Dirty and grubby, bins in kitchen and bathrooms over flowing Smoking area is inside by the kitchen so the kitchen and upstairs toilet smell like an ash tray Uncomfortable and lumpy beds and pillows One staff member constantly walked around blasting crap loud music from his phone disturbing people who are trying to read/work in the common area Checked out a day early and also left covered in bites so possible bed bugs

I had bed bug bites on my body when I left the hostel. I emailed the hostel to ask if there is an issue and for help with making sure there are none in my bag and clothes. It's been several days since I emailed and no response. The common areas were really nice but the bathrooms were cramped and dirty. The beds didn't feel very stable and when I checked, my bed was missing screws.

Check in slow. But friendly staff. Room was nice and bright but had a weird smell of petrol/gas. I got bed bugs first night. Asked to move rooms, no rooms available to move to, so they said they’d clean the bed. Of course, a ‘clean’ doesn’t get rid of bed bugs and the second night it happened again. Asked to change rooms and the only bed they had was in a smaller room with bunk beds (I had a single bed) and would have to change again the next day. Asked for a refund instead. They did grant this. They were apologetic and friendly about but if you are prone to bed bugs please beware!

Got bitten by bed bugs. Beds have plastic sheets on. Breakfast was free but on the verge of decomposition. Had the feel of a managed squat.
