Apartment option was not clean, fridge was filthy and sheets had stains on them. Filled with bugs and cockroaches at all time to the point we had to leave Weird banging noise all night Kitchen in the apartment had zero supplies (literally nothing) but the shared kitchen downstairs did Even though it was a budget option, much better can be found for a similar price point Location was fine, similar to all budget options can get a $1.50 easily throughout town
Most reviews I would take with a grain of salt. However, read this and the others carefully. We ended up booking a new hostle due to the lack of A/C, cleanliness, safety, and location. The walk was 25-30 minutes from the town/port. There was no AC in the room, minimal cleaning between guests, and additional charges for breakfast. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere, it will be worth it. While the owner was nice, the lack of disclosure through descriptions and in pictures is disappointing.
Abbastanza fuori mano (15/20 minuti a piedi dal centro), cucina incasinata e disordinata. Ok ci sta di non trovare la padrona ad aspettare, ma che nessun altro della famiglia sappia dare informazioni lascia un poco straniti, la sensazione è stata di non essere proprio attesi. Cmq questo scritto non vuole creare problemi a nessuno.
It's okay not to find the hostess waiting, but the fact that no one else in the family knows how to give information leaves a little strange, the feeling was that you weren't really expected.Cmq this writing doesn't want to create problems for anyone.
Very dirty. When we arrived we informed the staff our toilet didn’t flush and there was old rotten food in the fridge with hundreds of bugs on it. The food stayed there our entire stay, so we never opened the fridge. It was clear the place had not been cleaned properly in a long time. Staff weren’t very welcoming, but would give directions if you asked
Cleaning has not their priority. The day from arriving till I left (2 nights) they did not clean for sure and probably the days before neighter. Besides that, there will be no one at the reception during your stay.
We took this hostel because it was a bit cheaper than the rest, but we ended up paying the difference in taxi fares to get to the tourist part of the town. When we arrived in our room, there was nice poop on one of the beds. The next day we found multiple insects in our room. The next day we found two cockroaches and other insects again. The place was dirty and the owner kept coming in our room without permission.
Don’t do it! There was absolutely no service! Officially there is breakfast included. I had never breakfast there. Nobody was there. Nobody explained something to me. Nothing! I had the feeling that I’m disturbing them when I arrived. I really really can’t recommend this hostel. Horrible!
Friendly owner. The hostel is a little far from the city center and the pier, around 25 minutes by walk. The biggest issue was the wifi, which had no internet at all.

Staff were never around to speak to about it. Overall would recommend if you just need a cheap place to stay for a couple of nights

Das Hostel ist ein super Ort für low Budget reisende wie wir. Die Zimmer haben alles was man braucht, heisses Wasser und eine Küche. Die Besitzerin ist super hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Die Unterkunft ist 20 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt oder man kann ein Taxi für 2$ nehmen. Haben uns sehe wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen, was wir auch 2x gemacht haben 😊
The hostel is a great place for low budget travelers like us. the rooms have everything you need, hot water and a kitchen. the hostess is super helpful and very nice. the accommodation is 20 minutes walking distance from the center or you can take a taxi for 2$. have you seen us feel good and would return anytime, which we have also done 2x 😊
The hostel is a 20 minute walk from town. The first couple of times this was OK but then it was a drag. The cleanliness is OK apart from when I arrived, there was a dead cockroach in the middle of the bathroom. There were cobwebs too. The most beneficial thing about this place no one booked it so for a dorm price I had a “private room”. The first couple of days, you can tell someone went to check on the bathroom and also made the bed, after that nothing. The owner is never about.
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and the AC is great. The guide who lives on the first floor can arrange some nice tours with good boats and good food.

Hostel was good, host allowed me to do some laundry (no machine but I could manual wash with laundry soap) which was nice and provided breakfast. The hostel was very quiet with little to no social atmosphere - however that does seem to be the case on the Galapagos, and did mean I had a 3 bed room to myself. The room also had air con. Hostel was relatively far from the main part of town, but given the town is very small it was still only a short 20 minute walk. Overall a fine place to stay.
Great place for a good price on the Galapagos. Rooms are good sizes with aircon, and ensuites. kitchen has everything you need. The breakfast included is good and a good way to start the day! its a little walk to the centre but given the price this is to be expected.

Could have been better.. The place feels a bit abandoned.. in terms of cleaning I was expected more as toilets in the main area are dirty, there was never some toilet paper, kitchen has equipment but not very new and clean.. Nobody to welcome you, they tell you to grab a key and find your way.. My friend booked a private room but we ended up in the same room, we also slept with cockroaches but it’s not a big deal as we are surrounded by nature Good point as they give you a towel and there is ...
Location was a bit of a walk but for the price you can’t beat it.
I loved the hostel! excellent staff, comfortable bed and breakfast included. All this at a good price. The location should be a trick, but it ends up being an advantage, because, as it is a little far from the city center, there are cheap services around the hostel: food, markets, laundry, etc.

Séjour de trois nuits à l hôtel ! Très bon rapport qualité/prix ! Literie impeccable ! La personne qui s occupe de la gestion a été présente à chaque fois que nous avons eu une demande! Toutefois , nous avions une chambre sur rue, il y a beaucoup de chiens qui aboient, c est un peu loin du centre si on veut se déplacer autrement qu en taxi! Et la cuisine est parfois limite question propreté.
Stayed three nights at the hotel ! Very good value for money ! impeccable bedding ! The person who handles the management was present every time we had a request! however , we had a room on the street, there are many dogs barking, it is a bit far from the center if you want to move other than by taxi! and the kitchen is sometimes limited cleanliness issue
Very nice hostel, I can't understand the negative reviews, you can see the location on the map, I think the path is very pleasant, I liked walking it, so you also take a few steps, would estimate 15 minutes to the center, staff is super nice, adapts to the guests with the breakfast and gives good recommendations, I highly recommend it
You can reach the pier by taxi costing $1.50 make sure you have enough of small change.
Auberge un peu loin du centre (20 minutes à pieds ou $1.5 en taxi), la propriétaire n’est pas des plus agréables mais la dame qui travaille avec elle est adorable. Les petits déjeuner sont parfaits, ils peuvent louer des masques de snorkeling pour $5. Pour les petits budgets, on recommande !
Hostel a little far from the center (20 minutes on foot or $1.5 by taxi), the owner is not the nicest but the lady who works with her is adorable. breakfasts are perfect, they can rent snorkeling masks for $5.
Ganz gutes hostel. Wurde täglich geputzt und das Person war auch sehr freundlich. Ich habe mich außerdem sehr sicher gefühlt. Lage ist etwas abgelegen (man muss ca 20 Minuten zur Stadtmitte/Strand laufen). Ein taxi kostet jedoch auch nur 1,50$. Die Küche war nicht so sauber, aber akzeptabel. Leider war die Dusche nicht warm, was wohl aber ein Problem der ganzen Insel darstellte
Ganz gutes hostel. Was cleaned daily and the person was also very friendly. I also felt very safe. The location is somewhat remote (you have to walk about 20 minutes to the city center/beach). A taxi, however, costs only $1.50. The kitchen was not so clean, but acceptable. Unfortunately the shower was not warm, which was a problem for the whole island.
