Hostel Angelina - Old Town Dubrovnik - Southern pa

Friend got bed bugs and he was in the bed next to me. Overall seemed clean but apparently not after my boy got bed bugs. Annoying, we had to clean out everything before our next stay, couldn't even use the laundry facility on the hostel to get rid of the bugs.

The main issue I had was for my first night I wasn't in the main building (the hostel has 7 different buildings around the old town) which the staff did not mention prior to booking. My first night I was in a room up a few flights of steps with one shower/toilet shared between 12 people and the air conditioner was a simple machine but only hit the one middle room leaving the two side rooms a sweat box. In the main building, the showers didn't have much space to hang clothes so it was at times difficult in making sure that clothes didn't get wet. Some of the beds also had bed bugs and the duvet covers were poor quality.

The location is nice, it is in the center of the old city. However, the bed were dirty because there were bedbugs on it ! @Hostel Angelina, wash your beds please !

pros: hostel whatsapp is great, receptionists are lovely and overall met some lovely people and had an awesome time cons: got bitten by BED BUGS, was in the dorm that was 110 stairs up and a 10 minute walk from the main hostel which had tiny bathrooms the size of a cupboard

The staff and people are really good. Great atmosphere for solo travelers. I stayed in a room for myself and it was filthy. They clearly hadn’t cleaned it since I found some old toothbrush and some papers. The room was really ugly, for the price I was paying, and to top it all, the next morning i had BEDBUG BITES ALL OVER. Would not recommend this stay, specially the private room. Make sure they put you in the main building

Overall I had a great time at Angelinas, but it was mostly because of the people I met there. The facilities were basic, the showers were cold in the mornings and there was not really a common space. There were also bed bugs on property while I was there so that was unnerving. Overall is was a good stay.
