The beds have bed bugs

My friends and I stayed in one of the dorms and we woke up to bites on our legs, we always check the beds and my bed was covered in bed bug marks, they say they do a bed bug cleaning schedule and they never got updated or done in the 4 days we were there, one of the showers has a hole in it so you can see the other person. Staff were great it just wasn’t clean.

Room Concerns 1)The staircase to the room is quite steep, and the railing feels a bit loose, which could be unsafe. 2)Cleanliness could be improved — the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed, and the floor felt somewhat dusty. 3) I booked for two nights, but unfortunately, the bed might have had bed bugs, as I got bitten all over my legs during the stay.

Das bisher schlechteste Hostel in Südostasien… Die Bettwäsche ist voller Flecken, vergilbt und alt. Ich habe 2x nachgefragt, ob diese gewechselt werden kann. Leider immer wieder mit dem selben Ergebnis. Weitere deutliche Anzeichen für Bettwanzen habe ich beim Personal angesprochen, wurde ignoriert… Der Service des Personals war miserabel. Aufgrund einer Falschbuchung musste ich tagelang mehrfach bzgl. meiner Rückerstattung nachfragen; zu keinem Zeitpunkt ist jemand auf mich zugekommen, der „informierte Manager“ scheint wohl nicht existiert zu haben… Das Geld habe ich nicht wiederbekommen, danke dafür.

Bedbugs!! I saw a review after I already paid and messaged the hostel via booking.com to see if it was still the case. They said the issue was resolved. Turns out room # 22 does has bedbugs, I even captured one in a water glass and showed reception. It was my last night there, I messaged management via booking.com and 3 days later they still haven't replied.. I am very disappointed, have bedbug bites and got all my laundry done at a place to make sure I don't have any that crawled on my belongings. This is the worst rating I've ever given a place and I do not do this lightly but their lack of communication and the bugs makes my skin crawl (literally). It's a pity, the staff was friendly, the location is great but bedbugs are NOT okay. Also not okay is not responding to a guest's message about all of this. Shame on you.

We checked into a private double room and straight away it felt dirty. There was obvious urine left in the crevices of the toilet seat and generally the room wasn’t clean - the bathroom was black which actually showed all the dust. We then discovered bed bugs in our bed which was just the cherry on top. I will say that the staff were quick to respond and we was given an empty dorm room to sleep that night, they fumed our clothes and gave us free laundry tokens for the clothes we had worn. Although this experience completely ruined the start of our trip as we then had to spend the day washing and finding alternative accommodation. We checked out immediately that morning on the promise of a full refund within 14 days in which we would have been happy with their overall response following the issue. However it has now been 3.5 weeks of us consistently chasing and feeling stressed to get our refund as we had paid a lot for this hostel - to finally get our money back. This hostel had a lot of potential with its set up and amenities, however the cleanliness and the response following our experience is so shocking that I cannot recommend.

My stay at this hostel was a nightmare! I woke up at 3 AM covered with a lot of bed bug bites on my arms and legs. Luckily, I managed to take photos of one (I saw three!) When I showed the staff the photo with the timestamps, they got a little defensive. One of them even said that their bed bugs are small so if I saw a big one, it must have been brought in by a previous guest which made no sense!!! The hostel refused to refund my 5-night stay. They offered me another room in a mixed dorm but I refused because I wasn't comfortable (I booked a female dorm for a reason!) but despite being clear about my decision, the staff kept pressuring me to accept the new room. They even made me wait over an hour to do laundry, only to tell me that their manager didn't approve the refund. The hostel seems to be aiming for an old, vintage vibe but it's honestly just old and poorly maintained. Toilets are quite smelly and shower areas were really nasty. Also, their bed sheets have old period stains too ugh! I definitely would not recommend this place.

Bed Bugs and No Refund!! I had an awful experience at this hostel. My stay was ruined by bed bugs (which you can clearly see in my picture). Despite providing evidence, management refused to refund my money, denying that they have a bed bug infestation and claiming that I had used a picture from a prior visitor. The lack of cleanliness and poor customer service is unacceptable. I strongly advise avoiding this place if you value your health and money.

After travelling in from prior destinations myself and my friend checked in here to resume our trip but what we found appears to be a common theme of bedbugs. Even more disappointing as when consulting with management we weren’t able to get our money back and forced to go elsewhere as we were not comfortable sleeping in a bedbug ridden bed. Hate to leave a poor review as the area itself is lovely.

This hostel has a bed bug problem and they're denying it + gaslighting me... Skip this one, or you have new 'companions' for the rest of your trip

BED BUGS WARNING - Despite some of the staff being very nice and the general style of the hostel being cool with old art and amenities. When I first checked in I didn’t mind how dirty it was in the room however in the night when I woke up itching I found many bed bugs and red patches on the sheets from where I’d squished them. I immediately when to the reception where they said I could have another dorm bed, I checked this dorm bed and it too had bed bugs. The staff then said I could have another bed, I checked again and the third room had bed bugs. The place is infested, such a shame as it’s in a really good spot.

BED BUGS WARNING - They changed my room but the new room also had bed bugs refused to give a refund. It’s a shame hostel world doesn’t let us attach videos it was grim blood on the sheets bed bugs crawling all around. I didn’t mind the hostel being dirty but bed bugs no thanks mate

There is a bed bug infestation suspected in my room as I was bitten during the stay. Had inform staff and hopefully they will look into this seriously.

They don’t clean the beds between 2 people. First bed I had there was dust and bed bugs! After telling and showing them they gave me another room. The second room was so dirty with hair and dead mosquitos on the bed, sticky disgusting marks under the bed. When I woke up the day after I saw again bed bugs!! So I left and they didn’t even apologize or give me a refund for the nights I didn’t do! They didn’t even look at me when giving me back my deposit. Never experienced so rude staff and disgusting hostel.

One of the most dirty place in which I stayed. The mattresses and sheets was dirty with Bloodstain And bed bugs !!! I had to change the during the night and second was dirty too and after the third one it was just ok... I didn't get any compensation, the staff just offered a free laundry, what a joke. Definitely, the first and last time in this hostel. If you go to KL you can easily find better and most cleaner.

Les douches et Wc étaient vraiment très petits et il n’y avait pas beaucoup d’espace pour poser les affaires. La piscine est en plein milieu d’un restaurant. Attention des punaises de lit sur un des dortoirs. Nous l’avons signalé à la réception et ils ont fait le nécessaire des le lendemain !
