I had the worst night sleep here. I could not get comfortable as the pillow was so thick and was bending my neck so much, so I slept without it (that was not comfortable). The room stank of damp when I got in and only got worse in the night. The door in the room makes a loud squeaky noise, so I was woken up every time it was opened (and I wear ear plugs). I woke up itchy all over in the night, so I’m not sure if they have bed bugs here. My curtain poll was broken and hanging on by an elastic band, so every time I drew the curtain across, it fall. You defo need an eye mask as well as the curtains in the room provide no darkness only the room. Overall, it’s not great. Some improvements to be made for sure. Not to mention that there’s 2 toilets and 2 showers which are available to all the guest, staff and customers of the cafe. So it was a bit of a weird set up when I had my evening shower and there was all these random people around me when I had got out the shower. It’s a bit of a weird set up with the cafe downstairs and the hostel upstairs. I’ve seen that done before, but they make a social place available for the guests too, but it didn’t have that here. (I stayed in the female dorm)

Great hostel and very lovely staff both in the hostel and the Cafe. Good place to get some work done. Despite the reviews saying there is a bed bug issue, I experienced none! Would definitely stay again!

BED BUGS !!! all around i found huge one. my bed second floo so they give me other room on the 3rd floor, same probleme. when we started to talk between the other guest they found same BED BUGS on their beds and one girl in her bag!!!! I have been sleeping at the reception that night .... I clean my all close ( they did that for me ) but even I haven't stay they dont want to refund me a 5 nights wich I have booked ... SCAM !

At check-in, at the reception they give you a paper sheet to read and sign, stating that there is a possibility of bed bugs in the beds. You won't get a refund for the room rate if you decide to change accommodation. I asked the receptionist if she could give me a room without bed bugs. I spent the night in the 6-bed dorm. Within a short time, staying in the bed, I was surrounded by dozens of bed bugs crawling around in the bed. I immediately moved to another free bed in the room. But after a few minutes, bed bugs crawled out of the mattress there too. I immediately moved to another free bed a third time. This bed was also infested with bed bugs. So the receptionist knew very well about this. Apparently, the bed bug problem has been going on for a while. But nothing is being done or cleaned. Also there are no refunds and there is no possibility to cancel in booking. They continue to sell dorm beds on Booking, even though the problem with bedbugs has been going on for months. So it's kind of a scam, I think.

Its 3star only because of staffs and location the cleanness is horrible there are bed bugs everywhere i think its because bed frame material is wooden also building is old please do not expect to stay here if you are sensitive with bed bug hostel refuse to give refund for bed bug

They got bedbugs and still rent out the dorms, even though they’re not fully rid of them. They’ll inform you once you arrive and are ready to check in. Thank you for wasting my time….. Luckily I didn’t arrive so late that I couldn’t book another hostel.

Cons - bug bites in the bed (quite sure it is bed bugs, as other reviews point out) - pay with cash only - they don’t put toilet paper in the washroom stalls so you have to plan and bring it in with you - lobby and stairwell smell like sewage, our room did not - bed is hard as concrete and pillows are thick and stiff I didn’t even bother using mine Pros - great staff, super kind and friendly - best smile and probably the nicest staff I’ve met so far - great location in Phuket old town - cheap!

I had booked for 4 days. Upon arrival I was shown a paper explaining they had bedbugs entering was at my own risk. reception said they had sprayed, sweaty & tired I paid for 1 night, 1 bedbug, 2nd night 1 bedbug. I had to change dorm as they were going to spray the dorm again. I was shown the replacement dorm which was a shambles as they had been cleaning it. I then booked another hostel for the 2 last days. The hostel page promised a common room, tea/coffee facilities none of this happened.

Full of bed bugs in every bed, we were not able to sleep. Receptionist asked to call to help, however, it’s not reasonable to calling every hour to clean bed bugs in the middle of the night 😒… Showers/wc not clean and the reception smells bad. Will not come back

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOSTEL, IS FULL OF BEDBUGS. We couldn’t even sleep. As soon as you go inside the place it smells bad.

They have an issue with bed bugs, which the staff promptly tried to solve. Unfortunately it’s not the hostel’s fault, but still an unpleasant situation. The hostel is very simple and not very cozy, they could improve the decor and create a lounge/common area for guests.

The hostel's location was great, and the rooms were very spacious. I was really happy to stay in Old Town. However, the hostel provides nothing—no water, kettle, tea, or coffee, which would have been nice. There was a bedbug issue during my stay, and they only told me at check-in, so I had no other option. I actually woke up with bites… They were cleaning thoroughly every day, but a heads-up, a discount, or even a free coffee would have been a nice gesture. Ich würde diese Unterkunft nicht nochmal buchen und keinem Empfehlen! Die haben ein großes Bed Bug Problem!! In meinem ersten Bett waren Bed Bugs, mir wurde ein anderes Bett gegeben und dort waren auch welche. Alle aus meinem Zimmer wurden in andere Räume verlegt und das Personal meinte sie würden den Raum sperren, weil alle Betten Bed Bugs hatten. Alles gelogen! Ein paar Stunden später haben neue Backpacker eingecheckt und wurde in das „gesperrte“ Zimmer geführt. Und es stinkt nach Abfluss

AVOID ! Beds are rocks solid and infested with bed bugs, when trying to get hold of the property as I had to leave at 1am they didn’t bother to get in contact with me. The showers and rooms are dirty and there’s a sever bed bug problem. Complete health hazard.

BED BUGS do not stay here…

I had bed bugs in the bed during my stay. So I left the hostel in the night once I noticed. I came back in the morning to ask the reception to help me find a new place to stay but it wasn’t possible and they also didn’t wanted to give me the money back for this night and the following that I booked. They offered me another room but after that incident I wanted to stay somewhere else so I ended up paying for the place anyways and had to organize everything by myself. Cannot recommend, be careful!

My bed had bed bugs so I left during the first night. Unfortunately even after this incident I didn’t get any money back for this and the following night. Would not recommend!

Bed bugs everywhere! Impossible to sleep… I wasted my money

Many issues during my 8 nights stayed. Customers from the coffee restaurant in first floor use same restroom that guests in the rooms. I wanted to use the laundry machine and they didn’t have coins available . The dryer use airing program , so the clothes are not totally dry. One night I stayed in Railey which is an island in Kravi so I didn’t sleep there , next day when I came back , my bed was made and my stuff on the floor . I asked the girl she said because of my long stay they wanted to change the linen , but they didn’t informed me and I can think they rented my bed for that night. One day I had a tour and the driver came to the from desk asking for me for picking up time and they didn’t know who I was . Most important is bed bugs . At the beginning I thought was mosquito bites , because I was on the beach almost everyday . But during the morning the bites started showing up . So didn’t pay attention until my 6th night I saw the insect on the bed . I reported to the recepcionist and the solution was sprayed and changing me from bed . Ok next day I had more bites , I decided to do check out in my seventh night because I felt desperately with itchy on my skin and I asked the receptionist for refund and she said I have to contact the Agoda app because I booked with them , so they are working on that . Let’s see ! And apparently this bedbugs issue is in different hostels in Phuket . Happened to my friend yesterday , she had to move 3 times . Restaurant personal and the receptionists are friendly. I think the facts talk by themself . I don’t recommend at all this place .

WARNING : BED BUGS J’ai prévenu la veille de mon départ, un air prétendant être étonné par la dame de l’accueil (au vue des commentaires, pas la première fois qu’on leur remonte l’info), je demande à ce qu’ils me changent les draps. J’ai quitté l’auberge ce matin avec une vingtaine de piqûres sur le corps, des bed bugs visible sous les draps et sur le bord du matelas. ABSOLUMENT PAS OK

Solo Female - I had a terrible experience!! I checked in around afternoon and went to there cafe area for some water but they had no drinking water available, so I picked it from 7/11 since I was exhausted I went to sleep early and my body started itching and I just couldn't sleep even after few hours then, I switched my mobile camera and found bed bugs all over. I recorded the video and showed it to the girl at the front desk and she was behaving innocent, I told them to immediately refund so that I check-out and they did initiate the refund after failing to convince me. it was past 2300hrs and I managed to get out and went and sat at the close by park trying to find a decent hostel. With my bags walked around a bit some people were helpful and thus found a nice place for 3 nights. I didn't wanted to give in or compromise, probably that's what most travellers do and then these people do not take any action! This place was the worst ever place in Thailand I stayed!

Bedbugs in de bedden

The rooms and beds were good, but there was some construction going on that it said in the hostel description would be done by the end of september. however when i arrived two days after that end date it was still ongoing and very loud. There were also bedbugs in two of the beds in my dorm and when one of the girls was asking for help and to cancel her remaining stay, the manager was extremely rude und refused to help, saying it wasn’t from his hostel even when she showed him videos of them.
