- Where do I start . The owner isn’t honest and all she’s concerned around is making additional money from customers . Here are a few examples. I had booked one night and paid for an overnight lake tour . Was told it was 2500 Bhat but then she added an additional 125 bhat claiming it was for VAT. Everyone else that booked it at the hostel rather than rather link she sent to me didn’t pay the VAT. Upon checking in, I asked about an additional night but she told me she was fully booked . But then I was able to book on Booking.com. Basically all she’s interested in is getting Guests in and out and booking tours and making money from the tours . My advice would be , do not book your tours until you are in Khao Sok. The one offered by this hostel is very basic. Bamboo hut, with a light bulb and a fan. No power sockets. Food was awful in comparison to what the other group had and the toilets and showers were shocking. The result of the group they didn’t bathe because they were that poor. I myself bathed in the lake. They label as a safari. It’s basically just a boat trip. Everybody was really disappointed and questioning why they had paid so much for such a disappointing tour. Do you not book your tour with this hostel . Consider booking it at on one of the other numerous outlets that are in walking distance. It will probably be a lot better value and there is plenty of availability. I ordered a transfer from the hostel to the local airport. It was 80 bhat more than 123go however she labelled it as pick up from the hostel and dropped to the airport. Actually it was her husband dropping me three minutes up the road to the mini bus station and me having to sit and wait for 40 minutes until the Mini bus left for to the airport. I had known that I would’ve booked them directly Again there are other hostels and outlets where you can book your transfer.

+ WORST hostel experience in my 6 years Solo traveling. I have been all over the globe and stayed in 100s of hostel but this was by far my worst experience. From the minute I got there the old lady at reception was hostile and aggressive. Did not want to put the aircon on for me and was very very angry and intimidating for a solo traveller. It was a HUGE disappointment to arrive in khao sok village and be welcomed like I was. Save yourself the money and traumatic experience and stay elsewhere… you can not treat guests in such manner and expect to be a successful hostel. There is no excuse for behaving in such a way. I’ve been to 6/7 continents and experienced some cultures but there is no excuse for that behavior.

- The shouting and screaming from the old lady and response from other reception staff. There is NO excuse for treating guests and solo travelers in this way.

- Pire hôtel de Khao Sok. La gérante doit se faire soigner, elle est absolument infecte. Elle a refusé de me laisser check-in puis de me rembourser sans aucune raison. J'ai été menacé physiquement par le mari a coup de bar de fer. A fuir absolument !

+ Rooms generally cleanly.

- DO NOT STAY HERE. Lady was unfriendly and aggressive from the start, and eventually scammed us. Rooms were relatively clean but lack of plug sockets around the beds and lack of curtains were an issue. No blanket, just a big towel. Bathrooms were constantly drenched and massively flooded, with no extractor fan or window to dry them out. Room stank constantly of mould and the air con started leaking. The owner stormed into our room at 9am and started shouting morning and woke up half the room. When we left, we had a ticket for a minivan booked for 11:20, we asked for a taxi from reception, and she said she’d order one and it’d be 150 baht for the three minute drive. She said the bus left at 12, and that she’d called the bus place and checked us in. The taxi arrived at 11:50, and low and behold when we got there they said our ticket was no longer valid, and we had to pay another 1,500 baht each to get to our next destination. We were a bit naive to believe we didn’t need to be there for 11:20, but we had trusted her. When calling her at the bus station, she immediately hung up when I told her we had to pay for a new ticket. All a massive scam and bad experience.

+ L'emplacement est correct, les chambres sont nettoyées tous les jours, possibilité de remplir les gourdes. C'est un rapport qualité prix avantageux au regarde des lits et de la salle de bain, c'est tout...

- La gérante m'a pris en grippe car je n'ai pas réservé de tour auprès de son hôtel. Elle p'a humilier devant ses employés et devant moi sous prétexte que je n'avais réservé me tour avec elle. Ensuite elle a été exécrable au possible avec moi et mon ami. Le check out est a 10h et ce n'est pas flexible même en demandant le plus gentiment possible. De plus l'hôtel ne garde pas vos bagages si vous n'avez pas réservé de tour, c'est la 1re fois que je vois celà. Les femmes de ménage (qui sont très aimable et qui n'y sont pour rien) arrivent à 9h30 dans les dortoirs, ouvrent en grand les rideaux et commence le ménage. Dès que je rentrais du déjeuner, du dîner, de mon trek ou même d'une simple promenade la gérante me demandais ou j'étais avec un air accusateurs. Bref si vous ne comptez pas réserver in tour AVEC cet hôtel je ne vous recommande pas d'y aller. C'est la 1re fois en 4 mois que je tombe sur une personne aussi méchante que la gérante. C'était une très mauvaise expérience pour mon ami et moi.

- The " Karen " with no sense of the service mind. I really got the bad experience here ! お持て成しのないオバタリアンオンナー。 最悪な経験だった。 พนักงานพม่า ทำงานไม่ได้ ไม่รู้เรื่องอะไรซักอย่าง ห้องร้อนมากในตอนกลางวัน แม้มีแอร์ เครื่องทำน้ำอุ่นพัง ไม่มีใครสนใจ ที่สำคัญ ... มนุษย์ป้า เจ้าของที่พัก ... ประสบการณ์สยองขวัญ ที่ต้องจ่ายเงิน ถึงจะได้ !!

- Es war Abend bis um 5:30 sehr, sehr laut, Techno Musik. Ich konnte nur mit Ohrstöpsel schlafen.

+ The hostel was very clean, with nice food and coffee. The lady running it was very helpful in booking all the extra activities, such as jungle tours, an overnight stay in the national park, and more.

+ Great location. Friendly staff.

- No lockers or storage in dorm. Cold shower.

+ L emplacement très bien pour l entré au Parc et pratique pour le soir pour ce détendre ou passer une bonne soirée.

- C'est un peu cher, mais tout et relatif

+ L' emplacement, la taille des pièces, la vue de la chambre, la climatisation

- La présence de fourmis dans la chambre. L'eau chaude est un peu aleatoire.
