes are great, people were very nice definitely recommend

ubicación, seguridad y limpieza todo cool. el staff inmejorable, me apoyaron para conseguir traslado al aeropuerto super temprano y siempre fueron muy amables todxs. gente linda, pláticas sabrosas y giovanni en el bar 1000/10

Nice place to stay if you’re looking to get good sleep. Nice thick comforters and a cute terrace. I didn’t find all of the staff members to be overly helpful here and the facilities are a little dated. There’s no social atmosphere at all, so if you’re looking to make friends, this isn’t the hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Spent a good time even though it was only for one night!

Uno de los mejores hostels que estuve en Colombia! El personal amable, la chica venezolana es una genia ❤️ es muy limpio y lindo. Súper recomendado

Mir und meiner Freundin hat es sehr gut gefallen. Besonders der Garten und die Terrasse waren etwas Besonderes. Generell waren die Aufenthaltsräume sehr schön und man kam schnell mit anderen ins Gespräch. Die MitarbeiterInnen waren auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einzig war, dass es im Hostel sehr kalt war, weil tagsüber die Fenster und Türen alle offen standen und es draußen kälter war.

Ich bin mit meiner Tochter auf Reisen, haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

i stayed at botanicos for 3 days and i really enjoyed it. the bed was very comfortable, it had lockers in the room. breakfast was very tasty. i met a lot of people at this hostel, which was very nice because it was my first stop in colombia. also very clean & the stuff is very friendly. i fully recommend

Loved my stay!! The bed was SO comfy, with a nice duvet. Best nights I’ve had so far. Nice free coffee with a view in the morning. Everyone was really nice. And great location as well

Had a comfortable one night stay in Botanico. Friendly staff, comfy beds, and the rooftop was a lovely spot for breakfast/chilling. Area is a bit quiet but it at least feels safe

This is honestly such a great hostel. It is super social without forcing anything, I met so many great people here. Facilities are ok, but are compensated by the lovely staff and great vibe. Beds are nice and showers hot! Would 10/10 come again.

Hostel ist top gelegen, mitten in Candelaria oben auf dem Hügel und man hat von der Terrasse einen Wunderschönen Blick auf die Stadt aber auch auf die grünen Berge Bogotas!! Einziges Manko: die Privatzimmer sind lediglich eine Matratze auf dem Boden und etwas feucht, alles andere jedoch 10/10

Really nice staff and good location, also lovely rooftop with a great view of Bogota. Can be a bit drafty on colder nights. Staff make an effort for the hostel to be social which is really nice, but it does mean it can be a bit noisy if you’re trying to get some rest, eg in karaoke night.
